【神戸】傘なしで大正解のひとり旅!梅雨の神戸・空中散歩と癒しの動物園| 須磨浦公園・神戸どうぶつ王国【1日目】

Hello everyone! This is the Tokushima Expressway Service Area Bus Stop. I’m heading to Kobe for a girls’ get-together this time. Yes, it’s the usual “Genki Club.” Time to board the highway bus (*’▽’) Rain is hitting the front windshield. Full-on rain goddess mode. Even if I forget lunch, I hope I brought an umbrella? Don’t narrate like a bus tour guide! It’s been raining in all recent Shiyoler channel videos. It’s a gamble whether I can sightsee without an umbrella. Too much of a gamble! Hey! There’s even a pachinko video from last year! There’s Hotel AZ. I heard their prices have gone up recently. Breakfast is now 880 yen. My husband went ahead and had breakfast alone, and apparently the menu changed. Being able to eat from 6 a.m. is great—it helps with an early start. This highway bus picked me up at Itano Stop, and is heading to Kobe. So where will I get off? I’ll get off at Kosoku Maiko. First time getting off there—so excited! Sometimes traffic jams occur after Kosoku Maiko, so if you’re flying from Kobe Airport, it’s better to get off at Kosoku Maiko and take the train to Sannomiya. Let’s get off and check it out. Oh! The rain has stopped before I noticed. That’s great! Looks like I can sightsee without an umbrella. Though the view might be a bit gloomy. Well, it is the rainy season—can’t be helped. It’s neither hot nor cold, and less risk of sunburn—there are perks! In the rainy season, it’s all about staying positive! Arrived at Kosoku Maiko Bus Stop. I usually ride to Osaka, so that felt quick! Here’s what the Kosoku Maiko stop looks like. It’s right before the Honshu end of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. You can transfer to JR Maiko Station or Sanyo Railway Maiko Koen Station, but give yourself plenty of time for the walk. There’s no ticket office, machine, or shop at this stop. For buses heading to Kobe or Osaka (inbound), you can’t board at Kosoku Maiko. For buses going to Awaji Island or Shikoku (outbound),
you can’t get off here. It feels different from regular highway bus stops—kind of curious, right? No way you could make a last-minute dash to the bus. Totally impossible! It’s way too far to the expressway itself. Going further down and walking through the passage— you’ll find a junction for TIO Maiko, JR Line, and Sanyo Railway. Today, I’m heading to the Sanyo Railway. You can also pass through TIO Maiko to get to Sanyo Railway. There are local facilities like a supermarket, post office, and eateries. I’ve arrived at Sanyo Maiko Koen Station. It took some time to get here from the bus stop. I walked at a relaxed pace. If you rush and tumble, you might break a bone! Hey there! (*´з`) Now heading to Sumaura Koen Station via Sanyo Railway. Arrived at Sumaura Koen Station. They’re mowing the grass right now. Heading up to Sumaura Sanjo Amusement Park. I may not get the amazing view I hoped for— but sightseeing without an umbrella is the best! Even on the edge of a cliff, I’ll manage somehow! Sumaura Ropeway operates two types of gondolas: “Umihiko” and “Yamahiko.” The one I’m on now is “Umihiko.” This ropeway opened in 1957 (Showa 32), and was fully renovated in March 2021. It’s 466 meters long with a height difference of 180 meters. It runs every 15 minutes and takes about 3 minutes one-way. I bought a value set ticket. It includes access to the ropeway, car lift, and observation tower. It’s a combined ticket for Ropeway, Car Lator, and Tenbo-kaku (observation tower). Arrived at the Hachibuse summit station. Next, I’ll check out the East Observation Deck above the Car Lator station. It’s not raining, but what about the view? It’s that rainy-season kind of shocking whiteness. Like a detergent commercial! I’ve arrived at the Car Lator station. Huh? It’s not moving though… A staff member just came out. Looks like they only operate it when there are passengers. It’s super shaky—yeah, I feel it in my back. Sorry it’s hard to tell through the camera. Might not be suitable for those with back pain. Got off the intense ride—not great for back pain! Please subscribe to the channel! Next is the Sumaura Sightseeing Lift, but it’s closed today. Oh, that’s a shame. The last time I rode a lift was at Mt. Tsurugi in Tokushima—oh well. Let’s enjoy the view while we walk. The hydrangeas are beautiful! It’s lucky to see seasonal flowers. Maybe I’ll win the lottery (*’▽’) That’s not how it works! Here’s the rotating observation tower. Since the lift is closed, I’ll rest here to kill some time. Didn’t feel like it was rotating at first… But once seated—ah yes, I can tell it’s moving. So, it’s not spinning like a thrill