We Stayed at Japan’s $1000/Night Island Paradise 🇯🇵

So different to the other end of 
the uh the island. This beautiful,   really tropical. I can see why this gets 
it reputation of being the Hawaii of Japan. Cheers. Cheers. White sandy beaches and 
turquoise blue sea. Living the dream. Feel so important doing this. Am I going to regret not 
getting those steak? That looks unreal. Hi guys, welcome back. We’re on to Dridgers. If you’re new 
here, we’re a full-time travel couple from the UK.   We’ve got something super exciting for you 
guys. We are staying on the tropical island of Okinawa. We are staying at this resort for 
two nights. Oriental Hotel Okinawa resort and spa. It’s a fivestar luxury hotel just north 
of the island of Okuana in Japan. Let’s go and check in and show you around. Right, I’ve already 
got our bags. So, hello. Thank you. That’s heavy. Everyone always struggles that one. Thank you. 
I think I can see what sweatiness. Yeah, we are. Yeah. Yeah. We just got the uh public bus here and 
we are really sweaty. It was a good long old trip. There are rooms under Ben. Benjamin. Yeah. Hello. 
Hello. Wow. Look at this. [Music] Thank you. Hello. Thank you. Under Benjamin Dridge. Okay. 
Your reservation is under. Okay. Um Mr. D, your reservation is for a club room. 
So we would like to check in for you   at the lounge of a bed. Okay then. Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. So, because 
our booking is the club lounge, we’re actually going to a VIP area. Oh, nice. Look at this though. Airport 
trolley. I know. Yeah,   it’s cool. I’m so glad to get rid of our 
bags. My back. Is it got a wet patch? Yeah, a little bit. Is it actually? Oh god. 
Here you go. This is club lounge. We are being treated well already. 
Sit down. Thank you. Thank you. And first of all, we serve the welcome drink 
service. You can choose between champagne or seasonal drinks. Which one would you like? Is it 
champagne? Champagne or seasonal drink? Champagne. Uh seasonal drink for me, please. Thank you. 
I actually feel so like unprepared for this. I’m so sweaty and an absolute mess. Honestly, 
obviously we got off the bus, a little bit flustered. And then we just walked up. There’s 
This is built on a hill because it’s in the middle   of the rainforest. There is a free shuttle. 
Yeah, there is a real free shuttle, but we obviously didn’t use it. Um, yeah. So, we’ve been 
trekking, sweating and stuff. And then we come in,   we got act all like proper and posh, hand us 
champagne and things, and we’re just unprepared for it. Room though, it’s really impressive. Very 
like a proper green vibe. juice. Thank you. Thank you. This is original chocolate. Oh, nice. Nice. 
Thank you. Oh, this is very nice. Thank you. Cheers. Cheers. So, I don’t like 
champagne. I’m not going to waste   it cuz I wanted something really fresh. 
But this is wellness. Kind of reminds me of cranberry juice. And after that hot walk. 
This hotel is actually built on the mouth of the Yamburu forest. So they’ve kept like an 
immersive natural feeling. So obviously you see all the plants very green and it’s a big 
open space. Yeah, it’s really really beautiful here and it’s a perfect welcome. We just got 
some chocolate as well. It’s a Yangjo Island salt chocolate tin. It’s got a little stick to 
stab it. It kind of reminds me of a brownie. Oh my god. You won’t like it. I’ll have it all in one. It’s 
rich in it. Like a fudge. M like a brownie. Yeah. Oh god. Imagine this for a welcome for the hotel. 
You haven’t got a standard queue in. You just sat down with some lovely drinks and they do all 
our check-in over there. That’s perfect way to start your hotel trip. So, we’re all checked 
in. So, we’re just going to a room now. We still   got a little trolley, but they just said just 
leave it outside there. There’s our room. Oh, I’m so excited. So, you lot are going to 
get the first impressions with us. Should   I move I’ll move this in? No. Uh, she Yeah. 
Well, she said leave the trolley outside. No. Oh, wow. Oh, no. See that balcony? Look at this. So, all their 
rooms have just been refurbished over the last 3 years. Also, every single room is a 
beach front and pool view. Look at that. Oh, I don’t think I’ve ever had a view like this. 
But you got a little seating area here. Balcony. How do I open this? Oh, push. Little balcony 
area. Look at that for a pool. This is one of the largest pools in Okuana Island. Used 
to be the largest. Used to be the largest, but they’ve had a couple of new hotels built. 
Look at that. What a view. Ben, they’ve even got a slide for you to check out the rest of the room. 
I did hear there’s a mini bar in here. We need to find this mini bar in there. What we got? Oh, 
wow. That is a good mini bar. Beer. Yes. Yep. Some orange. Two of them. Uh I don’t know what these 
are. These are local drinks. Oh, that’s alcohol. 5% in it. That’s probably a bit of me. Bit of you. 
Yeah. Oh, I’m going to have one of them now. Like iced tea maybe. Um, tomato juice. Don’t know what 
that is. And Coke. Two bottles of water. Anything in there? Nope. Oh, I’m going to Everyone just 
wants to see the mini bar. Oh, don’t we all? Oh my god, that is so nice. That’s like holiday in 
a can. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a mini bar that ever stocks an alcoholic drink that I like 
cuz it’s always wine and beer and that’s wild noise. We got like a little stove kettle. Must 
heat it up on there. Oh wow, even the cups. This is beautiful. Tea, coffee. Two beds, one each. 
