Hiking Fuji-San Overnight To See The Sunrise / Quiet Japan Vlog

My experience hiking Mt. Fuji Overnight to see the sunrise with my friends last July. ♡

Here are some tips and things to know if you want to hike Fuji-San

– Do not climb outside of the hiking season: from early July to early December
– As of 2025, the hiking fee to enter the hike is 4000 yen
– Make sure to pack accordingly, bring proper hiking shoes, rain gear, layers for the cold and plenty of snacks and water.
– Bring a lot of 100 yen coins: you’ll need them for toilets, snacks and stamps.
– If you plan to hike overnight, you must book a hut in advance. (We booked this one: https://tomoekan.com/plan/english/)
– Choose your trail in advance: we hiked the Yoshida Trail
– Listen to your body during the hike, you know yourself best, it’s okay to turn around if you feel sick
– Do not litter and be respectful to people during your hike
– Make sure to book your bus in advance, as the Tokyo/Fuji route is very busy.
– Plan enough time to hike back. Due to the bad weather, we reached the summit later than expected, and it took longer to return to the 5th station. We almost missed our bus.

Spoiler: We didn’t see the sunrise, but the sunset was amazing!
