TOKYO NEW APARTMENT TOUR | entire process, fees, & struggles

The moving company dropped off a bunch of boxes yesterday, like ten big cardboard boxes. And they want me to pack everything up in it so that when the moving day comes AKA Monday, It’ll be easier for them to just take everything quickly. So I’m going to pick up my key to the new apartment right now And then I’m going back to my old house to pack as much as I can up As much as will fit in the cardboard boxes I’m going to show a little bit of it. It’s going to be so fun. Yeah, that’s how my morning is starting You can choose two anime voice actors at Hama Sushi Can you recognize this voice? Sephiroth Eating a healthy lunch so I have energy for today Thank you Mr. Sephiroth Lately I’ve been into this seared salmon nigiri After lunch, I head back to my old house to pack Using my housing contract to shield from the sun The moving company dropped off about 15 boxes Slowly (and sweatily) I begin packing This was my view by the way while I was doing that Update There is the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in my life in my bedroom downstairs. I think it’s because there’s a lot of, like, dead gnats down there Its legs are segmented and there’s hair on them. Is that not a tarantula? I’m going to be sick. I facetimed my friend to watch it while I went for help This thing was so fast My neighbor came over and pushed it out the window I quickly shut the window afterwards (and locked it) I wouldn’t put anything past a spider of this size Little by little, everything starts to get packed up As you can see, I’ve packed everything up It took so long and my face is red so I don’t wanna film myself right now I’m so out of it But – it’s done! I just have a bunch of trash here Everything is boxed up And everything that can’t be boxed up is ready to be moved out. So I think everything is okay! Taking one last look at my room before moving day It’s been a long day of packing and moving stuff around. I do have access to my new apartment, so I’m going to start moving stuff into the new place. But first I’m going to order pizza and just relax a second Even though I have a bunch of tasks that I want to get done, I think it’s important to kind of recoup my energy before I start before I start attacking my task-list again. So I’m going to take a break and I’m going to have pizza and watch the new season of Squid Game. Yeah, and that’s my update. I look so tired, but the end is near. The end is so close. I’m moving tomorrow. A small pizza with a side salad cost about $13 As important as it is to get things done, it’s also extremely important to know when to rest shake shAkE SHAKE I treated myself by upgrading to the cheesy crust It’s a warm June night in Tokyo Finally, doing a load of laundry to take to my new apartment Somehow doing this makes me feel slightly productive This machine is a bit expensive since its a washer & dryer Listening to Valse di Fantastica The bugs want me so bad My camera flashlight is on lt feels like a horror movie. It looks like found footage This is the size of my new apartment. And starting tomorrow I will be living here. I dropped off some laundry. For now, I’m just storing it under the closet here, because tomorrow they’re going to bring all the boxes and the furniture. So it’s going to take up probably this whole area. So I wanted to keep it as much out of the way as possible. So for now, I will go back to my hotel get ready to check out in the morning. And by tomorrow I’ll be living here. The moving guys arrive- 3 in t otal Everything got moved out in less than 20 minutes< I was surprised at how easy moving out was The total moving fee was around ~$450 - 500 Everything is moved in! There's like a whole fort of boxes and I had two beds in my other place, so I had to stack them here because I don't have as much space. But as you can see, it's furnished~ Slowly unpacking- starting with the essentials It’s late & I have work tomorrow, but I made a dent One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight more boxes to unpack and a lot of stuff to organize. But I'm just really happy that I moved in and now this is the easy part compared to everything else. I’m also happy I can make food at home again Hotels are nice but it’s difficult always eating out I definitely haven’t been eating as much veggies as I should Ramen & K-Drama is my perfect relaxation technique Over the next couple days, I continue unpacking gradually I choose you to become the next ‘random bags’ drawer The room can also be divided in the middle My living room was a maze of boxes for a day But I cleared most of them out And of course, I had to set up my projector against the wall I am so grateful to be moved in finally This whole process lasted over a month I think the hardest part was the unknown because for a good chunk of it, I just had no idea where I was gonna move to I’ve never had an apartment that had a view where I can look out Cause my other apartments in the past were 1st or 2nd floor apartments, so not much of a view But now I can kinda look out It is a lot smaller than my other place, but I kind of like that, because at my other place it was so big that every time I came home I would do kung fu when I go around the corners just in case someone was hiding every time I came home But now, as soon as I open the door, I can see if someone’s in here which of course there wouldn’t be, but I have irrational fears This vlog has been a long time coming Not gonna lie, it was tough editing and filming and getting it all out Now that I’m back on track, looking forward to making more vlogs Bye~
I finally moved!! This process took over a month and there was a lot of uncertainty but I love my new apartment and I’m so glad I have a place to call home again~ Not gonna lie doing all this in the June Tokyo heat was an out-of-body experience but thank you for waiting xoxo