Two long beds. Robes. You know us love a robe. Oh, these feel like quite new as well. Slippy slips. 
Slippy slips. And let’s check out the bathroom. They’ve won bonus points. There’s a bath. Bath, 
shower, sink, the toilet. Always a smart toilet in Japan. Even like the public toilets are 
smart. So, hair dryer, little bits and bobs. But anything you haven’t got, you can go 
downstairs. There’s even like a room with like   soaps and everything. We’ll go and show you it in 
a minute cuz when she showed us it, we were like, “What? It’s free.” And they’re like, “Yeah.” So, 
we’re going to check it out in a bit. Oh my god,   Ben. I’m in heaven. Where you going? I’ve lost 
him. Sorry. Just looking around. It’s lovely, isn’t it? So nice. Oh, look at the TV. Oh, this 
is so nice. So, we’ve actually booked dinner for 7:30. It’s only 4:00 at the moment. I think 
drinks start at 5. Yeah, she said the appetizers. She said you’ll eat so many of They’re so nice. 
You eat so many of them, you probably won’t want   your dinner. So, we’ll go and check that out in a 
minute. Check that out. So, we’ll just go have a shower refreshing cuz we are stinky sweaty bus 
mess at the moment. And then we’ll go down for some cocktail hour and dinner. So, before we head 
out for drinks and dinner, just run myself bath. But look how nice that is. Like a walk full tap. 
And then I’ve just found some bath salt. So we got some grapefruit. Gonna have a Oh god. Oh, that’s 
strong. How nice is that? So I’m going to have a nice refreshing bath with our beer and drink. Oh, 
it’s so nice. All right, so we’ve come downstairs now to get some dinner. Well, first of all, we’re 
going to go for drinks. Ben’s not very happy cuz   it starts at 5:00 and ends at 7:00. It’s at quart 
6 now. But look how nice this hotel is. We’ve got like a gift shop there. I think on the other side 
in there is like if you want to buy drinks and snacks, but why would we do that? But this is the 
coolest thing. I’ve never seen this in any other   hotel any other hotel. But this is the coolest 
thing. I’ve never seen this in any other hotel. You can help yourself to anything in here. So you 
got toothbrushes, slippers, um bath salts. You can bag them up and put them in there. cut off some of 
the posh soap here. So, this is like all homemade um local sourced ingredients. They even got games 
here. Games, ear plugs, shaving gel, like half these amenities you got in your room. But you 
got like extra things. Hair band. It’s cool. Welcome drinks so you can help yourself to these 
detox waters. And then these What are these? Is this food? Is it food? Is it sugar? Oh, she said 
something about the sugar being grown here. Oh, no. Yeah, she did say something about the sugar. 
Yeah, try it. Uh, different flavors of different   sugars. It’s bend with the soil. Is it sugar or 
soap? Yeah, it’s brown sugar. Oh, man. That’s well good. Is it? I want one now. Give me that 
one. It’s so honey tasting. Maybe it’s honey. Oh my god. If you ate too much of that, your 
teeth will be well hurting. Good. M. So, we got all different kind of ones there. And then 
we got like candies. I heard these are meant to be really nice. But it’s all like locally sourced 
made around this area. What’s over here? Oh, green tea. I might have to throw all 
them in my bag. Drinks. Crafts. Oh, curry. This is so cool. I’ve never 
seen a hotel like this. But this   is a club lounge. So to get in here, 
you need to scan your card over here. Look at this. This is so cool. So, where we were 
sitting earlier on, we thought that was like the club lounge area. That was just like the reception 
bit. So, we’ve got our own separate room. Oh my god. And you can help yourself. Let’s go and see. 
So, there’s like snacks, poured pork, salad. So, we can have a little starter before we go for our 
dinner. Tea, coffees, cocktail. Ben, you going to try and make me a cocktail? Make you one. Yeah. 
What do you want? I want a cosmopolitan. Uh, is that vodka? Oh, look. You got a pump 
for your beer. Oh, no. You got spirits, and then you got all your cans, juices. This 
is so cool. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. What? Why are we not down here at 
5:00 when it open? Oh, we can do it tomorrow. is squid. All right, hold on. Do you know how to 
make this vodka and cranberry and um quantro? So, I need quantro. We’ve got wine here. So, we got 
red, white, and then here it’s like a barrel wine. How cool is this? I’m living the dream. This is 
obviously Ben’s first time pulling a point. He’s making a rope mess. Good. Yeah. All right. 
Are you going to make me a cocktail? Should we Google one to make? Um, Google one cuz I 
ain’t got I haven’t got a clue. I’m going to   get Ben to make me a sex on the beach. I don’t 
know if we got all the ingredients. So, vodka, peach snaps, orange, cranberry juice. Can you do 
it? Come then. Come on then. I don’t think Ben’s ever made a cocktail in his whole entire 
life. Pulled fork and I told Vodka there. I don’t know what the measurements are around. 
Did tell me on Do you not know how to pour from one of them? The other way, it is. That’s it. 
Oh, Ben, that actually looks really good. Thank you. A bit of lime as well, I think, to finish it 
off. I meant to use the tongs there. Oh, sorry. That’s actually not bad. Ain’t bad. Oh my god, that’s really nice. I’m actually 
shocked. So, I’ve made me and Ben a little selection. So, this is like just before a meal. 
I’ve done like a pulled pork wrap with like cold   salt and jalapenos. We’ve got like a chicken 
graton wedges, some cold meats, chicken graton. Graton. Graton. Go and have a look at the label. 
