The first tier of the “Kyoto Fruit and Summer Vegetable Afternoon Tea” features four savory dishes: a terrine of summer vegetables from Kamigamo and Nishigamo with adorable leaves that catch the eye; a quiche of sea urchin and Kamo eggplant; abalone arancini with a mellow Kyoto edamame sauce; and Manganji pepper farbreton served with Masuda beef bresaola ham.
The second tier features six types of sweets, including banana mousse made with pesticide-free Kyoto Hannari Banana bananas grown in Kameoka, Kyoto, Ohara red shiso jelly, Kamigamo tomato pie, Kamigamo honey peach melba, domestic lemon paste and herb agar, and domestic passion fruit cream sandwiches.
Other dishes on offer include a Kyoto melon parfait, Kamigamo corn scones, and homemade warabimochi (warabi mochi) with a choice of four condiments, all accompanied by a glass of champagne and a rich selection of over 4 types of tea.
