Lesser Known Nakasendo Trail: Yabuhara to Narai | Quiet Japan Walk

I’m sharing a quiet walk along the lesser-known Nakasendo Trail — from Yabuhara to Narai.

Instead of the popular Magome-Tsumago route, we chose this peaceful 6 km trail via Toritoge Pass to avoid the crowds and enjoy the forest in solitude. We explored this hidden part of Nagano using the JR East Pass — and it felt like we had the trail all to ourselves.
