[Music] hello everyone welcome back to my channel Today we’re in Suoka I will find a hidden gem that more than just a cafe It’s a cozy space where you can enjoy a healthy lunch relax with a good book and also unwind in the sauna all in one place Welcome to Ishi Tatami Chaya A hidden gem located in the historic town of Kanaya Suoka This unique cafe is more than just a place to eat Is the community hubs designed to bring peoples [Music] together The concept behind Ishi Tatami Chaya is a place for everyone Whether you’re a local resident or just a traveler the cafe offer a warm and welcoming environment where you can relax and [Music] collect The cafe menu is a center around rice cooked in the traditional iron port accompanied by seasonal ingredient to create healthy and affordable meal But Ishiatami Chaya offer more than just the food Once you step inside you greet by the selection of the local svenir handmade craft and also regional [Music] [Applause] [Music] goodies The restaurant here is a base on the first come first serve no reservation So when the table is ready the friendly star will guide us to the our seat Just a heads up the table here are very low in the traditional Japanese style But don’t worry if you’re not used to sitting on the forer They got this tiny wooden chair to make things more comfortable So now let’s talk about the food The menu here is centered around the traditional Japanese concept of the ichi east side is meaning one soup one dish It’s all about simplicity mindfulness and appreciation the beauty of the minimalism of the Japanese cuisine Beside the lunch set they also offer tempting dessert like dango matcha ro tiramizu served with the local green tea It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a charm and a relaxing afternoon We saw so many girls coming here And while many places now is a limited only 90 minutes sitting After lunch you can head over to the reading corner a cozy little space filled with the books and the magazine It’s a perfect spot to slow down or just relax on the moment And you also notice some interesting hats for sales here At the first glance they might look like a fashion item but actually this is a sauna hat In Japan it’s a common to put a tower on the hat doing an onsand or sauna But why It’s a help to protect your hat from the heat and keep your body temperature balanced [Music] Oh yes right next door this cafe even has it own sauna is made from local cyprress wood and offer a quiet space to refresh both body and mind The sauna here is a based on the reservation surface For 5,000 yen per person you can enjoy a 90 minutes session and complete with the complimentary kanya hoji And here’s something funny outside That’s a vending machine that look like it sell cigarette but don’t be fooled It’s actually tea It’s a packing in a retro cigarette style boxes and a payful trick and a great little svenir Thanks for watching If you enjoyed this hidden gem in the city ochre don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more travel find See you next time [Music]
