Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is set to embark on an official visit to Japan from August 15 to 22, aiming to promote investment and strengthen economic cooperation between Punjab and Japan.
Sources indicate that during her stay, CM Maryam will engage in a series of high-level meetings with leading business figures and representatives of major Japanese companies. Her itinerary also includes discussions focused on exploring new avenues of investment in Punjab.
The Punjab Board of Investment has been instructed to complete all preparations ahead of the visit to ensure its success. The trip is being regarded as a key move to attract foreign investment and deepen economic ties with Japan.
This marks another step in Maryam Nawaz’s efforts to bring international investment to the province. In December last year, she led a high-level delegation to China, where she met officials from the Communist Party and visited major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong.
Accompanied by Senator Pervez Rashid, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Information & Culture Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan, and Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, she became the first female Pakistani chief minister to visit China on an investment mission.
