Thank you for watching my videos. This is my first travel video in a while . On my last trip, I went to Anda Resort Izu Kogen in East Izu, but this time my destination is South Izu. I actually went on the trip in March, so the seasons are a little off, but I made this video so that it can be used as reference for your trips. This video is divided into two parts. In the first half, I show you the guest rooms and the interior of the inn and the scenery around the inn, and in the second half, I show you dinner and breakfast, and the shops I stopped by on the way home, so I hope you will watch both parts until the end. By the way, this is around Shirahama in Shimoda, and the sea is so beautiful. I’ve been wanting to swim in the sea this year, but I never manage to go. If I can get a reservation at a ryokan around summer, I’d like to go and enjoy swimming in the sea together. While we were talking about this, we entered South Izu. I sometimes go to Shimoda, but I don’t often go to South Izu. I’m looking forward to it. And although I’ve seen it in videos and on social media, this is my first time on a Japanese beach. Yumigahama Beach was also selected as one of the 100 best beaches. I would like to come back for another walk later and have arrived at our destination. If you walk about 500m down the street in front of Yumigahama Beach and come to a curve, you will see a large building. This is Minamiizu Yumigahama Onsen Tokiichiyu, located in Minato, Minamiizu-cho, Kamo-gun. Check-in time is from 3pm to 9pm, and check-out is at 11am. It’s nice to be able to take your time at check-out time at 11am. There is a parking lot right in front of the building, and a staff member will come to collect your luggage when you arrive. Now, let’s get going! Thank you for your patronage . The concept of Tokiichiyu is a secret base for adults, located at the end of Minamiizu. Only those who have made it there can see the lights, the sea, sand, and the greenery of nature. Once you step inside, it’s a healing space that will free your mind. I’ll be looking around a lot from now on, but the excitement of coming to a new place always feels fresh and nice. When you enter the lobby from the entrance, the building has an open atrium, so it feels very open. Now, I’d like to finish the reception . One of the things I’m looking forward to when the receptionist explains the building is this . There are various services depending on the time in various locations. In the lounge on the second floor, you can drink beer before dinner, and even sake after dinner . At this point, you’ll feel like the festival has started (lol). Also, if you have any additional orders for dinner, you should let them know now or by 5:30 pm, but this time I’d like to stick with the meal I reserved in advance. Now that the reception is complete, I’ll head to my room. The room I reserved is at the back of the third floor, so I’ll walk quite a bit and arrive! The nameplate is different from the other rooms and looks a little more impressive. Let’s go in. When you open it, it doesn’t immediately feel like a room. The toilet is at the back on the left. Behind this is the toilet. The closet is on the right and the room is on the left. The guest room I booked this time was renovated in December 2020 and is very beautiful. This room is filled with the desire to spend an elegant time while feeling the nature of Yumigahama. The guest room was designed to let you enjoy your holiday in southern Izu by soaking in the open-air bath filled with hot spring water. Next , I went out to the balcony to look outside. There is a large sofa on the balcony where you can relax comfortably. Also, since the sea is right in front of me, the sound of the powerful waves is very soothing. At first, the pine forest seemed a bit of a nuisance, but the sea that can be seen through the gap is surprisingly not bad. And best of all, once the pine forest is gone, the open-air bath right next to it becomes completely visible from the other side. I returned to the room again and will look inside the room. There are chairs and a table, a large sofa bed, a semi-double twin bed, an air purifier with humidification function, a 60-inch LCD TV , and In the drawer under the TV there is a small safe, an electric kettle, and a Nestle coffee machine. In that drawer there are coffee and tea cups and stylish teacups. Also in the refrigerator there is complimentary water, carrot juice, and chilled glasses. Above the electric kettle there is a sliding door, and I was curious what it was, so I opened it and…there was an open-air bath . So I decided to go and see the open-air bath. When I opened it, there was a dressing room and on the right was a walk-in closet. In the dressing room there were two sinks, and in front of the open-air bath there was a shower and other place to wash yourself. And this is the open-air hot spring bath in the guest room. It is a very liberating and wonderful space, isn’t it? Gazing out at the sea visible through the pine forest, soothed by the sound of the waves, it is the best to relax in the hot spring♪ I think this is the first time I have stayed in a room with an open-air bath, even though there is a bath in the guest room, but this kind of luxury is nice once in a while. The room is clean and the facilities are also great. Speaking of which, This hand soap had a really nice scent, I’m considering getting one at home too. There were many other things that looked good, and it was an extraordinary experience. Also, the hair dryer was a bit difficult to use. These days, hair dryers, or rather high-end hair dryers, are quite complicated. There were also amenities in the sink drawer. The bathroom was very clean, and although it may be commonplace nowadays, it had a washlet. Also, there was a summary of the guest room information. Drinks, in-house wear, and amenities were like this. There was also a Bluetooth speaker. Also, please note that the rooms with open-air hot spring baths, Executive Twin, Shikari and Yoko no