◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 8-6 Rakuten (6th, ES CON FIELD)

Uchi Seiryu pitcher came back to second with one out in the second inning after falling behind 4-6. He tossed 3 2/3 innings and closer 1 hit runs. In the last game against Nippon-Ham on the 4th, he took over from the starter Hayakawa and entered the game from the 4th inning and did not runs in 2 innings. After an early exit from starter, he moved up to mound and continued to pitch without passing the flow. “Mr. Hayakawa-san and Mr. Fujii have thrown inning to help us reliever so far, and I’m really glad that the feeling that I had to help this time led to runs,” he said.

He has made seven starts this season, and has been getting many opportunities to pitch in a “dual role” with reliever. After making two runs saves in the season opener against Orix on March 29, he has been runs no-shows at reliever. “If I get another chance to start, I want to get results. If I get a chance to start again, I want to be able to produce results, and as long as I continue to work at reliever, I want to prepare well and do my best,” he said, adding that he will play to help the team in any way he can.
