This year’s Tokyo Game Show is set to be the largest in the event’s history, with a huge total of 772 exhibitors currently listed for participation across a whopping 4,083 booths.
The likes of Sony, Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Koei Tecmo, and Konami are just some of the biggest Japanese names amongst them.
But so much of the show floor will actually be taken up by overseas exhibitors. 299 of the listed companies are headed to the event from outside of Japan, which really hammers home how much of a global expo Tokyo Game Show has become in recent times.
Having said that, we do think it’s fair to suggest that Tokyo Game Show’s impact has diminished over the years in terms of major announcements — although with Japanese publishers such as Capcom and SEGA racking up record revenue, you could argue that the event’s getting back on track with regards to relevancy.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 will take place between the 25th and 28th September — so it’ll be here before you know it. Oh, and the show’s colourful key art is by popular Japanese illustrator Zashikiwarashi. Lovely stuff.
Anyway, we’ve cobbled together a quick list of the bigger exhibitors that are all but guaranteed to be showing PS5 games:
Arc System Works
Bandai Namco
Capcom
D3 Publisher
EA
Koei Tecmo
Konami
Level-5
Nexon
Pearl Abyss
SEGA
Sony Interactive Entertainment
Square Enix
Ubisoft
