First S-Class Private Room Ferry Trip🚢 Osaka to Fukuoka | Meimon Taiyo Ferry Fukuoka

This video is… the requested ferry review. Hello, this is Taiyaki🐟 How are you all doing? I’m currently heading to the port in Osaka to board the ferry. This time, I’ll be reviewing the ferry as requested by viewers in the comments. Thank you to everyone who left comments! Ferry Terminal Station I’m heading toward Exit 2. The signs make it easy to find. This is the “Osaka Nanko Ferry Terminal.” First, go down to the first floor to check in. The inside looks like this. The Meimon Taiyo Ferry I’m boarding this time And there is the Orange Ferry reception desk I’m looking forward to riding this Orange Ferry on the way back, by the way This time, I made a reservation online and already had a QR code, so I didn’t need to go through the ticket issuing procedure. This is the ship I’m taking this time, the “Ferry Fukuoka.” Gross tonnage: 15,025 tons, length: 195 m
beam: 27.8 m I arrived at the waiting room. Today is a weekday, so it looks like there are a lot of empty seats, but later on, tour groups arrived and it became crowded. Check in and board the ship! Cars are being loaded onto the ship. The time before boarding is exciting! The seagull greets us. The interior of the ship looks like this. It’s not a very large ship, but it has a bright and stylish design. I received the room key. This time, I stayed in a private room called First S. The price was 9,770 yen when booked online. I also bought some food today. 😛 This is my room this time. Ta-da! This is my first time using a private room on a ferry. Disposable slippers. They’re a bit thick. Pajamas (one-piece type) Comforter The pillow has different materials on the front and back Low-resilience Pot Tea set No smoking Desk lamp and power outlet The desk is pretty spacious TV and two hangers Washing area in the room Hand soap This water is drinkable Cup Toothbrush Logoed towel The fabric is thin, but it’s nice to have it. Under the bed… There is a life jacket. I hope we never have to use it. By the way, there was no internet connection in the room. There is also Wi-Fi on board, but it has restrictions and may not work depending on the location at sea, so it’s best not to expect too much. Let’s take a look at other facilities on board. This is a shop. They sell instant noodles, snacks, and other food and drinks, so it’s like a small convenience store. The prices are a little higher than at a convenience store. Amenities such as towels are also sold here. It seems that a towel rental service has also recently started. Other amenities The Orange Ferry is also docked next door. The city of Osaka at night It’s almost time to depart. I like this Now, the about 12-hour journey begins Suddenly, another ship collides with ours What the hell are you doing? Stop bumping into us! You fool! Just as I was thinking that, it collided again, so I realized that this is how you quickly rotate the ship. It wasn’t a fool after all. 🤭 When the work was done, they left. Thank you 🥰 Bye-bye 👋 I’m getting hungry, so I’m going back inside. There is also a restaurant on board. However, this time I will eat what I bought at the convenience store in my room. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba I bought this time (500 yen) To accompany it, Oi Ocha tea Okonomiyaki on top. Yakisoba noodles underneath It’s a carbohydrate paradise. There is no refrigerator in this class of room. If you need to keep something cold, you’ll have to book a Deluxe Class or higher. While eating, there was an announcement saying the Expo venue was visible, so I rushed outside. You can see the Expo’s wooden ring. There’s nothing particularly impressive about the view from here. 🤔 lol This ship also has a bath. There is also information about towel rentals here. 400 yen This bath area cannot be photographed, so I will show you the introduction video that was playing on the TV in the room. The bath looks like this. I think it’s quite large for a ship’s bath. The men’s and women’s baths seem to have the same design. By the way, there is also a separate shower room. The water pressure is perfect. Sorry, I missed filming the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge while I was in the bath. 😢 We just passed under this. Vending machine corner. Cup noodles and ice cream are also available. Chocolate mint is a controversial flavor. I like it. Why do some people dislike it? There is also a microwave here. Making takoyaki Chopsticks are free Takoyaki is ready Beer bought at the shop It has a wide mouth. I like it because the beer tastes even better. Cheers! I was surprised at how delicious the frozen takoyaki from the convenience store was. The octopus is small. Put the octopus back. Come to think of it, the takoyaki on the Jumbo Ferry the other day was also delicious. Snacks 313 calories 😢 Cute There’s chocolate inside, and it’s delicious How strange. This frog turns snack into money The toothbrush looks like this. It comes with toothpaste too. I’ll show you some other places I couldn’t film earlier because it was too crowded. Kids’ area Lockers for valuables Paid Lockers Game Corner TV Lounge Next to it are vending machines and a water dispenser Please note that alcoholic beverages cannot be purchased from the vending machine after 11:00 p.m. Restroom The lid doesn’t open automatically, but there is a washlet. The restroom is as clean as a hotel’s, which is surprising. The sea at night is pitch black and impossible to see. It feels like I might be sucked into the sea, it’s scary. I can see the lights of the city in the distance. I guess it’s time to sleep… By the way, this is what it looks like when you lie down. There’s no feeling of oppression. Well, good night 😴 Good morning ☀️ The mattress is average in terms of comfort. The pillow was a bit too low for me. The one thing I didn’t like was that the walls were thin and I could hear the people next door. One of the best things about traveling by ferry is being able to see the beautiful sea at the start of the day. We’re now in the Yamaguchi Prefecture area. We’ll be arriving soon. Breakfast is a buffet at the restaurant (800 yen. Cheap!). There’s already a line when it opens. By the way, you can also eat the food you brought with you in this space. After waiting a little while, I finally got into the restaurant. Here’s what I got this time. Fish that were in the sea just a week ago Now it’s going into my stomach In other words, you never know what will happen in life Dessert The breakfast buffet didn’t have a lot of variety, but the food was average tasty. ⚾️🎊 It’s almost time to disembark. Lastly, I return the key. Arrival at Shinmoji Port, Fukuoka Prefecture I like watching this After disembarking from this ship, take the free shuttle bus parked over there Bye-bye 👋 Thank you My impression of this room is that “the walls are thin, but it’s good that it’s a private room with a lock.” There’s not much price difference with the Comfort Class one level below, so I think the First S is a good value option. The bus departs fairly soon after boarding, so be careful not to miss it. There is a decent amount of legroom. There is no toilet. The bus heads to Kokura Station in Fukuoka Prefecture. It takes about 45 minutes by bus from Shin-Moji Port to Kokura Station. Arrival at Kokura Station. That’s all for this video.

Until the next video, I wish you all the best! Eat vegetables!٩( ᐛ )و

I traveled from Osaka to Fukuoka on the First S-Class of the Meimon Taiyo Ferry “Fukuoka”.

The walls in the room were quite thin, so I could hear the voices of people next door — which wasn’t great. However, I appreciated that the door could be locked for privacy.