Do you know what that is? With cheese on top. That’s fair enough. Pickled veg, some meats 
and crackers. Shut up, Ben. Right, so let’s check out the selection. I’ve just come up here 
cuz I need another beer, but um load of salad. They actually got like some hot food around here. Did I say it right? They go chips. Chicken graten. 
Chicken graten. Well, I pulled my beer. Oh, what did you do? No, the woman come up to me. 
Come up to me with a blanket to wipe it. So, obviously I was spilling it. Thank you. Right, 
there is literally Well, that’s time over for this, but I I went out there quickly. I’ve got a 
beer and a vodka and pic. I keep getting honestly I’ve done this like three times. I keep saying 
the wrong drink. It’s a vodka. No, what is it? Pardi and Coke. Right. And Rian’s got cocktail. 
Still the same drink. Still the same drink. But I’m one for I’m I am one for en enjoying what what 
what they’re offering. No, you know you’re one for enjoying the alcohol. Yeah, but I’m just enjoying 
what they’re offering. The cool thing about this   club lounge is they’ve made it really open, which 
is one of the things I love about it. Also, all these plants are real. They’re all locally sourced 
from around this area. How cool is that? It’s like really cool in here. So, it’s not too hot, it’s 
not too cold. It’s like perfect temperature,   but like the main lobby is there. So, anyone 
walking past can actually see the club lounge. So, it kind of entices people and thinks next time I’m 
going to put that. That looks so cool. Instead of   making it like a closed dark room, which they 
normally are. I’ve never seen it in style like this where it’s like really open and you can see 
it. And I’ve I can’t believe how dead it is. Like   there’s only like two more tables with people in 
it and it’s massive as well which is quite nice. It’s not overcrowded. There’s quite a few people 
up there now. They’re changing it over. It’s now   going to like 7 to half 10 and that’s like tea, 
coffees, probably be some snacks there and like um whiskey and brings for like a night cap. But 
it’s really nice like cool five. I really like it. It’s lovely and I don’t feel uncomfortable. 
You know, me and Ben, we don’t like we don’t   really like posh places because we feel really 
awkward and uncomfortable. But here we feel really chilled, but we got the really nice like outside 
vibe. We got some music. It’s really nice. I think Ben’s getting a little bit tipsy over there cuz 
he’s getting chirpy. He’s had three beers and a   vodka since I’ve had this and two cans of beer in 
our room. I ain’t carrying you up, Ben. So, this is what the lounge like turns into evening. Let’s 
see what they have here. Oh, they got red wine in that. Is that wine? red wines. Sis wines uh turned 
into like a proper coffee counter. So you got like filtered. Oh wow. Look at this. Look. Blend it. 
That’s well cool. I think the beer’s still in the spirits. I’m not going to help blend that. But 
these are like locally sourced beans from this   area. From there. And then we’ve got like little 
nibbles. Chocolate white chip salt flavor. Oh, it just opens so you don’t have to scan to come 
out. [Laughter] All right. I think there’s a restaurant around here. We did get told all these 
things earlier, but you know what we’re like. Can you put these two cards in your pocket? Go. Yep. 
And then we need these. So, you got like vouchers for our dinner. So, there is two restaurants. We 
got the buffet one and then the fine dining one here which we booked tonight for the half 7. Don’t 
know where the buffet one is. Maybe through there.   I’m really confused. Reservation for the bottom

sure like what it includes. So, Sheba set. So, any one of these cuz this one’s like a 
lot more expensive and it’s got wager. Oh, noodles. What is it? Choose one, please. And 
noodles. Noodles. Yeah, two noodles. Yes, please. Uh, anything to drink? Drink. What? 
Uh, water, please. Both of us. It’s perfect. Thank you. Very hot. It’s fire. What? Yeah. 
It’s very hot. I said, “Yeah, it’s fire.” So, boiling this. I’m guessing we’re cooking 
our own food. Yeah, we’re doing a hot pot   sort of situation. Thank you. Ooh. Is 
that wasabi on top? Wasabi on top here. Okay. I have no idea. Pork is this one. That one. Okay then. Okay 
then. Thank you. Thank you. Wa. They’re really helping us. I saw this and I wasn’t sure 
whether it’s raw like meats put in there. So,   I thought I’d double check and ask him 
like, “Can we just eat that?” And he said, “Ye sure.” I think that’s wasabi on 
top. I’m not sure what this dish is, but we’ve got like a vinegar wasabi. No idea 
what this is, but the combo tastes delicious. It’s a bit that bit the wasabi. 
The wasabi isn’t too much, is it? It’s weird. I can’t explain it, but it’s like a 
really good combo. So, we got all these goodies   here. I’ve been told when I read this that you 
put the musa enhance aroma the seaweed into the broth and she just pointed at this and told me 
it’s that. So I’m going to put that in there. There we go. Going to be a pro at 
this. So we got all our utensils, bowls, seasonings. This is soy sauce and 
this is like a salad dressing. And we got   a pork here. It looks like bacon. Then all our 
vegges. Mushrooms for Ben Ben. More green veg. Don’t know if we’re meant to be doing this, 
but And then this not sure. Tofu. It’s to Oh, peanut tofu, I think it’s called. I think 
that’s what we’re meant to be doing. But   this is called seaweed grapes. So, 
you’re meant to just dip them in like that. Not for too long.   Oh no, I’ve lost it. And take it straight out. 
