[Heavy Rain trip] 1000km Camper Van Journey to Kyushu | Stealth Camping
Subtitles will be displayed here. Kyushu trip. This is a long holiday, so I think this is the first time since I started riding this Von-chan (nickname for the camper van)… I’ve never gone on such a long distance. It’s the longest day in the channel’s history , and it’s the first time I’ve seen a one-way distance of 1,000km… Even though it’s 1,000km, it’s still just the beginning, but I’m going to head towards “Kyushu” from now on! I’m heading to Kyushu after two years of not being able to go , and this time I’m heading for Kyushu on a trip of about 10 days! In fact, I’m going to drive until today and tomorrow, enter Kyushu , and then the day after tomorrow, I’m going to go sightseeing from Fukuoka. However, since the schedule is limited… this time I’d like to visit the four prefectures of Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto. As for the remaining Kagoshima, Oita, and Miyazaki, I think I’ll go again next time. I’m already stuck in traffic and there are 994km left, but first of all, as the first point (halfway point), Kobe Himeji, that area of Hyogo Prefecture is the halfway point, so I think I’ll aim for that today. I stayed in the car at the SA before and after that, and drove towards Kyushu again the next morning. There was a little bit of traffic in Kanagawa Prefecture, but after that there was no traffic and it seemed to flow smoothly. It seems that the number of cars started to increase around here . It’s 18:01 now, and it’s time for traffic to gradually get congested, so I’ll drive carefully. I was driving on the Shin-Tomei Expressway, but maybe it was related to an accident? For some reason I’ve been on the Tomei Expressway . I’ve been coming around here a lot recently. Okazaki is starting to feel close, but… What’s scary is that when I look at the navigation, I still have 750km to go. A fact I don’t want to know. For now, I’ll do my best to head towards Ise Bay and Mie. Finally, Kariya PA , 713km left. For now, I’ll go as far as I can today. I want to get to 500km somehow today! Right now, I’ve just passed Nagoya Port and am driving on the Isewan Expressway. I’m almost in Mie Prefecture. It’s pretty windy here, but the car is so tall that it can’t be helped. Is this the benefit of the double tires? To be honest , this is my first Camroad-based car, so I can’t really say anything, but I think it’s definitely less affected by the wind compared to the Snorlax (Bongo). I think I can drive at this speed if I hold the steering wheel firmly. Driving slowly and safely is the best . Von-chan is also eating in the crowded area . If you know this tunnel, you’ll know that it’s the tunnel that marks the border between “Mie” and “Shiga”! I can see the Shiga/Mie Tsuchiyama SA, so I’ll keep going. I’ve only come this far and done 600km… My buddy has a full tank of fuel. I drove 440km and filled it up with 45L… so it’s almost 10 per liter! Amazing! It’s diesel, but it’s about 140km from here to Hyogo, where the conditions were good and it was almost 10km/L. But it’s much closer than before? From here, I think Kyoto will be the next stop, then Hyogo? Or Osaka → Hyogo? Before I knew it, I was in Kyoto lol. I got through Kyoto earlier than I expected. After this Kyoto IC east, south? After one parking lot, Takatsuki JCT is written, so maybe… Kyoto → Osaka? Updating the first west side Kyoto and Osaka are close. Shiga → Kyoto is close after all lol I made it to Osaka safely Surprisingly , the transition from Mie to the next prefecture is fast, so I wonder if it will be Mie → Shiga → Kyoto → Osaka → Hyogo? It feels like I came all at once lol The atmosphere is different and the night view is beautiful! Where does Hyogo start from here? I can’t see the Hyogo Prefecture mark. This is my first time seeing the Tower of the Sun. This area is apparently the Expo area! Nishinomiya in Hyogo Prefecture. (Nishinomiya) Hmm? It’s Hyogo Prefecture, right? ? On Google Maps, Nishinomiya is in the frame for Hyogo Prefecture, so isn’t that right? Nishinomiya SA is next, so I think I’m already in Hyogo Prefecture. After this, I’m thinking of taking a nap at the SA around Kobe. When I left, I had about 1,000km, but before I knew it, I