Shibuya Go Kart π Japan Tokyo Walking Tour β¬

Shibuya says, “No more go-karts.” Do you think driving go-kart is so cool in Tokyo? No, it’s not. Do you think Japanese local like go-kart in Tokyo? No, they don’t. Do you think it is not problematic? No, it’s not. Tourists can rent go-karts and have operators guide them through an on- street tour of part of major city, Shibuya, Tokyo Tower. Well, you can drive, but you can’t throw tortoise shells out. These companies have been controversial. One company needed change its name after a series of lawsuits from Nintendo. Residents of Japan hate them because they are loud, ugly, but the biggest concern is safety. Tourists without any valid international drivers permit can rent the cart from some of these companies. It also caused many accidents on the road. Recently, local officials in Shabuya are finally asking go-kart tour operators to register voluntarily with the ward because of the rising complaints about noise and risky driving behavior. While there are no penalties yet, the ward will publish operators who do not comply. This move is certainly another step to improve Shibuya.

Me and a fellow tourist bonded by cringing at those go kart ppl
I have reservations for this weekend to Mario it up. Watch out everybody
I'm surprised they allowed it in the first place.
Who caresππ
Do not comply itβs how freedoms start to end
Idk why put your life at risk for a gokart in the street when theres bullet trains and taxis
Sounds like more of an operator problem to be honest, maybe they should stop trading or stop renting to tourists.
Itβs childish and stupid for adults to even think of doing this is a major city. Total disrespect to the locals
Didn't even know that was a thing. If it had been any other YouTube short I might have thought it was pretty cool. As a tourist, or even a potential tourist, maybe we should ask how our choices affect the locals of a country or area.
You've certainly made me think.
