The Auberge looked lovely, did you overnight there ? If yes, can you share some details about the location ?
The french food you had there looked good. Its not very modern (especially not the terrinne, which is really out of fashion), but it looks quite authentic. No problem at all with the bread ! Use it without cutlery to scoop up the sauce. To use cutlery here, would be very strange.
Hola Espana ! The spanish meal looked good as well, but sometimes not very authentic. Caprese is of course from Italy and not from Spain. The tortilla looked like there are no potatoes in it. No spaniard will drink sangria with a fine meal. And the paella might have been tasty, but it looked really not authentic. But I guess as long as it was tasty and you enjoyed it, thats okay. So lets just say, that it was a spanish influenced dinner :-).
I love Shabu Shabu, and this one looked good.
For the last meal: For me, Nepali and Indian cuisine is mostly vegetarian. What was really strange, is the shish kebab. Thats definitely not on menus in restaurants in Kathmandu ! This is Türkiye, and other countries, but not Nepal ! Palak Paneer is one of my favorites from this part of the world, but its strange to see some grated cheese (which is not paneer) on top of it. But again, if you liked it, there is nothing to complain about.
Besides eating, is there anything to see and discover in Karuizawa ?