only had about 520km left. I underestimated my driving… Now I’m only 510m away from “Ogawa PA”, so I’m going to eat a meal here and take a nap! Honestly, if you ask me if I’m tired or not… I can still drive. I took a rest at Ogawa PA, where I felt the difference in my base, and arrived safely! I’m still in Hyogo, but I’ve had this fan for the first time in a while . I’ve had it since Snorlax, and it swings its head and can be charged with USB, so it’s really convenient! The shade is also nice. U-chan, what will be your favorite U-chan’s favorite today? ! McDonald’s! Sushi! The one who says it after seeing it lol I bought three servings, but when I asked them to divide it into three, they divided it for me. If it’s this size, it will fit in the fridge easily! Ah! Everyone, this is the plate lol No more washing dishes U-chan’s plate is the same lol We have a lot of Hama Sushi in our house! We went to Hama Sushi at our previous house, and we go to conveyor belt sushi quite often at our current house too. Conveyor belt sushi is child-friendly . What kind of conveyor belt sushi do you prefer? Papa! If so, do you like it? I’m waiting for your comments. Let’s eat! Conveyor belt sushi is delicious! It’s amazing that they can offer it at this price. The company’s efforts are incredible. Hey, we’re only half way there. We’re only half way here (Hyogo). What I found surprisingly is that if I want to do the Kansai edition, I can get to Hyogo in one day , so for example, it’s not impossible to play in Hyogo for three days and then come back. Papa, who has found the problem , can keep running, but it’s difficult to find the right timing to feed U-chan, just by putting something in between on the way. What kind of T-shirt is today? Take a quiz to guess! 1. Crybaby 2. Drooling 3. Runny nose Which one is it! 3. Penguin runny nose! ! The correct answer was crybaby lol U-chan, what’s that? He’s drooling! Just like mama!! What’s the same? He looks like mama, lol. U-sama is amazing! I’m at my physical limit now, so papa is in the middle of setting up the bunk bed lol. There’s one good thing about using this futon, and that’s… Until now, when we had Snorlax, I was the one who set up the bunk bed every night, but since we got this futon, papa has taken the initiative to do it lol. It’s a little easier now, so papa will sleep on it too lol. The bunk is mama’s, I think mama did a good job finding it lol. Is this futon Rakuten? Amazon? ? Rakuten!!! It fits perfectly. U-chan, I’m going to brush my teeth quickly!! The temperature inside the car is 26°C! Will it get a little hot while I sleep? Maybe I should turn on that electric fan! The room temperature is a little hot at 26.4°C right now, so I’m going to use the electric fan to sleep. I don’t need to use the air conditioner. The charger is a must-have item This area is the same as it was back in Kirby lol. I’m trying to find the position of the electric fan . I set mine up like this! I ‘m just charging it with a small bulldozer. I’m going to sleep with the electric fan running while charging like this! It’s 7:20 am on the second day. The room temperature is 23.6℃ and the humidity is 53%. We still have about 6 hours of driving to do today, so I’m going to wake everyone up, get ready, and head to Kyushu. By the way, I’ve been running the EB all this time, but not a single one has gone down! It’s surprisingly powerful. This time the trip is long, so I’ve got the EB, the usual AC200P, and the B230 to charge the AC200P in the passenger seat, so this time I’m using all my portable electric devices lol. The weather is difficult during Golden Week, U-chan! It’s morning ♪ I was having a good dream!! What a dream lol . Heading to Kyushu . We just left Ogawa PA. From here, I plan to go through Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, and then Yamaguchi and Fukuoka, but while I was sleeping, I don’t know if it was an accident traffic jam, but there was a ridiculously heavy traffic jam ahead… If I went as the navigation system said, I got off at Himeji once, drove on the local roads to Okayama, and then got on the highway again from Okayama. It took longer than I expected , but I’m planning to go sightseeing in Fukuoka from tomorrow, so if I can get to Fukuoka