ride. It’s not an amusement park attraction! Now I’m on the rooftop of the rotating observation tower. Isn’t this “shocking whiteness” perfect for sightseeing? Hey! That’s the Sea Fishing Park. And you can see Suma Kaihin Park too. Not just the shocking whiteness—there’s a decent view too. From Settsu Station, where the sightseeing lift is closed today, all the way to Harima Station over there— it looks like a good ride. I’ll save it for next time. It started raining while I was on the rooftop observation deck, so time to move on. It’s really coming down now. But from here on, no umbrella needed—thank goodness. The uploader is so obsessed with not using an umbrella, it’s funny. (-_-;) The final descent was super shaky. A real blow to the lower back! Glad I don’t have back problems! Next up is the ropeway again. The ropeway runs every 15 minutes. I could’ve boarded right away, but it was crowded—
so I waited for the next one. I’m not an auntie, okay? (-_-;) Yeah, you totally are. They collected the ticket when I got off the ropeway,
so I panicked a bit. I thought I could just show the ticket and keep it as a souvenir. Glad I didn’t throw it away. Since it’s raining hard now, I’m heading somewhere
I can enjoy sightseeing without an umbrella. There’s still quite a bit of time until hotel check-in. The hotel is in Sannomiya, so I chose somewhere I could visit and quickly head back—
heading toward Kobe Airport. This is Kobe Animal Kingdom—
formerly known as Kobe Kachoen. Get off at the “Keisan Kagaku Center” station on the Port Liner,
and it’s right in front of you. Oh—still refusing to use an umbrella! Correct! I bought a combo ticket that includes entrance + Port Liner fare at the Port Liner Sannomiya Station. They only accepted cash though. I researched beforehand, but I must’ve forgotten. That shoebill wasn’t moving— but it reacted to a guest’s stuffed toy! Wow, such a clever trick! Is that something you really need in daily life though?
So funny! That tiger’s pretty close! Speaking of which, the uploader’s tabby cat— just had a birthday, right? 12 years old! Go for it—aim to become a cat god! That’s “Pompa-kun” from Hitachi, right? No way, totally different! Only people who remember the early ’70s
would even get that reference. At Kobe Animal Kingdom, there are animals above and below—
it’s super fun! You might miss some animals if you’re not careful. It’s kind of fun to go hunting for them. The “shocking whiteness” fits the rainy travel mood. Wow! Perfect for a sanshin snakeskin pattern! Hey, don’t say such mean things! We just visited Hebikubo Shrine in January for the Year of the Snake— and now we’re getting cursed?! No way—maybe if we pray, our luck will improve! Could be, could be. It’s a weekday, but it’s crowded—
and there’s a long line for the events. Some families were even arguing over whether to line up. It’s tough when things get tense during outings. I even saw a dad saying it’s a waste of time to wait in line. The Pallas’s cat got a cat punch earlier, but— this one’s totally relaxed. Ahh… pure peace. Since it was crowded, I looked for quieter areas— and ended up walking around twice. Because of the rain, they probably didn’t hold outdoor events. That’s possible.
But I’ve enjoyed enough—time to head out. No umbrella needed from the station,
and I could explore without worrying about the rain. Top-tier experience! Please subscribe to the channel! It’s pouring outside now. Now it’s just a matter of getting to the hotel. I want to get there using an umbrella as little as possible. You’re like the Umbrella-Hating Overlord. Toyoko Inn Kobe Sannomiya Ekimae is just outside the Sannomiya Station underground exit. For the hotel review, check the video linked in the description. Please take a look! In the end, I didn’t use an umbrella at all! Nobody needs to hear you bragging about that. Toyoko Inn Kobe Sannomiya Ekimae—Premium Plus Room. This Toyoko Inn location was, among all my previous stays, the most comfortable yet. Air purifier included. It’s a Premium Plus Room with ReFa brand amenities. Also, having no guests in the rooms on either side probably helped make it peaceful. That’s the biggest factor. It really affects how relaxing your stay is. The shower head was ReFa, but— the water pressure felt a bit weak. Don’t play with the hotel amenities! Okay~ (*’▽’) The next morning, I stayed until just before the 10 a.m. checkout— and then headed out. That’s all for this video. If this no-umbrella sightseeing guide was helpful, please give it a like! If you’re looking forward to the next video, please subscribe to the channel. See you in the next video! Thank you for watching! See ya!