Otherwise, you lose the texture. Here you go. [Music] It tastes like seaweed. So glad you’re here today. So, we’ve literally 
demolished everything. That was really yummy.   Especially that pork when you um put it in there. 
It was really nice pork. And you really like the seaweed grapes, didn’t you? You loved them. The 
seaweed grapes were top class, mate. It was really good. Really enjoyed it. Really nice experience. 
It’s called Shaboo Shabu. Okuana Shaboo Shabi, which is like a traditional dish here. Very like 
homegrown, natural. Um, good for you. Like there’s no carbs here. So, yeah, really nice meal. I 
enjoyed it. This hotel actually uses all they’re all locally sourced. All the ingredients 
are from local farmers, local fishermen.   This is what makes this hotel really different. 
Um, very economic kind of friendly if you want to say and it it joins in with other businesses 
like everyone else is wanted to keep it local and growing instead of importing things because 
obviously that brings cost up as well. But in our situations and other than that yeah 3 minutes 
30 seconds 30 seconds. Oh okay then. Thank you. Don’t do it, Ben. Don’t do 
it. Sauce first. Sauce first. So, pour this in. I have no idea what this is. 
All right. You going to pour them in? Don’t splash them. 30 seconds. All right. Grab them. Give them 
a stir. Oh, they’re like solid. I’ve still got to run. Oh, there we go. All right, it’s been 30 
seconds. Give me a bowl and I’ll do it. [Music] I reckon this is like pork fat or something 
in there. Here’s the noodles. We got like   a bit of the broth in there. Ben’s 
digging straight in. He’s not even waiting for it. How are they? They’re 
cooking perfection. Yeah. So good. Oh my god, they’re welcome. The broth does 
make it taste better. Yeah, they got a lot a little bit of crunch to the noodles. You can 
definitely taste these are homemade noodles. All right, I’m very full. Let’s

has been amazing. You got like the kind of like in you got like the really Japanese vibes like the 
buildings. Look, this is wow. You wouldn’t imagine this inside a hotel like gang way like this. All 
right, we’ve just made it back to our room. But   look at this view. So the pool actually runs to 
9:00 here, which I’ve never known a hotel with the pool running in the evening. So all the kids are 
in there. They ain’t got to worry about the heat,   the sun, and just play. Look how beautiful it 
is. Goes all the way around there as well. I think we’ll have to go and check the pool out 
tomorrow. Good morning, guys. You know what   time it is? It’s breakfast time. So, we’ve been 
up early. We’ve been to the gym, did a workout. I’m actually doing the couch to 5k. It’s week 
one done. So, hopefully by me telling you guys, it keeps me accountable and keeps me on top of 
it. Yeah. Just got to keep reminding her. Say,   have you done that 5k run? Exactly. It’s not 5k 
run yet. Let’s get into that. But now I’m going to eat loads of food, but we said we’ll try 
and do another gym session later. Yeah. Yeah.   But I’m looking forward to this buffet. I love 
breakfast buffet is probably one of our favorite favorite things ever. I can’t wait. There’s 
also a spa facility here, a kids play area,   like a wooden one, so it’s like environmentally 
friendly, not all plastic, and also like a yoga kind of room if you want to do things like that. 
Let’s head on down. I love that there’s a bench in   it. This is so me. I love the um the one the

glass front so you can see obviously out into the distance and the uh beach and everything’s

even like it, but I’m going to get one. Put it there. Press. Oh, damn. Oh, wow. Look. What was that? To put the oranges in there. Oh, that’s nice. I don’t really like orange 
juice, but fresh orange juice is nice. Bit chilled as well. All right, so they got like the 
spam popular sandwich here, and you can make it. So, I’ve never made one of these before. So, we 
got our seaweed or rice, [Music] guessing you just spread it out. That’s it. Here’s a sample. 
What it’s got to look like. And then you put your egg and meat in there. Oh, there’s got a lot 
more rice, but I don’t want that much rice. You have got all this as well. So, you can put some in 
there. Oh, yeah. That’s a good way to do it. Yeah. Move along. Hold on. want some of these ones. 
Oh, and then we got some soy sauce. Excuse me. [Music] That ain’t bad, man. To be fair, that’s real cool. Proud of me. I love this layout though. So you can 
have a tray and you got sections so all your food don’t touch. And I’m a bit funny about that. 
This is wool. My plate. Look how nice mine is compared to bed. Ben’s is just a mess. I actually 
feel like I’ve got quite a good selection. No, I think mine is I’ve got the traditional 
stuff. You haven’t. Spam. I got some spam. You didn’t make it like me. Look a raw. I’ll 
let you have half maybe. Yeah. But I will say what a great selection of um western and 
traditional and Japanese food. It’s just pretty good. Very good. So I actually split 
my um spam roll with Ben. This is so good. I might have to go and make another one. I think I’m just so good at it. Normally I wouldn’t eat that type of stuff 
for breakfast, but it’s going down well.   And we got the tater tots, hash browns. 
