Japan’s Hidden Paradise I Had No Idea Existed 🇯🇵

You can lie down. You don’t
have to lean all over me.  No, I’ll still lie. Yeah. It’s an absolute
relief for me. You’ve got to come to Japan and try this cake. It’s unbelievable. It’s so nice.
Follow the Monorail sign. Hopefully, this will be straightforward. A little bit shocked of how
developed this place is. Oh, it’s a bit like um Hampshire constabooary police cell. Oh,
hi guys. Welcome back. We’re on tour with Dridgers If you’re new here, we’re a full-time travel couple
from the UK. We are currently in Osaka in Japan. And today is a travel day. We’re leaving the busy
city and heading to an island that is going to be paradise. We can’t wait. But first of all, we got
epic travel day. We’ve just spent like I don’t know 50 minutes on a metro and then we got to do
another one. But we just spotted the viral 551 pork buns. So we’re going to get one of
them to start a day off cuz I’m starving. So this is what’s going viral online at the
moment. Reanne has not stopped going on   about it. And luckily enough, there’s one right
here in the subway station. So, let’s join this queue here. It’s actually not too bad cuz in
the uh in the town center, they’re actually   literally queuing for miles. But this one,
it’s not too bad. A legend, she like showed Rian the pork bun on the camera because she
obviously saw her filming. That’s funny.  That’s why they’ve got these. I’ve noticed this
in a lot of world places. They have the big window so you can see it being baked. So, look at the
dough. She’s got the dough proven over there.   Whoa. So, all them blue tubs
are dyed. I’m buzzing for these. They’re really big as well. I love it. We call
them boa buns, aren’t they? Normally like Oh my god, they smell unreal. I love how fresh the food
is in Japan. Like everything’s cooked to order, especially in front of you. Like they have
the glass window so you can see it. Hello. Uh, two pork buns.
Thank you. Byebye.
All right, let’s find somewhere to uh taste these.  Are you allowed to eat in a metro station?
Uh, I don’t know. I think I assume so. Oh, I don’t think you can.
So, now we made it to Kaboo. Now we have to get the airport line, which is the porter line. And
I think this is quite pricey. English. Got to use it for a minute. Purchase a ticket.
I was just about to say we are getting a   lot better at these machines. We are learning a
lot. But um yeah, this this is a new one for us. So search the name. So is it a long way? Is it
Can’t far station. So do you think it’s just that one?
Yeah.  Oh, maybe it is cheaper than I thought.
It’s only one station, isn’t it? Yeah, but I thought it might have been more expensive
because um it’s um an airport line. Airport lines are always more expensive, aren’t they?
But 150.  150.
Not bad.  Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. So, I’ve actually got
the IC card, but Ben has it. So, every time I have to buy him a ticket, which is annoying
because we can’t get it to work on his phone. Yeah. I mean, uh, top tip for if you are
traveling here, get your IC card to work before you come here because if you do that, you
just literally scan each place. It’s so easy. And   this is easy as well, but it’s just a little bit
effort. All this food here. We got like Belgium waffles. Oh my god, that smells unreal. It’s
all sweet stuff. I’m going sweet sticks. Oh, you got mochi. See, it is different. So,
we need the two airport. Here you go. 340. 340.
I think on the wrong one,   we could have got a refund, but I just can’t
bothered. All right. Get out my card. So, I’ll be in my Apple. So, just like using a bank
card, facial recognition, and scan. Go through. Pretty easy. I wish we could get Ben to work,
but every time we um go to add money on it,   it just says payment fail. We just don’t know
what it is. All right. See if we get a seat. H priority seats. No seat for us. We think we’re going the
right way. We think both just go the same way,   but we’re not 100% sure. We’ll
soon find out when it moves. We’re all about just finding out when it happens. All right. It’s a very small airport. I thought it
would be cuz it’s mainly just domestic flights, but we’re like 4 hours before flight. So, we’re
just going to see if we can check in. One. This one, too. Yeah. Please take your over
there. Yeah. Okay. Come on, Ben. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Checked in, but we have
to take our baggage somewhere else. meeting two. Yeah, it’s getting scanned, I think. Good.
Thank you. So, scan all our stuff before it can go through before they say, “Yeah, it’s approved.”
Um, do you think security check now?  Yeah. I’m just worried there’s
nothing through there. Oh god. Got 3 hours.
All right. Should we stay here then?  Um, let me just have a look.
