10 days in Hokkaido πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ εŒ—ζ΅·ι“ (must-eat, summer roadtrip, photo spots, flower field) | japan trip

Surprise suprise! We’re now at Hokkaido It’s our second time here And this time we will be bringing you guys to Niseko We’ll stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono for four nights A car was arranged by the hotel to pick us up from Sapporo station It’s about 1 hour 45 minutes car ride from Sapporo to Niseko Niseko is very well known for skiing and snowboarding during winter times But it has so much to offer in summer too It’s the season when all the fresh delicious local produce are at its best When all the beautiful flower blooms And best of all, very comfortable weather We can’t wait to explore this part of Hokkaido with you guys! Greeting card and some snacks for us to enjoy in the car Finally arrived at our hotel after a comfortable ride The famous Mount Yotei facing the hotel Home for the next four nights Cozy vibes at the lobby Checking in Was delightfully surprised by how spacious and comfortable the whole room is Welcoming snacks in the room Let’s do a room tour This is the King Bed, Mountain View room Bose speaker at the bedside There is a living room too Bathroom with rain shower and bathtub They use Le Labo for their shower ‘trios’ Walk in closet where you can put your luggages And an automated toilet at the end Good thing about this room is that there are two bathrooms So we don’t need to take turn to use anymore Waking up to this view every morning It will look even more stunning when the sky is blue Warm greetings from the hotel Decided to order in-room dining Wide variety of selection for the in room dining and their curry caught our eyes Chill at the living room while waiting for our food Their strawberries are so sweet Our lunch has finally arrived, and the dining table is nicely set up We decided to move them next to the window for the beautiful view We’re amazed by the fried pork cutlet that is still crispy even after some time The unagi is very soft and flavourful Perfect start of our trip in Hokkaido Very looking forward to the upcoming days Let’s explore the hotel It has a very well-equipped gym And best of all, it opens for 24 hours daily Their swimming pool is so aesthetic Makes us wana have a dip It’s time for dinner Kickstart the dinner with a glass of sparkling champagne Appetisers already looking so good Main star of the night, Japanese BBQ Start with grilling the vegetables We’ve corns and asparagus here Don’t know what magic they did on these corns But they’re so sweet and juicy The meat is so fresh that we only have to grill it for few seconds These lamb chops are the MVP of the night Very tender and flavourful Perfect way to end our first day in Niseko Good morning, grabbing some pastries for our breakfast Breakfast in Hokkaido ain’t complete without having the local milk Apart from the wide selection from the buffet, we can order from this ala carte menu too Our breakfast table situation Must get their french toast if you happened to stay at this hotel Ordered this hokkaido pokebowl donburi from the ala carte menu Breakfast here is so satisfying Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had We both are so pumped up now for the day On our way for some summer activities at the hotel First up, gonna try out this zipflight Gearing up So excited as this is our first time doing zipflight And we’re doing the Asia’s longest zipflight for our ‘zipflight virgin’ experience Taking the hanazono summer gondola up the hill first Besides for zipflight, we can actually take the gondola at leisure during our stay We did two trials of zipflight which are shorter and slower to get the ‘feel’ and skill Super professional Let’s go!!! We feel like we are flying So fun Heading to our final zipflight, the real deal! To be honest, a bit nervous for it, but at the same time can’t wait to do it The speed is about 120km/h This is where we’re going to do it It’s like four times taller than what we did just now The view from there should be quite beautiful Can you spot our hotel? It’s where we’re zipflying to! Are you guys ready? Let’s fly! Passing through this beautiful lush green mountain If the weather is good, we can even see Mt. Yotei while flying down Timmy is moving so fast We thought it will feel like a riding roller coaster, but it’s not at all The whole experience feels a bit like riding a fast moving car The breeze is surprisingly enjoyable It’s so fun that we wanna do it again Definitely a 10/10 must-try experience here On our way to the donut boat Timmy the captain (lol) It’s quite easy to move the donut boat around Instead of having our afternoon tea in a