Oh my god. Literally my favorite food. And then the taco. I made a taco. Guacamole, 
cheese. I wish I put some um rice in it now. So good. I think I overfilled it with sauces 
a little bit. This is I ain’t gone mad. I got   some like broccoli, scrambled egg. Just tried 
a bit of the sausage. I’m not really a massive fan of the western stuff when I’m away. I 
like to try the new stuff. There’s a nice   sausage. We got I love a coffee. Right. I’ve 
actually moved seats because my lighting was so bad and Rihanna is desperate for me 
to try her little sandwich invention.   It’s so good. I say invention. It is um 
a traditional thing. This is a yeah trai traditional from the island. We’ve actually 
tried one of these um spam come over during the the Americans bought over during the war 
actually. So it’s a it is a very traditional   thing. That’s why I’ve got a side of spam as 
well. I absolutely love spam. I grew up with spam. I’m a ‘ 90s kid. I grew up with spam. Let’s 
see if Rian’s kept the uh authentic recipe going. A soy sauce just makes it, doesn’t it? That’s 
really good. He’s really good. Then to finish it off, obviously we’ve got some more hash brown 
potato tops, waffle with caramel, chocolate, and maple syrup, glazed donut, and some cereals. 
What is these? Like chocolate bits in them. All right, we’ve had a little rest after eating. 
That killed me off that breakfast. That’s a   problem with buffets. It still ain’t gone down. 
No, we’re going to take a walk to the beach now to walk it off a bit. So, this is the room that we 
showed you yesterday of like all the help yourself   kind of thing. And I’ve just seen facial foam and 
cleansing gel. So, I’m going to take some of them for my room. And we got lotions, milky lotions. 
That could be quite good for your legs actually. Fresh. Oh, going to take one of them for my legs. 
It’s going to be hot. Oh, I forgot how hot it was. Oh, the heat. Oh, wow. There’s bikes. How cool 
are these bikes are? They’re like motorbikes. We’re going to walk though. We need to walk our 
dinner off uh that way. That’s the way we came up yesterday. I love how this hotel is where it’s off 
the beach a little bit. It’s a little bit in the in the jungle sort of vibe. So, obviously look 
around green wherever you can see. It’s really like unique to be um just tucked away here. makes 
you feel like more more of a private sen. I really really like it. And the beach is literally 10 
minutes away. So, best of both worlds. We aren’t really beach people, so we’re actually not that 
fast. Pool, massive pool, swim at bar. Perfect. I think it’s got that. We’ll check that out after 
the beach. You’re telling me? God knows. Let’s go. First of all, check the beach out. We’ve actually 
got these. These come with our club lounge. So, it is parasol chairs for free and they also give 
you towels and that so we can get them if you want to sit down there. Well, that hike down to the 
beach was a lot better than the hike up yesterday   with our backpacks and bag. We were literally the 
sweatiest mess you ever seen when we turned up at that hotel. God knows what they thought of us. 
But that was actually really nice. But my arm   feels like it’s on fire. I put suntan lotion on. 
But you forget how hot it is cuz you’re inside in the AC the whole time. Yeah, I know. It’s um so 
hot. This part of Japan is That’s the red bus. Okuana esh port shuttle. I think that’s the one we 
got to get to the airport. We’ll check that out on the way back then. Yeah, we need to book it. Yeah, 
we need um a bus to the airport tomorrow. Um you can get a shuttle to and from the bus for free 
from our hotel, but we needed to walk anyway. I think it’s over here. So, I got this drink from 
Lawson. I was going to say 7-Eleven then. Um, I’m feeling a bit under the weather, so I’m 
hoping this will give me like a bit of energy   boost. But this is the beach we’re going to carry 
beach. Don’t know if I meant to go in there, Ben. So, it says our hotel name there. So, 
we must be able to just go and use the beach. Where’s he gone? I think if you’re not part 
of like a hotel or anything, it cost you. So, it’s all like 1,200. There’s signs 
here. So it might say like look at   area for our hotel. Ben, them signs say 
anything about our hotel. What signs? [Music] No. No. Go over there. Yes. 
How nice is this beautiful? Oh, look at that. That is very tropical. White 
sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea. Living the dream. Test out the water. We’re not 
a fan of beach and we’d rather spend our   time around the pool. But this water is 
beautiful. It’s like perfect temperature. It’s so clear as well. You can see the bottom. 
Give me the camera so I can show it. Ben’s not coming in cuz he can’t be bothered to take off 
his trainers and socks. I can’t be bothered. Look,   who doesn’t travel with sandals? I 
can’t be bothered with the sand, man. Look at this. This is beautiful. I hope there’s 
no sea urchins in there. I’m guessing that’s why that’s bordered off. They look clean of 
the sea urchins and that. And I’ve heard   there’s sharks in the water around here. So, 
I’m guessing that’s what this is all for, to keep it clear for people to come in. You can’t 
actually swim out that far. And I actually like   to like get out there, but I think we’re going 
to go back up to the pool. But this water is, if you love your beaches, this is beautiful. 
And there’s also like a water kind of kiddies thing if you’re into that. Water sports, you 
can pay extra for that. And I think there’s   like a glass boat you can go out in the water. 
Um drag and [ __ ] Look, there’s water sports, you know, it’s like everywhere you can do them. 
Pay the extra. There’s loads of sun lounges.   It’s quite quiet. Look at Ben. He wants to go 
to the pool. Let’s head back up to the pool. But this is beautiful. Oh, feel that sun on me 
though. where it’s like cloudy in the breeze, you’re not known. You’re going to turn to 
crisp. Straight away, we’ve got a water slide. Wow, look at that for a pool. It’s a 
great big pool. Oh, this is heaven. Go find. It’s not even that busy. There’s 
like four people in the pool. Yeah,   it is. It’s quiet, isn’t it? So this 
is now4 to 1 in the evening and you normally if you come to a pool the pool 
sunbeds are full. We’re going to get some. So this pool look goes all the way. Should we 
keep going around? Uh put your towels there.   Drinks there. We’ll just go around, shall we? 