Yeah, I think that’s just going to be gates, Ben. Yeah, departure gates. List, see if there’s
calf. Oh, Ben’s already spotted all the calf. So,   we’re going to go sit up there. It’s
probably the smallest airport for us to actually be early and on time for work.
That’s That’s what I’m worried about. I’m   just worried about like going through and
just having to sit there and doing nothing. I know. I know. So, we’ll just go up here,
make comfortable, then I can crack her   out the laptop and we can try a bow of buns.
Right. So, this is what we’ve got. Obviously, a family m there’s a little picture of
a coffee and then there’s a coffee shop. I reckon that one looks more promising. Don’t you?
And it’s called Rare Coffee. Rare rare coffee. Yeah, that sounds like a good one. Sit
ourselves there for three hours. 4 hours. I suppose we’ll go for it last time.
Yeah. God. So I don’t like obviously   we are quite renowned for like being really
really late but this is one time that we’ve been really early where sort of half think
that we shouldn’t have done it. We should have   probably waited around for a little while. Maybe
done something in the city first. I don’t know. Oh, this looks nice. So, this
is literally what the airport   consists of. This little sitting area here.
Looks like a good food place, doesn’t it? It actually looks all right. There’s like a cart
there. Looks like you can get a beer. Ben, it  food truck. Yeah, that’s quite cool.
Oh, yeah. Little beer spot. Sandwiches.
4 hours. How many beers do you reckon? So, a sandwich is around 900 and you
can get like a bento box for 1300. Oh, we can sit in one of them booths, can’t we?
Yeah, they got coffee though. No,   they ain’t got coffee. Oh, they
have soft drinks, coffee, and tea. So, this is probably the smallest airport I’ve
ever been to. We have two planes on the tarmac and nothing else. So, this is just like a an island
off of Osaka. It’s not even in I wouldn’t even say it’s actually on the mainland of of Japan. It’s
little island off it. And that is it. One. Two. Uh coffee.
Hot coffee.  Hot. Yes. Uh hot coffee.
Two. One.
One. and one tea.  Do they have hot tea?
Yeah, that’ll do. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Feel like I should get a point.
No, you’re not getting a point,   Ben. It’s not holiday.
480 card. Okay. Oh, these look well good. Yeah. Love
it. Oh, can I have one of these, too? Thank you.
This one?  Yeah. Do you want one? No, I’m all right.
No, just one. Just got to wait for your coffee. Yeah. Thank you.
Thank you. So, this is my tea I got.   It looks like a homemade corner of brew.
It’s massive bottle. Quite unusual. It’s got like a strong aftertaste.  Chicken and rice inagi.
It’s not anagi. It’s It’s not anagi.
Anigeri. Anigeri.  Angeri. chicken and mostly [ __ ]
So this is called a [ __ ] You can get like these in 7-Eleven. This looks like
like Ria says like a homemade home fruit. Yeah, it’s got big bits of chicken.
Oh, that looks good. This is actually   quite reasonable for the price.
I just remembered we still had our buns to eat, but they’re massive. It
actually looks really heavy as well. Oh, I’m looking forward to trying this.
Oh, it’s a bit stuck to this now. Let’s do a break. Proper full.
That’s good.  That smells amazing as well.
Why are these going so viral? Does it look good? Yeah,
maybe. M. Full of flavor, full of meat, and delicious. The
bun. Look at the fluffiness of it. That is really good. We also got a sache of mustard. See if I
can open. Oh, yes. I love mustard. So, I love that they give you little sachets out here. Let’s try
it with some mustard. Might be too much. Too much. M. 10 out of 10. Oh, up the nose. The nose bum.
And the best thing about mustard here in Japan, it’s not like American mustard. It’s not like
that like weak stuff. It’s strong, pungent. It’s a little bit like English mustard. So, it gets
it gives you a good kick. So, it’s addictive. All right, 3 hours has gone super
quick. So, we’ve got an hour left. So,   we’re going to go through cuz we haven’t
gone through like liquids and passport. Don’t know if we have to go for passport control
cuz it’s a domestic flight. But we’re going to go   through. I’ll get all panicky at the last hour.
Well, I don’t know why we rushed. It literally took, as Ben just said on camera,
two seconds. Also, you can go   through with bottles of water. Turn around.
So, we went through with that whole bottle of water. They just um put it on a machine at the
end. Like they do in China at the train station.  Yeah.
Same same technology that us in the West, they haven’t even comprehended that yet.