dining room, we chose this unique experience The afternoon tea set comes with macarons from Pierre HermΓ© Paris and some savory items The must-try ispahan from Pierre HermΓ© Paris This is the kind of experience that we can’t get elsewhere So glad we did it in this trip Blessed with the good weather The sky has finally cleared up and Mt. Yotei is showing Mount Yotei is known for its resemblance to Mount Fuji Do you think they look alike? πŸ—» Time to relax and unwind after a day of fun-filled activity Choosing our massage oil It’s spa time, see you guys later Interesting enough, we had one of the best massage experiences here Very relaxing, highly recommended! The room comes with a private onsen Have a good soak in the onsen Best thing to do after a very good massage Dinner time Trying out Hokkaido local white wine The clam is so sweet and the seaweed butter added umaminess to the flavour An open kitchen where you can watch the chefs in action The egg yolk sauce underneath the salmon roe is a big surprise Need a short walk after a very full dinner Don’t you think they look like fireflies? They’re still installing the lights when we’re there Imagine a ribbon of lights across the ski slopes It’ll be a breathtaking view at night Checking out the hotel’s bar Pretty good cocktails they have here What an awesome way to end our day 2 We rented a car for two days and going to explore the other parts of Hokkaido from Niseko We parked our car at the designated carpark and walked to our first stop of the day This is shibazakura They’re also known as moss phlox It’s actually a private garden but open to public for free What a sight to see the whole place covered in shades of pink, white and purple Can you spot Timmy? We’ve seen photos and videos of shibazakura for many years But this is the first time we’re seeing it with our own eyes Still can’t get over how beautiful it is Thank you Mishima-san! 🌸 This is one of the famous cow farms in Niseko Moo moo Here for their cream puffs (camera eats first) OMG, look at that cream The cream is incredibly good, so smooth and rich Their milk pudding is also very good Texture is on point Worth mentioning is their yoghurt milk drink that is the best we’ve had We didn’t try it here because our hotel breakfast has ‘unlimited’ supply of it :p If you’re visiting Niseko, this place is an absolute must-visit Right next to it is a lifestyle store Milk flavoured lip cream ‘Forest’ flavoured lip cream (wonder how it tastes like) This farm is pretty fun to visit with many shops and restaurants in it If the weather is good, you could even see the majestic Mt. Yotei As for now, both the cream puff and pudding made up for it Back at our hotel for lunch First time trying Shiraoi beef which is a famous breed in Hokkaido And the egg yolk is the pale kind (which means it’s fed with white cornmeal) This is a solid bowl of beef donburi, so good Their lamb chop is really unbeatable Very delicious! Had a very good lunch here, and it’s time to hit the road for more adventure Oh ya, before that, we gotta have this milk soft serve recommended by the hotel staff It’s so rich and creamy Sweet sweet ending, we’re ready to hit the road now! Drove about an hour from Niseko to Otaru and our first stop is this bakery It’s like a hidden gem, hidden among the residences Bread on display Besides their bread, we’re partly attracted by their paper bag How creative they are Off to our next stop in Otaru Parked our car here up on the hilltop for free This view is definitely picturesque Even more breathtaking at sunrise and sunset Every single corner of Japan is purely beautiful Walking downhill to another photo spot Here for this cute yellow ferris wheel next to the ocean Be mindful of the traffic if you’re here to take photos It’s our second time to Otaru This time we are going to try some of the local favourites Otaru is famous for sushi, so we decided to try one local sushi restaurant here Sushi here is fresh and delicious but nothing exceptional Service isn’t very good either We think that there should be other better options This restaurant is famous for its deep-fried chicken It’s so famous that it has many chains across Hokkaido It has the right crisp and the right amount of seasoning The meat is so juicy! Zangi is Hokkaido’s unique style of fried chicken in large piece and flavourful coating So good and glad that we finally made it here this time Back at Niseko Decided to stop by a local supermarket to check out what local stuffs they have First thing first, go to the milk section Get! Get! Summer is the season for melon Getting this whole melon since we’ve big cravings for it now Chocolate mint desserts are everywhere now in Japan New flavour from Haagendaaz