Well, that’s mine now. Reserved. Reserved at quart to 1 in the evening. Who? Like, right, I’ve 
got a bone to pick with this woman here. Yeah. Who says4 to 1 in the evening? Who says that? Who 
says that? It’s quart to 1 in the afternoon. Oh, maybe if there’s sunbeds here, I’m 
moving here cuz this is the swim up bar. Oh,   yeah. That swim up bar there. 
This looks like the best pool. Kito, everyone is literally so nice, 
proper friendly. A takeaway menu. So, you can scan that, pay your credit card, and 
get some food delivered to your sun lounger. Cool. So, got a jacuzzi. We’ve also got like a little 
seating area under the shade if you want to get   out the sun. The swim up bar. did read that 
that is um depending on how busy it is. So, it’s seasonal. I don’t know if it’s busy time 
of the year yet. Oh, wow. How much is that? This pool’s massive. So, we can only see a fraction of 
it from our hotel room there. We couldn’t see all   this going around there. Yeah. It’s actually 
like like a little water park along here. So, you got three different pools, a water slide, got 
bar. Tell you what, that makes a difference. You actually get Wi-Fi right by the pool. So, yeah, 
that’s actually sweet. Well, we’ve just been for a lovely swim. That was so nice. I was such a sweaty 
mess. I didn’t realize how wet I was until I like stopped for a minute. But look at this beautiful 
pool. It’s Oh, stunning. This weather’s lovely. It’s just got the perfect like tropical vibe. 
Right. So, I’ve got a bit of a dilemma. not a dilemma, but a a little bit of a dispute with the 
uh the wife. And she said that I got too drunk yesterday and it’s not fair. And we’re supposed 
to Everyone watch that video. How drunk was he? Come on. Yeah. Well, to be fair, same video. 
Yeah. To be fair, I did get a little bit drunk, but the point of it is to enjoy the experience 
and let your hair down a little bit. And um I I I have said to her I won’t I won’t drink tonight, 
but maybe I will. What are you doing? Maybe I will. No, you never even said you won’t drink. I 
just said I weren’t drinking. Oh, okay. Yeah. So, we just had like our second shower of the day. 
After the pool, we went and did another gym   workout cuz we’re eating so much. And I didn’t get 
time to do weights earlier on cuz we didn’t want to miss the breakfast buffet. But I’ve just put my 
laundry on. I’m just going to put it in the tumble   dryer now. I’ve just got a few whites and like 
Ben’s top was stained so I’m hoping that came out. But the idiot me earlier on I’ll come in there and 
I’ll put it in here and put it on. I’ll come back   to change it to the washing machine. It’s a bloody 
tumble dryer. So I tumble dried it before I washed it. Be fair. I don’t actually know why I’m here. 
Why am I here? Cuz then we’re going to the lounge. Am I Am I supposed to be helping you? Oh, I didn’t 
bring the cash down to Oh, go back to our room. Go and get my purse. Yeah. It’s on the bed. Yeah. So, 
we need money for this. So, the washing machine is 500 and then tumble dryer is 200. And I’ve left my 
money upstairs. So, he’s run up to get it. And you can also like lock them. You can put like a code 
in and lock them. So, it’s pretty cool. Also on   this floor, you’ve got the Why you still here? 
Are you waiting for lift? Also on this floor, we’ve got the inside pool, the outside pool. 
There’s lockers to put all your stuff in. And they   also give you towels when you um table your card. 
So pretty cool. I actually never noticed upstairs. Oh wow. We’re actually going this way though. This 
way. Club round is around here. So we just need to check a few things. We need to sort out getting 
a bus back into Naha tomorrow to get a flight. Ben’s got to sort out that. Um but we’re going to 
go in lunch. We’re going to go in the club lounge now cuz I think it’s afternoon tea now. So, some 
sandwiches and cakes probably feel so important doing this. All right, let’s find someone 
comfortable. There’s no one in here. Literally none. People are probably outside enjoying the 
sun. Unlike us, I can see a donut stand over here. I think it’ll be a good seat. Dumper stuff here. 
Is it? I know. It’s normal, isn’t it? We got like corn dogs, bacon and paprika kiche, donuts. What 
is this? Pancakes. Pancakes. All these toppings. Mixed sandwiches. Chocolate buns. Marshmallows. 
Chocolate. There’s a white chocolate fondue. Oh my god. And all these cakes. Coffee. Proper filtered 
coffee. I hope it’s not beer. Oh my god, there’s beer. Don’t tell Ben. It’s literally beer. Right, 
I’ve been all over here cuz um apparently there’s a pancake maker and Rian’s like obviously obsessed 
with it. Fondue. So, we’re going to do some of them, but she’s just topping up the pancake maker. 
But there’s loads of like look afternoon tea, sweets, wraps. Let’s do one of these then. Yeah, 
this is constant. And Rian just informed me that the beer was running all night last night. I 
did say to the camera, I said, “I ain’t going   to tell Ben.” Yeah. When I come up here, I was 
like, “Oh, no.” All right. So, we’re going to get a donut. Donut. So, these are Okawana donuts. 
Did you just throw it in there? Yeah. Oh my god. Look at that. Go and try it. Oh, really good. White chocolate. Good donut. 