I know. We need that. You shouldn’t have to pay   like $4 in a stupid airport for bottles of water.
That’s just like a ripoff. But I’m glad we didn’t come through here too soon cuz literally nothing.
It’s just the um departure bits. Um when we was up in that calf, actually
felt quite comfortable in that calf.  Yeah, it was nice actually.
Yeah, it was quite nice. But I didn’t even feel like we was in an airport and I forgot we
had to do all this get through security and stuff.  Oh, there’s a flight cancel cuz of bad weather.
I hope ours isn’t. Imagine it’s been cancelceled all this time. We haven’t checked. Oh,
it’s changed. 17:45. What time was it? Oh, no. That’s not our flight. Yeah, it is.
17:45. Delayed. It was 17:25. Late aircraft. So, you spoke delayed. Yeah, you spoke too
soon cuz you said there’s nothing in this   bit and now we’re stuck in this bit.
All right, let’s go and find some. There’s actually There’s a little calf.
All right. It is quite good in here,   though. So, we got like a charging port, free
Wi-Fi. Oh my god, the Wi-Fi is unreal. We just uploaded a video in literally minutes. This
is definitely where we’re sleeping tonight.  It will be. Our flight will keep getting delayed.
They’ve even got TV so you can watch a bit of sumo wrestling. Not bad considering it’s such a small
domestic one. This what I really like though. Over here they have like computer sections. So,
here you got like little booths and lounge. So, there is a lounge here. Tiny small
airport and there’s a lounge. Thank you. Thanks. They start they suddenly started
boarding and then we were like let’s go for a we and then we came back and they’re
like quick get on. So obviously like wanted   to rush us. Don’t look like there’s many
people on it but I think it’s quite a small plane which is going to be awful
for me. I hate flying. I’ve lost Ben. Ben, come on. the video live.
Yeah, we’re the last people to get on the plane. Ben’s trying to post a video live. Oh, good.
We’re not the last. It does look small from the outside. Oh, god. I’m 15 A. I think you’re 15B,
Ben. We didn’t even have to show our passports. No, no. What? So, you don’t
need your passport here.  Uh,
give me your passport. Oh, we’re checked in, aren’t we?
Give me your passport. But   we’re not actually leaving Japan. So
uh yeah, I suppose we showed it at the counter when we got the tickets. Gets me all panicky.
I know. I know. So like rushing trying to get a video like
put live. I still didn’t manage to do it. But stressed out. So stressed.
What window cigarettes or no window are strictly prohibited
on board this airplane? If you would like to use mobile devices
during the flight, I think this is going to be half empty again. Looks nice,
doesn’t it? Looks like my grandma’s curtains. Yeah, it’s a bit retro. Look at this.
Look at the room. Um, do you want to go window? I don’t like being window.
If someone come doesn’t come, you can   come here. I’ll get to see the uh planes on fire.
I don’t think I’m going to have anyone next to us. This is literally half empty. Look,
all the empty seats. I don’t think about flying and then suddenly we’re like
on the plane and I get like a bit nervous.  Not the best flight. I’m getting
so much better but sometimes it just hits me like my anxiety like feel it today.
First impressions of my seat. Obviously, this is a Japanese budget airline, so you’re expecting
things to be a little bit tight. Actually,   surprisingly enough, I’ve actually got room
between my knee and the seat and I I never get that on a budget airline. Look, I’m 6’1 and like
budget airlines in Europe like Whiz Air and stuff, I literally cannot fit in the seats and I’m
not that tall. I’m not like ridiculously tall, but these I’m actually I’ve actually got room
which is nice. Also, we have a little menu here. Prices like beers and stuff are actually quite
reasonable. Where say the price of the beer? Oh, 500. Yeah, like 700. Yeah. So, beer. It’s like
700. Tea and coffee. I can’t see the price. So, this is craft beer with snack.
Oh, with a snack.  Yeah.
700. What an absolute bargain. Yeah, quite quite happy with
first impressions are quite good.  The plane’s moving. And we got a spare seat.
You can lie down. You don’t have to lean all over me.
I still lie. Yeah.  It’s an absolute relief for me.
Oh, I’m so glad. See, it pays to be the last
ones on because you don’t   have to wait around. I bet everyone was thinking,
“Oh, there they are. Finally. Finally.” Next stop don’t even 49 minutes.
Don’t you just love it? Before the flights even took off though, like expect some turbulence.
