Do Not Fall For These Tourist Traps In Japan #japan

Do not fall for these tourist traps in Japan. Firstly is ordering from the English menu instead of the Japanese menu. I know you want that English menu. You’re hungry and you don’t understand Japanese, but then you realize you just paid 2,200 yen for a mid-ass ramen in a restaurant full of tourists. To avoid this trap, be sure to ask for the Japanese menu by saying no and then whip out Google Translate. Number two is staying at a capture hotel in Tokyo. Google images makes capture hotels look like a cool futuristic Japanese experience, but in reality it’s 10,000 yen to sleep in a tiny ass pod. Instead, you got to stay at Kai Kata Club Internet Cafe. It’s way better and it’s just 2,400 yen a night. Thirdly is shopping at Takashida Street in Harajuku. It sounds like a great idea until you realize you spend over 30,000 yen. Instead, take your hard-earned money to Amayyoko Market. It’s cheaper and you’ll get way more value.
