Ito, Shizuoka Home for Sale with Large Yard and Onsen
hello this is Ron with Risy Sun Properties today we are headed to Shizoka as you can see it’s quite a rainy day but that doesn’t mean we didn’t get some beautiful views like this one here over the bridge this is a home it’s kind of out in the countryside has a big beautiful yard as you can see it’s around Itto City Shizuoka 34.8 million yen one-story 2LDK built in 1976 but newly uh renovated 97 square meters of building 1328 square meters total including the land 17 minute walk to EO Kenan Station and it has uh the ability to have natural onen water pumped into the bath so that’s uh that’s great and a lot of these homes do in the area there is an extra charge for that which I’ll get into here in a minute it does have this large deck that goes all the way across in front so you know great area to read a book hang out there’s a big yard plenty of possibilities this is septic I believe and also uh propane as you can see it has been newly renovated natural oak wood flooring it only has one bathroom so that’s kind of the awkward thing about this house there’s one bathroom toilet on this side of the house and on the other side is the onsen bath with the you know your laundry area and sink back there so that’s a little weird but overall it’s a beautiful house and here’s one of the rooms tatami tatami can probably be replaced although you know it is turnkey style ready to live in right now show you looks great the first video I did have a photo of it shuttered so you can see that all these windows can be shuttered they do slide off from the uh the sides they don’t you know raise up from the top so the older style this is a large deck probably 3 and 1/2 m wide or more actually it’s quite big here’s the kitchen living room dining room so again it’s kind of an awkward build but this would all be in one area the living room dining room does have a new kitchen here’s the door plenty of space for cars if you’re wanting to park you probably fit you know two or maybe even three or four cars in the parking area there are no aircons air conditioning’s currently installed but there are spots for them here’s the dining kitchen they call it a living room it’s just very subjective with the names LDK what you can use for here is the hallway going on to the other side of the room with the second room here didn’t see any water damage anything like that this is an older home so we would definitely want to get an inspection on it but had a very nice feel that you know good combination of Japanese and modern and here on the walls you can see this older style like ‘7s stucco this has not been remodeled so this is what the house originally looked like probably most of it there’s a spot for an aircon it has a hole and electrical outlet already there again the tatami looks aged but has been taken care of and doesn’t need a If you want to up up upgrade it and update it that’s fine but I don’t think it’s necessary here’s the bathroom with the onen so this has the ability to have onen water pumped into it it is about a 3 million yen charge up front and then 600,000 every 10 years there’s a look with me in the tub it’s very deep and has a nice view out into the yard so if you like onsen water and want one in your home this is a a great home to consider here’s a again a look out into the yard it was a rainy day but still pretty picturesque so there is the home in Shizoka if you’re interested in this home it is available if you’re interested in others in the area anywhere in Japan we are a licensed realator and can assist please reach out for a free consultation thank you very much and have a great day
Hello, this is Ron with Rising Sun Properties. The home shown today is tucked away in nature about a 15 min. walk from from Izu Kogen Station near Ito City, Shizuoka. (Although very up hill on the way to the home.)
The asking price is set at 34.8Million Yen. This seems a bit high for this age of home in the area, but it has also been newly renovated. Renovations made in December of 2024 include: Roof repairs, roof/exterior painting, new floors, new toilet and bathtub, system kitchen, wall plaster and wall and ceiling papering.
It has a very lush and large yard with a spacious deck facing the South West overlooking this view as well. It’s modern while keeping the Japanese feel. This home does have septic and propane gas and also a basic water fee of 2,200yen a month and a community association fee of 4,200yen a year.
It does have the option to have onsen water pumped into the bath. To have this ability and connect it would cost you about 3.1million yen up front and 616,000yen every 10 years. That’s a hefty fee, however this is optional and mandatory for purchase.
It’s a bit of a weird layout with the one toilet on one end of the house with the shower and laundry room on the other. The “LDK” (Living, Dinning, Kitchen) is in the middle of the two bedrooms and almost every single room in the house has a view of the yard. Basically you would need to use the dinning and living room together. Or if you’re a couple with just two of you, perhaps you could use the room closer to the bath as the living room and have the main room on the other side.
Overall a good option to consider if it’s in your budget and you want to be away from the city, but still have somewhat quick and easy access, as you can take a train to Atami and then up to Tokyo.

in my country this property would go for over €350k… beautiful!
Perfect for a minimalist or who is into Zen Buddhism. Any furniture would be too much to bear.
seems a bit pricey for what you get. Is it because of the proximity to the train station? The large room sizes are a plus but $20,000 for hookup fees? You might be better off just going to the Onsen.
Great outdoors.
The seller has for sure overpriced this property.
Thanks Ron
That's a huge piece of land, great yard and a great deck too. As for the renovations, it looks like mostly cosmetic improvements, the walls and ceilings are original, just painted over. The floor looks like cedar not oak, still nice though. The doors and windows look original one pane only. What about insulation, probably minimal if any, it must be quite hot in summer. Has it been upgraded to newer earthquake standards?
静岡で、これで34億????書き間違えですよね????🙄
MY DREAM HOME!! How much would it be in Monthly installments?
Very nice, but still too pricey for expats that can’t come up with $241K cash, or get a mortgage from a U.S. bank since it’s overseas. I can get a V.A. loan, but only for Conus properties. Our U.S. FICO means nothing at a J-bank, unless you have a better idea. Love the bath, tho.