Yeah, but the weather’s been quite bad,   doesn’t it?
Yeah, a few flights were cancelled. So, I’m glad I’m on the wing, though. That’s supposedly
where you feel less turbulent. So, but it’s only an hour and 50 minutes, so that’s not too bad.
So, the trolley’s coming round. I’m not sure. I’m not confused.
Ri seems to think it’s free, but Well, it seems like everyone’s getting handed one
and no one’s exchanging money. So, is it coffee? Coffee.
Yeah. We have the Free tea. Thank you.
It was free. Free coffee. Free tea. So I don’t think we’re paying for anything
on this flight. So obviously we travel um probably twothirds of the year we’re away
from home. Um, and we hit 100K about 3 weeks ago and obviously we haven’t been home to collect
our play button. If you know YouTube, you know when you hit 100,000 subscribers, you get a play
button which is like a massive thing for us and obviously a dream come true. But unfortunately,
we can’t actually physically seen photos of it, but we haven’t physically seen it. And we just
got sent this photo with our two nieces with it, which is like so cool. Um, actually, they’re
actually going to be joining us next week in in a new country. So, we’re really excited to
see them, but it’s just cool to see like the um the play button and um does it just makes
everything hit home like what an achievement. So really really proud of what we’ve
done and thank you to each and every   each and every follower, each and every
person that subscribes, likes, shares, uh anything. This is um the sports unreal. But
having said that, I’m getting some good views out here, but it’s still a little bit cloudy. I’m
hoping when we get closer to our destination, it clears up because it is supposed to be an
absolute tropical paradise. So, it would be a shame if the weather is not so good. Look, Ria’s
just got a little treat that she made earlier. What is it? I know what it is. Snack.
Just a little snack. This is like literally my dream.
Yeah. Eating just bought a little snack. Look at
that, mate. If you ain’t tried this cake, you’ve got to come to Japan and try this
cake. It’s unbelievable. It’s so nice. So good.
That is unreal.   There’s like little sultanas in the stuff. So,
this is like a famous brand. We had to queue for it and everything. Totally totally worth it.
We’re coming into land soon. I can start to see some islands. So, there’s 150 islands around here.
It’s a shame that it’s just about getting dark. Preparing for landing. Seat belt on.
Please fasten your seat belt. Prepare   for landing. We’ve landed. We’ve made
it here. Thank you. Bye. Thank you. Oh, it’s hot. Probably need
to take this jumper off.  Yes, we’re here. We are here.
We are Okinawa. Dinoir say it. That one. This is like mega mega famous for
history and stuff. Uh I can’t wait to explore. It’s supposed to be absolute paradise.
Absolutely buzzing a bit. It’s a shame   that it’s dark. I really wanted to see like
the turquoise waters and the sandy beaches, but we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see that.
Our first port call is I was going to say passport control, but I don’t think we have to do it.
We’re in the same country. pick up our bags.  Pick up our bags and get to our hotel. There’s
obviously a trans a public transport system here that we’re not exactly used to. So,
it could be a bit of night walking,   a bit of faffing about, but we’ll be all
right. We’re experienced. How good is this though? It’s like a low budget airline and
they let you check in baggage for free and   you get obviously all whatever you want
to take on there. Free tea and coffee. Yeah, I think that’s a really good
airline. I actually really like  Solar Seed, I think that’s called
airline. It’s a Japanese budget airline. And look, I know it was half
empty, but we got plenty of room.  Yeah, the bedroom’s really good. Let’s just
hope both our bags made it here. Number four, that’s our one. Can’t spot them yet. A level
eight green one normally sticks out like a sore thumb. Look at these people with blue
big boxes. I need to take this jumper off.   It’s way too hot. It’s got like the tropical
kind of air vibe. Like muggy hot. There it is. Just the backpack.
Yeah,  it’s wet. Raining.
Look, it’s waterproof. It is right here. I love it when they’re that easy. It’s ideal. Multi-purpose suitcase just hung that
one there. Ben nearly hit the woman. It’s like traveling with a child. All right.
Monal. Can you see a mon up there? Right. Follow the Monal sign. Hopefully this will be
straightforward. That’ be nice, wouldn’t it? That’ be nice. So, time is 10 8
now. I want to be by a place 9:00. Yeah. We got to try and get some dinner as well.
I don’t have a clue. We’ll see what’s around us.  Once we get to our place,
we’ll be able to find out. But yeah,
that was pretty easy.   Found the mon straight away. Number six. So 290.