Itsuki, are 66 m2 and cannot be used by children under 12 years old. Now, let’s go to the fun part. I got in the elevator. The third floor is the dining area and the guest rooms. The second floor is the front desk, lobby, lounge, and party room. The first floor is the bath, banquet hall, restaurant, and ramen shop, but I guess the real fun is the lounge on the second floor. I was really looking forward to going there from the moment I saw the photo of the room. lol So, we arrived at the lounge. It was a very spacious space. The view is also nice. Next, we’ll introduce the drinks. From the right, there is coffee, tea, hot water, black bean tea, iced coffee, water, pineapple juice , and for your enjoyment, there is beer. There are also nuts as light snacks and Japanese sweets sold at the shop. So, I’d like to start with the beer. There is surprisingly little… but it’s not a problem if you drink it a few times♪ If you line it up with a snack set with nuts and other snacks, it looks like this. Then I immediately went for a refill. I would like to drink enough to make up for the cost of the accommodation, but if I get too full, it will affect dinner, so I’ll go look at other places. For now, I’ll start with the souvenir corner in front of me. I guess it’s strange that when you go on a trip, you get excited and end up buying things that are a little expensive or that you don’t usually eat, even though you don’t really like them. In the end, I ended up mainly buying souvenirs for myself, not for others. Well , it’s only once in a while, so that’s fine♪ Next is the game corner behind the souvenir corner . It feels like a typical light game corner. Don’t you have a strong image that you can’t win anything in the UFO catchers at places like this? Even though I know I won’t be able to get it, I feel like trying it for some reason, as if I’m trying my luck, so I’ll give it a try! I aim at this provocative one in the middle, as if it’s telling me to aim at it. The angle and position are both perfect ♪ Let’s get started! I don’t even have to lift it, I just trace it and it’s over. Well, I knew it would happen (I’m being stubborn). I wanted it to look a little better. It doesn’t look like I’ll be lifting it, so I’ll finish the game corner at 100 yen! I also want to take some pictures of the outside before it gets dark, so I’m going to go see Yumigahama Beach while I can. The sun sets in the mountains, so it doesn’t seem like it will sink into the sea in southern Izu at this time of year. Is this Kawazu cherry blossom? Green and pink, the moon in the blue sky It was so romantic that I couldn’t help but take a picture. Then, while I was out for a walk, I walked to the front of the Yumigahama Beach sign. It ‘s a nice place, isn’t it? Even if you come here to swim in the summer, the water is shallow and the waves are calm, so it seems to be a popular beach for families. By the way , I walked while enjoying the scenery to take a picture of the Yumigahama Beach sign, but I think the location of Tokiichiyuu is… The actual distance around there is about 500m, but it felt like I walked about 2km. I was completely sober (lol). There was also a sign for the islands that can be seen from Yumigahama. Compared to the actual distance, it looks pretty clear, doesn’t it? When I went back, instead of the current road, I walked one block inward and there were quite a few guesthouses. There was also an izakaya or set meal restaurant, and I’m sure it would be very busy in the summer. I’m so jealous that you go for a swim and stay overnight . If you continue along this road, you will find the fishing port behind Tokiichiyuu, where you can enjoy another view. And then I returned. In the end, I think it was a nice walk that even got me drunk. Since I was there, I wanted to go see the large public bath before dinner. We arrived on the first floor. Follow the signs and you’ll find the entrance to the bath. There’s a massage chair at the back left when you enter. There’s a large bath at the back, but just in front of it is a private family bath. I asked a staff member, “Can I use the family bath by myself?” and he said, “Yes,” so I decided to take him up on his offer and go in. Inside the family bath, there is a sink in the dressing room, and there are hair dryers, combs, cotton swabs, etc. It’s also very nice to have a restroom inside the family bath . Now let’s go to the bathroom. There are two places to wash your body, and the shampoo and treatment provided are the horse oil type that you often see in other inns. And just behind the washing area is the bath. As it is a family bath, it is quite large. The temperature of the water was also great, but if you stay in a room with an open-air bath, you might want to go to the large bath if you want to take a sauna bath or take a leisurely bath in a large bath while looking at the garden. In the case of this family, the open-air bath in the room left a better impression overall, not only in terms of the atmosphere, but also the shampoo, treatment, hair dryer, and amenities provided. After leaving the bath, it’s time for dinner. The place to eat is on the third floor, but this time, the place to eat is different, so from the first floor where the bath was, take the elevator to the third floor, move to the annex from the connecting corridor, and take the elevator down to the first floor where the restaurant is. The place to eat is here [Izu Mido Shun no Arika]. When I entered, an employee came from the back and said, “You are Mr. XX, staying with three people.” I thought, “How did you know? Are you a psychic!?”, but the meal time is decided in advance, so it’s only natural that you would know (lol). Then, I was shown to a room with a nice Japanese-modern atmosphere and ate, but this video is the end. Next time, we will start with dinner, so I hope you will watch the next video. So, let’s meet again in the next video. Thank you for watching until the end this time as well ♪ [Music] Please subscribe to the channel and rate it highly ♪