Japan Teppanyaki night So tender with slight char on the outside giving it a bit of crisp Perfect sweet dessert to wrap up the day Today’s breakfast situation Best fuel to kickstart the day Made our own sashimi rice bowl, and got the best yoghurt milk drink Freshly baked madeleines too! On our way to another new town in Hokkaido called Noboribetsu The car journey is about 2 hours from Niseko But the weather today isn’t good as well Hopefully it will change when we are there It’s our first time to Noboribetstu Looking forward to scenic landscapes and good restaurants See you guys later We’ve finally reached our destination The moment we got out from the car, we can already smell a slight sulphur scent Some people described it as ‘rotten egg smell’ This is because Noboribetsu is famous for its natural hot springs Stone demon figures are everywhere here, even used as the logo at the toilet Can’t wait to explore the whole volcanic area Overview of the whole area It’s amazing how natural wonders like these exist Steam rising from the earth Walking down the valley to get upclose with the volcanic terrain It is truly a sight to behold! Made our way to another spot It’s about 15 minutes walk This view is from the observatory deck It’s said that the water temperature is about 70-80 degree celcius The water here is milky white and teal hues due to the sulphur content The water here is bubbling Since we’re very close the lake, we can actually feel the mild heat Very mesmerising view, definitely worth the 15-minute walk We then walked further up to our next stop This small river is from the hot spring You can see steam rising This natural footbath is free The water is not very hot, just lukewarm Very comfortable, especially after a long day of walking It feels very relaxing especially under this natural ambiance Do bring along a towel to dry your feet Highly recommend checking this place out Back at where we started These are the baton statues of the demons Feeling hungry Checking out what to have for lunch This pizzeria seems to have very high ratings on Google Maps So we gave it a try Wanna try everything on the menu They use a stone oven to bake their pizza Smells so good! It has several toppings on the pizza The smokiness of the salmon, crisp from the freshness of the lettuce And most importantly the sweetness from the freshly grated wasabi They created a refreshing contrast to the richness of the pizza Worth mentioning is the pizza dough that has the perfect texture Crispy on the outside, soft and mochi-like chewiness on the inside Didn’t expect a good pizza in a small town like this After a happy lunch, we drove about an hour to our next stop Sun is coming out and the sky is clearing up Saw these railway tracks disappearing into the lake It feels like a scene from the Ghibli’s Spirited Away Will look even better if we are here early in the morning Where is my Mt. Yotei? Guess ‘he’ is too shy The cruise that looks like a moving castle Someone found a Pokemon manhole There is also a free footbath here It’s such a pity that the clouds are still covering Mt. Yotei Guess we shall see you again next time On our way back to Niseko Decided to revisit the shibazakura garden since the clouds are slowly clearing up Timmy is so excited Wait for it… We’re really grateful to be able to see this on our last day here Mt. Yotei + carpet of shibazakura = just mesmerising Hokkaido is indeed very beautiful So many good memories here over the past four days It’s dinner time f you’re craving for Chinese food, they’ve pretty good option here Our dinner sunset view Back at our room and having the melon we bought yesterday It’s so sweet πŸ™‚ All packed and ready to go to the airport The hotel is so caring They even prepared a breakfast set for us to enjoy in the car Goodbye Niseko Goodbye Mt. Yotei You’ll be missed Remember to check out the domestic terminal before you check in Getting this! Fresh out from the oven Bought two cheesecakes back to Hong Kong And also this milk soft serve This vlog is the second half of our trip in Hokkaido Stay tuned to the first half in the next vlog As we’ll bring you to explore more hidden gems in Hokkaido

  1. Greetings from the beautiful Hokkaido! Let us know where you guys are watching from? πŸ’™β€οΈ

  2. From Singapore! I just went to Hokkaido in early June too. Followed some of your recommendations from your first trip to Hokkaido and your second trip seemed so much more fun with the stay at Niseko! Now, you make me want to go back again. πŸ˜‚

  3. Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?

  4. Hi, watching from Singapore! Hokkaido is the destination where even Japanese people want to visit, like me! Food there is super niceπŸ˜„
