I Solo Traveled to Japan’s Weirdest Mountain
[Music] i need to slow down my spending [Music] so just going to enjoy this view for a little bit more and just wait for my taxi to arrive and then go to mountain [Music] we arrived here at Mount Man i’m sorry about this cuz I forgot the name mount i don’t know if you can see behind me got the little chairs so I’m going to go up on one i am a bit of scared of heights but it should be all right we got to go so nice let me show you what I’m looking at right now [Music] [Music] so we’ve got an ongoing announcement keep saying strong wings and it’s very risky to use the cable cars right now i think that’s why no one’s going up at the moment but they’re allowing you to go down it’s crazy to think that at one point look at this view [Music] the view from the top of the mountain was so good so I’ve walked over to the bus stop which is like a 10-minute walk from Mount Omuru and now I am in this park which is literally right next to it and it’s it’s so pretty like there’s so many nice places out here been spending a fair bit of money hey like today I spent like 4,400 yen at their onen and then I caught a a taxi to mount a model which cost me about 3,600 yen spent 2500 yen on lunch the chairlift cost me a,000 yen so I probably spent like 12,000 yen it’s about $120 actually more cuz the train cost me like I think $1,500 yen so I’ve spent like 130 bucks just today alone i was hoping for $1,000 to last me 2 weeks it’s not going so well and then I’m catching a shinken in two days which is going to send me back at least another hundred and something yeah it’s going to be insane cuz I think I budgeted between like maybe three to $4,000 that’s about $400,000 yeah to last me for 6 weeks it’s about $600 AUD a week we’re coming close to that and it’s only been 2 days here i’ve also like booked I think 4 weeks of accommodation so I still have two weeks to book so I need cash man i need to slow down my spending
apparently this is a cherry blossom park so you can see by the map but um no cherry blossoming at this time of year [Music] i waited for the bus and there were like four other people also waiting for the bus and the bus came and it was packed um so the bus driver just apologized and said there’s nothing I can do i mean I didn’t understand him but kind of seemed like he was you know saying I’m sorry and just kept driving so I looked on the maps and the next bus wasn’t for like another hour so I decided to walk to the station cuz the views that you get bloody amazing e being surrounded by so much beauty it’s just so bloody amazing and yeah you know you get the the occasional cars driving past but um you get to hear the birds branches falling down it’s very serene especially with the view of the mountain it’s it’s majestic let’s continue on with our trip so I made it to Isukan Station train should come in like 5 10 minutes and I’m just going to start making my way back to the Airbnb man i should just walk for like another 15 minutes back to the station i’m not that tired but I know I should just catch a train get home eat dinner there and maybe just crash out i should start editing as well because I don’t want to like be overwhelmed with like 400 gigs of footage and then I’m just like I don’t want to edit this but this is probably going to be heaps windy by the way but we’ll see [Music] [Music] yes finally [Music] all right well let’s see what my dreams have in store for me tonight
This is the second part of my second day in the Shizuoka, I travelled to the Ito region and visited Mt Omuro, I then checked out Sakura no sato park, before making my way back to my AirBnb in Shimoda, Shizuoka.
Not going to lie, I did a lot of walking this day.
I hope you enjoy this video, and gives you some insight of the sights you can see if you were to travel to this part of Japan.