Easy peasy. Assuming my IC card still works here, I think so.
Did you get English?  English at the beginning. Ben,
just um go back to the beginning. You can’t buy card. It has to
be cash. Have you got cash?  I think.
There you go. England. As literally as we got on here, ideal. I think
we’ve only got six stops. Maybe. Six stops. Yeah. So, not too bad. Right. We’ve made it
on the mon. We should be about a 15minute walk to our accommodation. Let’s hope
we get this right. This is smoothly so   far. It is half 8. If we get there, I’ll be
there before my 9:00 dead time. I’m happy. I’m actually really excited to be here now we’ve
got here all the flying and traveling is done.  It feels like it’s going to be very
tropical. It’s so hot. It’s like um humid heat is really muggy and you can
see like palm trees. There’s actually no palm trees now cuz that’s always the way
when you say it. But there’s palm trees   back there. I promise. But it’s going to be like
a tropical little holiday for us I feel like. Yeah. I I’m actually like a little bit shocked
of how developed this place is. Like I didn’t obviously Japan everywhere is developed but I
sort of expected like car Caribbean vibes you know like when it’s not you know motorbikes and
it’s not so developed but this is like lovely beautiful here really is.
It’s really nice. I’m looking   forward to exploring it. We’re trying to decide
whether to rent a car and trying to get a bit more round the island, but we haven’t decided yet
cuz sometimes the cars can like ruin it because you’re stressed. You don’t want to ruin the car
and you’re not going to use the public transport   and get like in mixed of it and you don’t get
stressed by trying to find things. It’s too easy. I know I’ve been here, we’ve
been in Japan a few weeks now,   but I sound like a bit of a newbie, but I’ve just
realized they they actually drive on the left. Is that same as us?
Same as us. Sure.  And there is our accommodation. So, we’ve
made it way within our time. 2048. And Ben’s actually got a cold and he’s all snotty.
I’m in the middle of blowing my nose. You’re   like vlogging. Yeah. I was catching you
cuz you’re never ill and you’re not ill. I’m not ill anyway. I’m just playing.
Yeah. All right. That’s accommodation there. Yeah, you can rent bikes.
Oh, this is right. What do you mean? Hello.
Go.  Oh, thank you.
The ride today in the   supermarket. Okay. Thank you. Thank you.
Okay then. Thank you. Nice guy. It’s good. Free bikes, free drinks,
free tea, coffee, drinks, soft drinks.  He said there’s a store just
outside on the right. Did he say? Yeah, on the right hand side. So,
we’ll be going down there in a bit.  I’m interested to see what our place
is like cuz the picture is a little bit looks like a hostel a little bit.
Yeah, I think this is not This was   a very This was only £35 a night, which
for Japan is very budget. So, let’s see. This is cheap accommodation yet.
Uh, what number are we then?  403.
403. Come in. That’s 401. [ __ ] hell.  403. Maybe I’m dyslexic with numbers.
I thought it was just letters, but oh, air con.
Oh, it’s already on.  I can feel it. It’s nice and cold.
It’s what you want. Oh, god. the finished mattresses
in the world. You got the door.  Yeah.
I knew it was going to be like that. Oh, it’s a bit like um Hampshire
constaboo police cell. How would you know? How would I know? Yeah.
No, to be honest. Air con’s on fridge,  kettle TV,
TV that’s going to get used about zero times. But how hard is this?
Oh, it’s literally touching the wood underneath. They might as well just not have to. It’s the only
thing. Oh. Oh, that is that is hard, isn’t it? PC fun. Leave me alone. Bathroom. Tiny.
Oh, you can have a baby little bath. Smells clean. No. Toilet, sink, soaps. It’s all
right. We’ve only got three nights here, right? We are back out. We actually need
to get some food. I’m absolutely starving.   I know I always say I’m absolutely starving, but
I generally am absolutely starving. Uh we had a quick look on the map. It looks like there’s
just like restaurants open. And to be honest,   I don’t want to sit at a restaurant. I
just don’t feel like it. But look at these streets. They’re proper Well, obviously
they’re dead. Like everywhere in Japan,   you’ve obviously got a uh a vending machine.
I need to try I saw one earlier on. It was pineapple. I need to try that.