Quite dry. Needs more white chocolate. Oh, that was nice, though. All right. It’s our 
favorite time of the day, dinner time. So,   here you have to book your dinner each evening. 
Um, so we booked half 7 for the buffet. So, you know, it’s not going to be too overcrowded 
there. But yesterday, you saw us have like the   traditional meal with like the hot pot and all 
that. But tonight we get to use the buffet. We We like the buffet, but then you overeat. That’s 
the only problem. Oh. Oh, thank you. All right, buffet and grill. I’m looking forward to seeing 
what dinner’s like. So, this is the perks of   um like booking the table. Like, it’s not over 
busy. Yeah. Uh yeah. May I have your uh 143? Thank you. Thank you. All right. So, you can 
just book this. to have like a happy hour. I think that’s unlimited drinks. Unlimited drink 
2,500. That’s good. And then there’s a drink menu,   but we’ve obviously got the club lounge. So, 
we’re like, “No, we’re all right.” And then we got free drinks over there. Obviously, like 
non-alcoholic. There’s a buffet. Should we have a   look around? So, let’s see what there is. So, here 
noodles. Guess you do it yourself. Noodles. Oh, boneless ribs. It’s heavy. Oh my god, that 
looks good. That’s the traditional noodles. I think I’m going to have that. Oh my god. Is 
that lobster? This is a paid area, but it’s lobster. We got chicken, tomato, gratan, a pasta, 
grilled lamb, tuskcin. Oh wow, that looks Oh, nice. Seafood. I won’t see you. Spicy fried 
noodles. You like that, didn’t you? Little giggle from you. Seafoody food. Uh, what’s this? Tofu. 
I don’t know why I said it. It just looked weird. Grilled beef. Can get a bit steak? Yeah, 
steak. Yeah. Oh, wow. You going to order one? I’m not fussed about steak. And then over 
here, temporal chicken balls. Prawns. Look at him like cooking some bits over there. And then 
here, prawn crackers. Chicken. I don’t even know how you pronounce that. That’s probably chicken 
and rice in there. Some pork belly pizza. Oh, wow. This is pretty good. What are they? Oh, 
steamed buns. Steamed buns. Literally says it there. Oh, this is a beef curry. I have 
to try this. Oh, it’s got like naan bread. So, what was the sides? Like um mango chutney, 
naan bread, vegan chickpea curry. That’s a bit of you then. Oh my god, this looks so good. Where’s 
the dessert? I haven’t seen a dessert table. Ah, desserts. Oh, macadam macaroons cakes. Look 
how fancy these are. Jellies. I always go straight to the dessert. Also, there’s ice cream 
there. There was ice cream there at breakfast.   And then this is all salad. All right, we’ve 
showed you all the food. We’re going to now get a plate of everything to try. One. One. 
Yeah. Oh, look at that. Oh, wow. The skills. [Music]   That looks like a good steak. Does Thank you. Wow. 
Yeah. Pink on the inside. Perfect. Am I going to regret not getting those steak? That looks unreal. 
Absolutely incredible. I literally couldn’t wait as soon as we got it. Come over and taste it. 
But like I say, look at the pink there. Looks good. Absolutely unreal. A buffet with steak. Oh 
man. Is it good? Literally just falls apart. I wonder if it’s wagoo. Could be. Beef. Yeah. Yeah. 
Similar. Yeah. A beef. Yeah. Really good. All right. I’m going to make my own noodles. What you 
think? About that much. I’m guessing it’s like 30 seconds. That’s what we did yesterday, didn’t 
we? Yeah. Go for it. 30 seconds in there. You counting? One, two, 30 seconds. Not yet. It’s more 
like 15 seconds. Did you do that? I think like that. Yeah. You don’t want to get the noodle 
water, do you? Noodles. Yeah. Noodle soup. M noodle soup. Which way? Should you cover it? Yeah. 
Oh, this is so exciting. And then exciting. Oh, look at this. It’s like pork belly. Bored 
own meal. You mean that’s There we go. Yeah. I like this that you get involved in 
cooking your own meal. Get involved.   Yeah. I’ve never had this before. Oh, you 
got to have some the reddish and ginger. Spring onions and then radishes. No, it says 
fish paste. Oh, no. That’s fish paste. What do you think this is? That’s radish. 
I think no, I think that’s fish paste. And voila, I’ve made my own traditional 
noodles from Okuara. I’ll try them in a minute. These are probably going to be the best 
noodles I’ve ever had cuz I did them. [Music] I want to get Oh my god, it’s so good. This pork literally melts in your mouth. These are so 
good. And you can just go up and help yourself and make as many as you want. All right, we’re 
officially full. We’re done. Thank you. Bye. Goodbye. Byebye. Oh, that was a okay buffet. I’m 
not going to say it’s like one of my favorites. The best thing was the steak and the noodles 
and the curry. And the curry. Ben loved the   beef curry. But other than that, everything 
was a bit basic. So, I really enjoyed it. But breakfast is definitely the one to have if you 
choose out of breakfast and dinner. All right,   we’re back at our room. We need to do a bit 
of packing. Actually, it’s main light on. Oh, there. We need to do a bit of packing so 
we’re not rushing around in the morning. I’m looking for forward to getting this bed. 
It’s the most comfortable bed in the world. Um,   Ben’s already got his beer out. Well, I only 
drunk half of it and we had to go for dinner, so it’s still got a bit of fizz in it. Well, I’m 
going to put Grace and Abby on, get my jammies on, and go to bed and rub some cream on both of us cuz 
we are burnt. Look at Ben’s belly. Show us your belly. Oh, okay. Oh my god, that looks even worse. 