today, then I’ll be on schedule for now… I bought breakfast at a service area on the way. I stopped off at Miki SA to buy breakfast, where there is a convenience store, but the road conditions changed again in the meantime and there was a little traffic jam, but I changed my route because it would be faster to stay on the highway, so I’ll go back to the highway from here. I wonder if I’m about to enter Okayama? As you can see, the rain is getting stronger…Unfortunately, it’s forecast to rain today , but the traffic jam …sigh…it’s long, there are 470km left. I wonder if I’ve finally gotten out of the traffic jam? It took about 50 minutes. The rain is getting quite strong, and the fact that it’s completely white in front of me is also causing the traffic jam? I thought I had gotten out of the traffic jam, but I wonder if there will be another one? I was scheduled to arrive in Fukuoka around 14:00, but I wonder if it will be after 16:00? I managed to get through the traffic jam in Hyogo and enter Okayama Prefecture, so I would be happy if it continues like this, but I think the next one is Hiroshima, so I will tighten my mind and do my best again. I got out of Okayama and finally made it to Hiroshima! I feel like if I get to Hiroshima, I will get out of this and then Yamaguchi will be next. There are 330km left… about the distance from Kanagawa to Mie. If you think about it, will I be able to proceed smoothly for a long time? The worst weather in the past was around Onomichi, right? The road was restricted to 50km? Suddenly, I thought there was a 50km restriction, and then there was a terrible rain and wind… as strong as a typhoon . It may be the worst weather in the history of roads… It was probably a place that was originally windy, and the rain was so heavy that it became like this… The rain has stopped , but it feels like I will be carried away by the strong wind if I don’t hold the steering wheel properly . The scenery is amazing! The sea and the mountains!! The weather is changing so fast. It was a storm just a while ago… Finally, I’ve reached Yamaguchi, the very end of Honshu! It was such a long journey, but I’ve traveled about 800km! Hiroshima was in Shizuoka in the Chugoku region, right? Look, I’m out there!! 161km to Kitakyushu! Amazing, I’ve come 161km! Next time, I’ll take the ferry? Yes, next time I ‘ll take the ferry. Next time, if I can save up enough money to pay for the ferry to go and back… I’ve achieved some self-driving experience – that’s amazing!! The townscape is a little different again! The scenery is amazing, Yamaguchi Prefecture is probably a nice place too (sigh) It feels like the wind is still blowing. But the shaking is completely different compared to Bongo. Because, when the wind was blowing so hard that the trees were raging, it was hard to drive. Now I feel great stability . Taking a break at Dannoura Parking Area. I’m still in Yamaguchi Prefecture! After this, we cross the bridge we can see above and then we’ll be in Kitakyushu! U-chan is excited about going to the observation deck and the boat is already in front of us, so we’re finally… on to our long-awaited Kyushu! Once we cross this bridge, we’ll be in Kyushu. What kind of bridge is this? Kanmon Bridge Looking at it like this, Yamaguchi Prefecture and Kitakyushu City are this far apart, what’s this all about? Is it Kyushu or Fukuoka Prefecture? Maybe from here? We’ve just entered Fukuoka Prefecture!! From here, which was an endless road , we’ll head straight for the hot spring. I’ll take a bath once, and since the hot spring has a restaurant attached to it , I’m thinking of eating there. I want to go to Dazaifu tomorrow, so I’m going to sleep in the car nearby. I finally got off the Kyushu Landing Expressway for the first time in my life! I’ve been riding all the way from Kanagawa, so it’s been a while since I’ve been on the local roads. The highway toll cost about 15,000 yen. It’s much cheaper than taking the car ferry (Yokosuka⇄Moji)! For the car ferry (Yokosuka⇄Moji), it usually costs about 100,000 yen for three people in a private room. If you combine fuel and highway tolls, it’s a little over 30,000 yen. It’s cheap if you think about it! We managed to get into Fukuoka Prefecture, so it’s not impossible to