Oh, laundry.  There is actually laundry in our hotel. And we
did check out quickly the little lounge area. Um, free tea and coffee and it looked
like there was a coke machine as well.  Look at this vending machine. You get [ __ ]
that it’s like free quid. I think in the UK cigarettes now are like I think they’re like 15
quid. Don’t smoke but the prices are mental and in Japan still get cheap [ __ ] But like with our
place, I know like some people would be thinking, “God, I wouldn’t stay there. That looks horrible.”
But for us, that’s absolutely ideal. It’s um got everything we need that little lounge area, free
tea and coffee, so we can sit there, we can work.   Uh obviously, we can go out, we can film, and
I know that mattress is going to be quite hard, but worst things that happen at sea. I’m I’m I’m
generally happy with it. I’m That’s all we need. All we need. 35 quid a night. It’s all we
need. And that’s why we’ve been doing this   so long because we’re not too fussy. Anyway,
here we are. Family Mart. Let’s get some grub. Chocolate smoothie.
Oh, yeah. Chocolate crapp. Oh, mate. If you ain’t tried one of these
smoothie machines, they’re absolutely unreal.  Oh my god. I’m going to have
one of them tomorrow. Yeah, we actually prefer Family Mart to 7-Eleven.
Yeah, it is a little bit better  and cheaper.
And cheaper. Yeah. Look at the beer juice as well. This drink here, we tried it
on our night not night life video. Proper strong. Proper strong. And it it is going a little
bit viral at the moment. Morning guys. Right,   we are up bright and early actually. Actually
quite early for Rian. But we are going for well we’re doing like a little power walk at the moment
but we will also be doing some jogging. We’re trying to keep a little bit fitter. Obviously our
job essentially is to eat food and drink beer. So obviously we need to start looking after oursel.
So, we’re going to make a point everywhere we go to find a little running route and um go for
runs and keep fit and stuff because obviously we’re getting older. This is our life and we
want to start the start to make sure we stay in shape a little bit. But, um this is absolutely
beautiful. Have a look at this. Unreal. And the weather is absolutely beautiful today. Now we’re
cooking on gas. Two pack of the year. Here we go. Come on. She’s crumbled.
She’s crumbled already. There is all these vending machines everywhere.
I stupidly haven’t brought any money with   me. I didn’t realize how unfit I was till I
started doing this 5k. Was it couch to 5k? This is my third run out of it. And you
do like 90 seconds walking and a minute running. But I don’t know if it’s heat and
lack of water, but I’m terrible. When I did   on the running machine, I found it all
right. But out today really struggling. Hi.
Hi. How are you?  Good, thank you. How nice. And the locals are so
nice. There’s everyone out fishing and running. This is why this island’s known for like being
like people living to 100, like living longer, cuz it’s all about health, looking after yourself.
And how nice are they? Everyone who’s run past me smile and say hello. Ben’s like ran on the head
and then he runs back every now and then. Just find me. But I’m halfway through my couch to
5k. The good thing about this running route, there’s toilets everywhere. So if you’re going for
a run in the morning, you know it’s like you might need that desperate morning poo when you’re on
your run. Well, there’s toilets everywhere along   here. Water fountains. This is well a good running
spot. I’d like to say we’ll come here every day, but day one nearly killed me. But I’m going to
try my best. I’m going to try and concentrate on my fitness and eating better. But it’s hard when
you travel, especially when you move about. Cat, we showered and all fresh after our run. I’m
absolutely knackered. What you don’t know   is getting to the running spot is 30 minutes
walk as well. So, we’ve done an hour walking and running as you say. Good for you though.
Yeah. Yeah. I think I’m going to ache tonight and sleep very well. But let’s see if
we get up and do it again tomorrow.  Yeah. Yeah. As I say, try try and
get ourel a little routine going. We’re not going to bore our videos and make it
all about fitness and nutrient. We’ll still be   the same type of people. Just got to take
a little bit more care of ourel traveling full time. It’s easy to get very lazy. And we’re
getting old, aren’t we? So, we need to be careful.  You said we ain’t getting any younger. And also,
our content is basically Yeah, it’s not it’s not it’s not ideal for uh keeping
us in shape, that’s for sure.  But we’re now going to head to a coffee
shop, just catch up on some work, and then we’re going to head out for dinner later.
I found a really good ramen place, so I’ll show   you guys. I’m really looking forward to it.
This is honestly this place. I know it’s a Sunday, but it is so
it’s just quiet.  It is. There’s not many people about.
Not too many cars on the road. I actually looked into it. I thought
maybe maybe no one lives on this island,   but there’s like 300,000 people live
in this city. So, where are they all? This is the capital city, isn’t it?
