good bye Hokkaido – Hirosaki here i come (#006)
good morning guys it’s uh actually an early morning 700 a.m in Hakodate and this is actually the first time I have any breakfast booked so far i always had breakfast from 7-Eleven uh Family Mart Lawson whatever and uh now I’m super curious what the actual Japanese uh breakfast will look i mean I don’t expect like a hotel you know five-star hotel stuff because this is a regular you know hotel but uh yeah let’s go and find out of us yeah thank you you’re welcome okay okay so actually I made a mistake i took two eggs and they were actually raw i was expecting they already cooked i cracked this on my um on my hand and it went all over the plate what they do is they take rice steam pot and you put the egg inside i’ll try now there you go you have a rice omelette nice [Music] all right so let’s go on my way now to Aluri Prefecture um to Hiroaki to be exact i will also spend there one full day explore our Mori so yeah it’s about time to leave for Kaido [Music] yeah I think I have to buy a ticket here cuz I don’t I don’t know if you actually let me check today no uh I uh No itchy [Music] okay hiroaki all right so basically uh from the main station I have to go to Shinodate which is like the kind of the where I go to the uh Shinkansen or like the uh inter original uh trains and from there to uh Almori and then from Almori to Hiroaki yeah this one this where we have to go shinakurate hi so I just arrived at Hakodishin which is where we transition to the or changed the the train to uh to mainland Japan and what I noticed is here are definitely far far more tourists than compared to the other uh parts in Hokkaido where I was until now so yeah there’s definitely an influx of tourists as passengers [Applause] made my way to the platform and this is the famous Shikanszan she did a very cool tint yeah like this uh I don’t know neon green pink bought myself some guana um I thought since I’m here I try this one looks like Coca-Cola but I’m not sure what it is i will just try it out very good um actually tastes like like bubble gum syrup dish soda something like that but not bad as I said earlier uh the tourist situation is definitely bigger so there are definitely way way more foreigners and tourists from what I saw and funny thing is like I saw five or six of those tourists I already saw in in Hokkaido so I feel like I I do just the basic pitch uh uh traveler trail through Japan but I will see in the next couple days I will uh I will visit different places and I expect not so much tourists than maybe uh I saw uh like in Osaka or so but uh I’m not sure you know so we will see because actually I also already thought here there are not that many tourists but actually at the Shinkansen hubs you definitely see much more tourists now yeah and it happened to be all of them are Dutch or Belgian Belgium belgium from from uh from Netherlands or from Belgium the trains already arriving the speed of those Shinkansen might be uh actually very impressive but you can’t convince me that this doesn’t look like a driving sex toy on some rails okay so I need to go car 8 seat 19E oh this is car 8 let me check my seat oh perfect it’s just It’s just here that’s so perfect oh that’s so cool finally finally a plug i actually can walk here that’s good that’s very good we finally made it to Ali’s Shin and yeah now we transition to the next one and afterwards I think I have to transition to the bus and then I hope I should be finally there in Yosaki since I have a huge luggage with me and I’m a lazy i don’t want to drag it down the um the stairs so thank God I found the elevator [Music] there you go already here that’s where we’re heading so finally we’re here in the beautiful town of Hiroaki uh I just spent uh some time in public train because I don’t know they stopped and now we finally here and uh I still need to kill some time until I can check in which is like 3:00 p.m so can proceed it’s okay so uh yeah I will probably eat something and uh let’s see what I’ll do maybe sit in a cafe or something to chill [Music] actually this prefecture is uh famous for lanterns and apples that’s a big ass apple so I decided I will go eat something first and yeah that’s where I’m heading right now it’s like I found a nice restaurant let’s see how good the food is and uh yeah actually Hiroaki the vibe is kind of different especially when it comes to weather here it’s definitely much much hotter that’s the place so let’s find some good food uh Ah okay okay okay [Music] [Music] so after a very nice meal which was also very very affordable um it was like 600 then which is like4 less than €4 that was a really good meal was udon noodles with uh with some sauce and some veggies and some meat very very good also I I love the small shop with the auntie cooking yeah definitely a cool shop yeah and you can barely find it you know i just stumbled upon this actually I decided to walk the 20 minutes uh to the uh hostel because I could either sit around wait for a bus uh and then afterwards I have to walk anyway so this will also to uh take 20 20 minutes or you can just take a walk and also uh take 20 20 minutes and by that uh time I can also take a look uh around the city you know you can just see how the city looks uh actually I like the the I don’t know i don’t I kind of like the the setup of the city i do think that you know if you want to see how regular people live in countries don’t go to the capital cities because the capital cities are mostly very flashy you know there’s governmental stuff so of course it’s the it’s the price tag of the country or like the the the how to say the pre the the presentation of the country so mostly capitals are always tidy flashy except Berlin of course and uh yeah that’s why that’s why I uh like to go to countryides as well or rural areas because there you see how you know regular people live or how it looks for them you know that’s just my two cents about that so I think I still need to walk another 50 minutes until I’m there but that’s fine because uh I cannot check in yet anyway since I have to wait until 3:00 p.m so I can just take my time you know i don’t have to rush and then I will be arriving hopefully close to 3 pm and I’m in desperate need for a shower as always on travel days
Today i continued making my way to Tokyo and heading to the next stop on the route – Hirosaki. Hirosaki is a small town in the Aomori prefecture, which is known for its lantern festival and also very delicious apples. Watch me leaving behind Hokkaido prefecture and making my way to Hirosaki. On the way to the hostel i also had some very, very tasty food in a super original small japenese shop. As always, hope u enjoy and like / subscribe for more 🙂