come by driving! First, I’d like to head to the hot springs. It looks like we ‘ll be there soon! The rain has stopped for now! I’m glad it wasn’t raining here (Kyushu). The shape is amazing! We arrived at the hot springs safely! Nichio no Yu (to get to the hot springs) It was a long way to go… I heard there’s a family bath? You can’t make a reservation, it’s first come first served! Food from the bath We’ll have dinner here ! U-chan is relaxing too much. We’re off to our destination! We were lucky to be able to take a family bath this time! There’s a restaurant next to the hot springs. I’m tired today, so I’ll have dinner at the restaurant, sleep in the car near Dazaifu, and then go to Dazaifu tomorrow morning. Trials from the navigation system Until just now, the signal was really bad. For some reason it says we’re running through a tunnel, but I’m glad it was a short ordeal… It’s a fair distance, 36km from here, but we have time so we’ll head there slowly. We arrived safely! U-chan is tired today. We walked a lot today. No, we didn’t walk! Vuong-chan ran the whole time. Vuong-chan has already arrived, so he’s sleeping well. Good job, Vuong-chan. U-chan, what’s that? Yes, an acorn! (Lantern) It’s so bright! Will Vuong-chan live with the lantern inside? We set up the lantern right away and got lots of goosebumps. Isn’t it dark? ? Lantern life “end” This is “Sushi Motsu”. It seems to be only available in the Kyushu region! I looked it up and found out that it’s a 7-Eleven menu item only available in the Kyushu region! This is the usual (Gizzard Ponzu) right? This is a small sardine and bonito salad from Saga Prefecture. I didn’t have much time today, so I bought these! U-chan is eating Pino! Papa found it! I can’t get it in focus… It’s fine like this (in the can), right? Cheers! Blissful time. It’s good that there’s a drink holder here! There’s also a drink holder on this side (the window side), so it’s great. When using a tatami room layout, I use the drink holder on the window side . I’d like to try the vinegared offal right away. This is delicious! I want a Seven-Eleven near my house too. This is just the right size for an evening drink. Seven-Eleven and other convenience stores are great! It’s still 9pm today, so I’m going to have a leisurely drink and go to sleep! We have to get up early tomorrow! U-chan is coloring. Next to her, Papa and the others are having an evening drink . Each of their own time. Today’s second bottle is… mellow and delicious salt lemon . There are many different series of Lemondo, but I’ve only bought the normal one until now, but this one is delicious! Also, “Uchiwari Lemon-dou” has been changed to a tatami room styleI’m in Fukuoka now, and when I watch Yusuke’s videos, I usually think “It’s so far away,” but “There’s an RV park like this,” but today, it’s within 200km, so I can get anywhere, right? If you think about it, Yusuke’s introduction videos are useful! Usually, I’m envious, like “It’s nice, there’s an RV park like this in Kyushu,” but I’ve never used RV Park Smart, so I’m a little confused and scared. I’ll try using RV Park Smart on my Kyushu trip once! I’d like to try it out with a little beep! There are a lot of RV park introductions posted, so it’s hard to find themFukuoka has quite a few RV Park SmartsRoadside station maps and RV parks are also listed, so it’s convenient! RV Park Smart is displayed like thisI’m sleepy now, so I’ll put it away! Today’s singing is great againI think I’ll set the FF heater to about the middle! Toilet time before bedI changed the upper shelf of the multi-room. When I got Von-chan, the width got wider and there was no net, so I bought an additional one at a 100 yen shop. This is where papa’s after-party was held. Papa was pushed out and got this seat, he’s liked this seat since Snorlax (the previous car) U-chan, let’s go to bed now!! See you again tomorrow! Good night It’s still before midnight, but I’m going to sleep now! I’m going to get up at 7 tomorrow and head to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine! Good night

Its so cool to see the point of view of a Van Life with a family after watching a lot of YouTubers doing their solo vlogs camping. Such a beautiful family that seem to have a great time!