This is the capital city of this island. Yeah.  Naha. Yeah. And I did actually read that 80% of
the population live on this main ether on this main island or in this main city or the whole
population of the island. It’s mental. Ben,   that’s yours.
Oh, okay. Thank you. Thank you. So, we just
found like a Starbucks. We wanted to go to the Japanese local chain detour.
Dour. Uh down but it’s closed on Sundays. So we just found a Starbucks just down
the road. And it’s like a wall inside. Ben, you should go and get your
eyes tested. Ben, you are so blind.  Yes, I know.
I thought you did your hair. I’ll just quickly put some stuff on it. Shut up. Taking messy.
Taking a piss out of   me. It’s supposed to be messy. It’s a messy look.
All right. So, it cost us £5 for our drink. So, black coffee and a tea. It’s not bad, but
we’re just going to get some editing done   and then we’ll get some food maybe. All right.
Many hours have gone. Nearly finished the video. Such a long video. I hate ones like that. I like
quick and easy ones. But we’re just heading for   dinner now. Ben’s found us a location. So, God
knows what that’s going to be like. It looks like it’s all about the beer. I think that’s
why he’s gone for it. I think it’s cheap beer.   No, like I’m not being funny, right? If it’s good
food and there’s cheap beer as well. It’s just like just good, isn’t it? So,
just find it for us first. I’m hungry now, but I feel a sore throat coming
on, so I hope I’m not getting ill. I’m going to   go to 7-Eleven later. I’ve looked up like some of
the stuff that you can get there. Is it up here? Oh, this looks cool. It looks kind of like Hawaii.
That was the other one. Oh, is it? It looks busy. Really busy. It’s well busy in there.
Hope ain’t got books.  All right, this is the place that we’re
going to. Go on then, Ben. Looks decent. Oh, okay. You don’t know what
she said, do you? She said that. What’s that mean?
White. Okay. two,   please. Right. I feel like already we’ve
made a really good choice because all the menus are in Japanese, which means it’s
going to be good, local, authentic food. I was going to She’s She’s going to say it. English
English. Oh, lime. Hello. Lime. Uh,
cabbage or fried pasta? Cabbage. Cabbage. Cabbage.
Yeah.  So, we’ve downloaded the line app. It’s called
line. Yeah. Line, which is like Asian water tap or something. We’ve scanned this and we
got the menu, but Rian can’t translate it, so we’re still struggling a little bit,
but she’s brought this out. Uh some   cabbage and some lemon juice. Delicious.
Wow. That is an absolute beauty. Cheers. Oh, mate. Love it. So, we’ve managed to
order. We got a selection of different stuff. Some real like local stuff, like normal
like everyday stuff. Big beer obviously. Um the atmosphere here of it’s like I don’t know
it’s like sort of like friends and colleagues and you look around rowdy bunch over there very rowdy
here but um we’re going to cause some trouble. Yeah. No, it’s good. It’s really good. Real
local place. Obviously it’s all Japanese menus, Japanese people. Love it. Love it. Good
start to our um our trip here. Definitely. All right. We’ve just ordered some food
bits on the app. So, we started off with uh we call them monsoon at home, but I’m not sure
the name here. We’ve had them before in China. And you just um like Ben’s doing, you squeeze
them out. What you got to do that pops out. So, just squeeze them at the end. Tastes good. Enjoy them. Got some rice. So,
we just ordered like a variety of different things. These guys over here are proper
rowy buds. They’re going crazy over there.  I absolutely love this vibe. I would say this
is this is literally a restaurant stroke bar where everyone’s just sat here having a
beer getting rowdy. It’s a Sunday night   as well and people don’t care. Just having
a good time. So everyone’s like socializing, having good food, having good beer. It’s what
we like. Very, very local. Like no one speaks English. The menu is all in um Japanese.
So perfect. Oh my god. Massive portion of fries as well.
Loving that.  Oh my god. I think you went for the
really big portion. I did. Yeah. Is that just ketchup? I’m going to assume
it’s a bit of red sauce. Bit red sauce. Oh, do you know when chips are not fast? Thank you. Thank you. All right. So, we got
two bits of chicken. One with a   sauce and one without one. Looks
good. We can share it. for sure. So, let’s see if the kernel is better than
the Japanese chickens, I would say. Oh, mate, that’s so good. That’s so
juicy. That’s literally the most juicy bit of chicken I’ve ever eaten in
my life. Try the chicken with the sauce. I don’t know why I’m filming
you try these things, but  I don’t know. I tell you what, though. I really
love it in here. It’s really, really good. That’s good. Is that just that chicken?
