stop disrespecting japan seriously every week it feels like another story a drunk tourist wanted to visit a temple at 6:00 in the morning dancing in the middle of shibuya like it’s disneyland japan for these foreign tourists is a theme park some recent comments i received westerners especially americans tend to see the rest of the world as some holiday playground it does make sense considering a lot westerners have intu ignorance when it comes to the rest of the war are brutally honest in japanese’s point of view they think some tourists are indeed loud messy and disrespectful some think it is getting quite bad the yen is weak and that makes more foreign tourists going to japan some other think that japan has over tourism because tourism is concentrated in a select few cities the public perception of tourists as a whole is more negative speaking of social rules some japanese don’t mind tourists as long as they are not interfering but some other japanese are more critical of foreigners than other japanese if they don’t follow the social rules for those entitled tourists you are ruining for everyone

My dad served in the military & i had the honor of being able to live in Okinawa for 4 years when I was younger. 4 years of my life ill never forget & still yearn to return one day to visit these places I got to enjoy as a child. The architecture, culture, beaches, technical advances, the people, nature & activities; Japan offers not to mention everything else i didn't mention is truly an example of what lacks in the world. They have a sense of unity & their own identity that is offered to the world & I pray people would understand how to not only treat another culture as a guest & visitor but more importantly as decent humans. The Japanese sure do a good job of that, sorry others can't pay the same respects.
Ok, to a degree I get where this guy is coming from, but he may want to find something else to do, as I’m sure no one in America cares! OK, we get it TONY, you hate us rude, dirty Americans, visiting Japan. Maybe you should stop being a tourist in my YouTube feed then lol… Coming all up into my feed whining and complaining about tourists is stupid!
Protect Japan, if you go please take care to be kind and fit in. I would love to visit and have taken the time to educate myself… we all should when we travel.
Visited Japan recently. Made myself as tiny and respectful as possible. Beautiful place, but I’m Irish- we cannot abide all the rules forever. That’s why I love Japan but would not live there
I've seen plenty of tourists from other countries come to the US and act like complete assholes, so this goes both ways. Don't visit someone's homeland and treat them like they're the outsider. Show some respect or stay home!
I would go there but I wouldn't break rules or get drinking at all, I would rather take in culture.
The people who act like this won't see this or even care. For the rest of us.. we hear you.. and ditto..
Respect people in their home. Easy.
When the yakuza ran the streets you didn’t have these problems 😏
Americans have been conditioned to basically believe we’re the only and best country in the world(LOL). I think it’s sad we have such a hard time humbling ourselves and respecting other cultures and taking the time to learn about a country we’re planning to visit. It’s basic common courtesy.
That's just how they act all the time!!
It's EMBARRASSING! When you visit another country you're an ambassador for your own people. So many times I have not wanted to be recognized as an American.
I don't understand why people keep doing this to Japan. Seriously.
As soon as i can use my passport…. they already messing stuff up smh…
Americans think that when they go to another country it is like an unreal place. So they can act foolish, they can act strange, etc. Can you imagine if another country person came to the US and saw it as a big game?
Been craving Japan…clean, quiet respectful, honest etc
Promise not all Americans are this way. I'm so embarrassed by the behavior of some of my fellow citizens.
Can we get proof that these people are Americans?
Not all of us are wild animals
This is a problem everywhere and it doesn’t even have to be a lot of tourists acting this way to give us all a bad reputation. Americans aren’t the only ones to misbehave but we stand out so it is all the more imperative to be well behaved as our actions not only impact us as individuals but all Americans and even other Westerners.
And just because other Westerners may misbehave as well doesn’t mean that we should. When I was in Europe I found that the British were often ill behaved when in Amsterdam and the beaches of Spain but that doesn’t mean that the locals didn’t notice Americans acting like pricks as well.
That is sad to hear. It has a lot of things I want to learn about the culture, I always wanted to go there myself but never can afford it. Yet certain folks do and mess around too much…
I went to Japan in March. It was beutifull. Completely overcrowded. Too many americans with no sense of personal space, taking pictures of people praying, eating and just going on about their daily lives. I used to live in Venice, so.. I know what it means to have foreigners come in a take over!!
Have no fear friend, I couldn't afford to travel to Japan if I wanted to and would rather not visit a place where I'm not welcome.
As an American who loves visiting Japan, I'm sorry. The country is amazing and i wish everyone would follow your rules and be respectful.
I hear this isn't as much of a problem as it's made out to be
No, the reality is the wealthy and entitled are the kind of people who can be tourists in the first place. People with decency and respect may not be able to afford to travel across the world.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
AI slop. How do so many people fall for this?
These are not regular Americans these are rich elites children who treat everyone like that..they are extremely rude and act like they can do whatever they want..I'm sorry for the ignorance of these people 😢❤
I noticed something about disrespectful tourists that I'm not supposed to notice.
in so many other countries, people always talk about preparing yourself for a trip, learning their customs, and rules, and important phrases, but i almost never hear anybody talk about preparing yourself for a trip to japan, 面白いです
I am ashamed of my fellow Americans for acting in a rude way. If I do visit, I promise to be on my best behavior.
Tourist stay a way from Japan don't spoile another country only the ones who respect Japan they are welcome,,,
Japan being exposed to anti-social western behaviors that are normal in the west.
Just came across your channel. It’s a shame that foreign tourists visiting Japan are causing chaos, confusion, and mayhem for the Japanese people and the country…
Even though you are right, it seems like your channel is built on negativity and misery…
I lived and worked in Japan for 4 years of my life, I loved the people, the culture, and just about everything. So as an American I just want to deeply apologize for my countrymen and women. I just hope that these people stop their clout-chasing nonsense before the reputation of all US citizens is damaged beyond all repair.
Currently minoring in cultural anthropology, and it's clear to see that people view other cultures as secondary to theirs. It’s such a disrespectful thing not to assess a country's cultural expectations before going, so as not to disrespect those cultures inadvertently. A cultural relativistic view would help end these disrespectful practices.
