Osaka and Outskirts 大阪市和近郊: Seafood Market, Sushi, Flower Festival 木津市場 芝櫻園 粉蝶花祭 Japan Food & Travel

We are starting our day at the market for a seafood breakfast! This is a cute little shop popular for kaisen-don Every kaisen-don comes with miso soup with a big piece of salmon! The sashimi is so fresh, it’s like tasting the ocean The minced toro looks boring but the taste is gem! After breakfast, we explored inside the market The seafood are delivered here fresh everyday And the price is so affordable My camera starts wobbling cause I was too excited to see these boxes of Uni! This box of Uni was super fresh, sweet, rich and creamy 😋 Getting hangry now as I am editting the video at home… We then took the train to Sanda station And transferred for the bus to Nagasawa Nagasawa is a quiet town, we are visiting for the Shibazakura flowers The garden of Shibazakura is just a few steps from the bus stop The garden here is not that big, but it is now full of Shibazakura They are also called the “pink carpets” It was raining again during our visit But I guess the weather set a quiet and peaceful vibe It was getting chilly, a bowl of hot soba saved the day I had Soba with Vegetables, the first item at the right of the menu If you are tired of the hustle and bustle in the city This could be the place to wind down But if you are looking for something spectacular to show off to your friends Then this might not be the place for you We headed back to the city for a sushi dinner! Glass shrimp sushi and Tuna sushi 🤌 I love sushi bars, they are not only dinner but also a show Mackarel and “Red Big Eye” Scallop and Aji (Luck I jot notes for my sushi…) This was the sea eel, so rich and fatty And the last one was fatty tuna (toro) rolls! 🤤 Today we are going to the Nemophila Festival, for fields of baby blue flowers Like the Shibazakura, the fields are like carpets of flowers but in blue The festival is so close to the sea complimenting the flowers with another shade of blue They have stalls serving food an drinks at the festival, let’s go and see There are okonomiyaki… french fries.. skewers… and my lemonade ice cream This festival is not as quiet as the Shibazakura garden but still not packed with tourists, and much closer to the city We are back in the city at Shin-Saibashi, the touristy shopping street Had fluffy pancakes at the Shiawase no Pancake 🙂 For dinner, we had the classic Unadon (eel with rice) at the Umeda area And some photo shots herebefore finishing the video 📸

Here goes another video of my trip at Kansai Japan!

This is not our first time at Osaka, so we spent our trip at less touristy spots for a more genuine experience! Seafood breakfast at the Kizu Market (’cause Kuromon is too touristy and pricey…), Shibazakura fields at the rural area of Nagazawa, Sushi Dinner at the city, Nemophila Flower Festival…