Everything’s like super hot as well. So, this is the final dish. We got I’m
going to call them dumplings. No, Zikos. Yeah, they got a Japanese
name, but I can’t remember it.  We’ve got given these sauces so we can make
our own little sauce. We got garlic sauce. Oh, I think that’s chili sauce. That’ll be
a vinegar. Yeah. So, we got chili oil, vinegar, and then we’ll add some garlic
to it and make your own little sauce. Oh, where’s the soya? What’s that one? That one there. Oh, that is a fantastic dip. Fantastic.
Fantastic. All right, let’s go in and try one of these. Look at the crispiness.
When we were reading reviews of this place, they said that’s the thing you must try here. So, M. That’s so juicy. Look at that.
Moist. It’s like chicken and spring onions. Maybe it dip it in my lovely sauce. Unreal. They’re good. Little bit of crunch
and then soft and loads of filling with loads of flavor. This is what happens
when Ben asked me to order him a beer.  It’s a baby one. But we’ve demolished
all that food. It was unreal, wasn’t it? So good. I generally reckon that
was probably the best meal I’ve   had in a long time. That was so good.
We like a bit of piggy food, don’t we? Just a bit of everything to share. I don’t mean
the meal because I’ve had some fantastic food, but the whole atmosphere, beer, you know, pick
pick your food just pretty good. Pretty good. It’s very busy in here as well. Like nearly
every table’s full. Um some of the crowdy lot is starting to go home now. I’m loving it. I’m
really loving this island. I’m really glad we   come here. It’s just like another side of
Japan instead of the busy mental cities. This feels like a lot more relaxed and chilled
and everyone seems really happy. Now we have   to work our hours to pay. I think we just
take that up. I think so. How much was it? 43.
4,37. Thank you.
Thank you. Bye. For the type of place we went to and the food,
definitely 100% worth every penny. It was really good atmosphere. Surface was amazing. So, I
highly recommend it if you’re in Okana. Okana, is that how you say it?
Okan. But we’re going to pop to 7-Eleven. As I said
earlier on, I’ve got a bit of a sore throat, so I’m just going to grab some bits there.
Just did a little bit of research and just going to get, you know, like a tickly
cough and you’ll probably get a bit.  Yeah, probably. Yeah. Now you mention it. Oh, wow.
Wow, look at all that matcha stuff right in front of you. Cool selection of matcha. Thank you.
Thank you. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. When I sat when I was in Lawson,
the woman pointed me across here. She said, “Go to the pharmacy shop.” It’s not
really pharmacy. It sells everything. Um,   but there was like a woman in a white coat
and all that work in there. She’s like, well, she probably said, “Can I help
you in Japanese?” And I just said, “Oh,   sore throat.” and she um told me to get these
two products. So, turn them over. Can I see them, please? This is the one that I saw online that I
wanted and then she told me to get that as well. And it come to 853 and I’ll let you know if it
helped. Right, we’re back home. What an absolute great evening. What a great day as well. And
really good first impressions. I cannot wait to   explore this island and see some of the tropical
beaches. This place has got so much to offer. I actually really love it here. Um, loads
more to come. Make sure you watch, subscribe. But these guys are over here. They’re
a proper rowdy bound. These guys are

  3. Okinawa is a special place and a popular tourist destination for Japanese people. You’ve experienced the local side of Okinawa before it becomes more developed and commercialized for international tourism.

  4. I'm a veteran of many visits, wife being Japanese an' all, and I love your videos. Honest, raw and you are both adorable too! Okinawa is amazing! 😍

  5. You are not in China. You don't have to show your screen when you check in with your Suica card. It uses NFC, so just tap your phone on the reader!

  7. What happened to the views? Keep this up and Reanne will have to do Onlyfans to pay for the ticket home

  8. 21:13 I've mentioned in the next video after this one to try Pork Tamago Onigiri while in O-key-nah-wa, but if you missed it, there is one at the airport which is the window to the left of the screen at this timestamp behind that man with the black hat. Did the med helped your Sore throat?

  9. パシフィックホテルに泊まっているのでしょうか?少なくともその近辺!?
    ジスタス(西町東交差点)から東、那覇市の中心地へ向かっていますね。😃