Well, that is well red. Beautiful day today, but you got to be careful. You got to be careful. 
I know. We were only out there for a few hours,   weren’t we? Only a few hours. All right, see you 
in the morning. Morning. Today is a terrible day. Unfortunately, we’re checking out of our beautiful 
hotel room. I’m so sad. I’m going to miss it. But today is actually a wet, don’t know if it’s 
cold, a wet, rainy day. We’ve had lightning, thunderstorms all morning, but we’re just going 
downstairs to check out. Um, they said they’ll get   us a shuttle to take us down to the bus stop, 
which I’m really glad they sorted yesterday. Otherwise, we’d be walking in the rain down that 
hill and it would not be fun. forget how beautiful this is until we come downstairs. Should have 
gone to the club lounge before we checked out. Oh, I didn’t I forgot we had that. I’m just going to 
go to the little I say shop, but everything’s free and grab a hair band from it. So, I didn’t leave 
a hair band out. I’ll just leave my hair to draw   and it’s gone all fluffy. Haven’t straightened or 
anything, so I look scruffy. Let’s grab grab two. I might do two plats. Oh, I love this place. going 
to miss it so much. Hello. Uh, check out uh 143. Okay, we’re getting the the shuttle down to the Okay, that’s all I can see. Okay, that’s all. 
All right, thank you. Thank you. All right, she’s sorting us out. transport to get down to the 
bottom to our bus, but they do do a bus from here, but only runs two times a day, and we would 
have had to leave at 10:00. Our float’s not   till 4:00. And I was like, “Oh, is there any 
other way?” And she said, “There’s the red bus down below that has more times.” And I think it’s 
11:00, so we’ve got 15 minutes to get down there. That’s more than enough time. It takes about 2 
hours. I think the one from here is less time,   but we’ll see. I’m not sure how how much it 
is, though. I’ve only got 4,000 yen left and I’m hoping it’s enough. We’ll soon find 
out. Beach bus stop. Yes. Yes. Thank you. So, I think this is like the free 
shuttle to the beach normally.   I think that’s what we’re jumping 
on. Oh, smells like fruit out here. [Music] Only Ben wouldn’t collapse the suitcase to get 
on. He’s in it. Oh, she’s going to drive us. Yeah. Thank you very much for that. Thank you.

Lift straight to the red bus. Don’t have to get wet at all. It’s all good, isn’t 
it? What’s that? Just giving us a lift. I know. It’s perfect. Look, just the personal staff 
driving us down. So, if you want to stay at   this hotel, I think the red bus shuttle will be 
your best choice. It’s got a lot more time. Let me go and I’ll go and look at the time. I’ll go

straight here. And I’d highly recommend it. It’s beautiful. Instead of everyone I bet flies into 
Naha and just stays there, come out to the island further up cuz you get more tropical, you get more 
greenery, and you get the better weather. Well,   except for today. But yesterday was 
amazing weather. Beautiful white sand, blue beach. This is so different to the other 
end of the uh the island. This beautiful, really tropical. I can see why it’s gets it reputation of 
being the Hawaii of Japan. Oh, he’s got a ticket. You on? Yeah. Good. Airport. Airport. Oh, look. So, I’m not to pay my card,000. 4,000. 3,600. It’s all a bargain. Just Just 
enough money. 400. That’s brilliant. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. How long does the bus take? Bus 
take uh time airport. Airport. Uh half one. Yeah, this. Okay. Brilliant. Thank you. 2 hours. While 
we’re on the way to airport, we thought we’d just summarize our stay at Orientto Hotel Auana Resort 
in Spa and tell you like what we honest opinion and what we thought about it. So, um yeah, I 
thought it was great. Uh they really really looked after us. The honestly the hotel room has 
got the best view I’ve ever had since I’ve stayed in a hotel room is amazing. And obviously every 
room has a ocean view. So you’re going to get a similar view wherever you stay. One of the thing 
is kids are there. So me and Ben at first were a bit like is it going to be like a familyfriendly 
holiday with kids splashing around being annoying? Not at all. Like we didn’t even notice the kids 
when we did. They were smiling in the lift and   going hello. Like it was really nice. Like 
we wouldn’t even notice them. So it’s family friendly and couple friendly. I would highly say 
especially where you have a mini bar and your club   room. Like come on. That is amazing. It’s good for 
everyone. They literally feel of everything. The the free room where you can get your soaps, teas, 
anything. That is one of the best features I’ve   ever seen in a hotel. And the food was outstanding 
as well. We’ve tasted some delicious dishes, traditional ones. And as we said, it’s all locally 
sourced. So, we know it’s all good for you. Yeah, it’s a testament. And also people that 
are looking for somewhere different,   not convention, not like, oh, I’m going to Hawaii 
or I’m going to these conventional places. Uh, this island is so underrated. Like, of 
so affordable. And affordable. Yeah. It’s really it’s really it gives Hawaii its run 
for its money because it’s a is a definitely a dark horse. This could be the next big thing 
this holiday resort. Yeah, it could be. We’ve got about 2 hours on this bus and then we’re 
checking for a flight. We’ve got like a long   travel day. It’s going to take us like 2 days. 
We’re stopping in Shanghai for like 20 hours, which you know us, we love China. So, I’m 
looking forward to that. But other than that,   I think that’s it for us. Um, hope you enjoyed
