🍁Kyoto Uji Day Trip Itinerary 🍵 Hidden Gems & 6 Must-Visit spots, Autumn views, Matcha Tea Food
[Music] come take a journey with me as we take a day trip to the famous matcha town of uji only 30 minutes train from kilo good morning it’s a beautiful day in Kyoto we are on our way to the train to uji [Music] we are here at uji station uji is the home of matcha Kyoto green matcha very excited to be [Music] here we are walking across the famous uji bridge one of the the oldest bridge locations in Japan our first stop is the buin [Music] temple so we’re going to go see building Temple first some information before you go into the temple the temple is a UNESCO world heritage site it was built as a villa in 998 and converted to a temple in [Music] 1052 if you like what you see please support the channel and subscribe thanks very peaceful small crowds admiring the Autumn [Music] foliage this sign explains why a gwin’s book is different from a normal train book you can choose between Phoenix hall or Buddha we got a Goin there’s also a paper with some explanation about its importance [Music] that’s the entry to the museum unfortunately no photos are allowed so let’s go [Music] in there’s also little phone charms and Jewelry [Music] we’re on our way out now we’re going to get some lunch at UI Main Street there are so many little stores and cafes selling tea you kind of spal for Choice here to be honest oo Sak [Music] store such a delicious roasted tea smell it’s just so much selection not sure how to choose [Music] everywhere you look there’s a cute little cafe or doorway and we’re going to [Music] Starbucks ooh limited edition merch cute special edition Japan [Music] bear and they’re holiday desserts ooh mat a donut has a nice selection of Western Foods Donuts sausage [Music] rolls this is located about 15 minutes walk from the main shopping street and it’s very popular they are surprisingly quite busy so you’ll have to take a number [Music] [Music] really good rain you even have a matcha chocolate tart and chocolate they have a selection of green tea noodles and desserts you can also take away the famous TI misu even in Strawberry flavor and mucha sandwich cookies our next destination is the chauna tea Museum they have a museum and tea making classes you can buy a ticket to go into the museum unfortunately no videoing so they also run tea making lessons [Music] here so they’re just grinding the marcha leaves into tea these lessons are extremely popular about 2,000 Yen unfortunately we’re not doing one today but be nice activity there’s also a cute Cafe with a good view you can get green tea soft serf as well as different kinds of green tea here’s what they have at the cafe ice creams and Savory Foods they have these candies for sale which you can buy as gift along with biscuits and tea they have a nice Terrace that overlooks the Tea Leaf plantations and they’re right next to the river as well there’s all sorts of items you can buy for matcha tea making and very beautiful Japanese BS they have cute little handy crafts as well as accessories and bags they have hand towels and paper soap with tea and face Mas with tea I guess said this is the mascot very cute little dolls you can even buy local Japanese honey for a taste of Japan’s flowers you can buy Happ candy gives you different lucky things a look at these cute little I’m not sure what this very cute and whatever this is also very cute so we’re off to which comei Ginger Shrine here comes the tea train oui [Music] station So the plan is we’re going to go to ukami Ginger Shrine and then take a walk across the bridge and then back to the station [Music] [Music] Autumn is almost done [Music] [Music] so this is a world heritage site igami gja it’s feeling more and more magical the deeper you go in [Music] there’s also a small gift store with rabbit themed gifts you can also buy these boards your wishes lucky charm [Music] [Music] this is uji Shrine that’s a special manhole with the mumii that’s an even bigger manhole with the mumii and then I think this is for the fire department interesting manholes we are going to cross the pedestrian bridge [Music] [Music] what [Music] [Music] [Music] it’s been a big day full of exploring I hope you’ve enjoyed the video please subscribe to support the channel thanks for watching
