도쿄여행에 ‘하코네’ 꼭 추가하세요 제발요.
Hello. This is Kim City. Today, I’m planning to go to the favorite city that everyone talks about, ‘Hakone.’ First of all, the journey should start from Shinjuku Station. It’s the place where many trains begin. At first, I was unsure whether to get the Hakone Free Pass or not. But you absolutely have to get it. I’ll explain it in more detail later. It’s definitely a great deal. At the start of the train journey, you definitely need to buy an ekiben for yourself. The weather is really nice for the first time in a while, so we’re starting off in a good mood. Here’s a small tip: if you’re heading from Shinjuku to Hakone, make sure to sit on the right side to enjoy a wonderful view of Mount Fuji. Alright, let’s play today’s BGM and get going. Ta-da, when you can see Mount Fuji like this, it means you’re almost there. As soon as I arrived, I could feel that Hakone Station had a different atmosphere. When you go to places like Gangwon-do or Gangneung, the quality of the air and sunlight feels different, and I felt that way. We couldn’t find our way, so we went up to the second floor, but as soon as you get off this platform and run over here, we have a shuttle service that sends this luggage to the ryokan you reserved. So instead of going up like me, it’s better to line up here as soon as you get off. (Japanese small-town vibe bursting) A Korean person passing by exclaimed in admiration about the romantic atmosphere and continued on their way. Also, the Hakone Free Pass doesn’t mean everything is free, so you need to pay attention to the bus routes as well. Driving at a fast speed on such a narrow winding road is a bit thrilling, and when buses meet, they have to yield to each other and carefully back up to pass each other. Hello, this is Kim City. This is ‘Togendai’. It’s a very important station in Hakone. You can take the cable car back and forth here, and it’s the Togendai Station that everyone passes through at least once. We actually planned to leave our luggage at the hotel after arriving at Hakone Station and then explore a bit before checking in, but it turns out the hotel needs to have a reservation. Anyway, I was worried today, but the weather is so nice, and when we arrived at Hakone Station, it was just bursting with romance. So, I’m really looking forward to this trip. Please keep an eye on how we will make this trip fun! Let’s go! We started our journey from a bit of an ambiguous point, and since we didn’t know what to do, we asked the guide, who kindly helped us plan a course based on the current situation. They even advised us in real-time about whether we could see Mount Fuji while riding the gondola and which side to sit on for the best view. Now, let’s go ride the gondola. The pirate ship visible in the distance is something I’ll ride tomorrow. (It will be in the next video!) (The person who is excited to ride with just one other person) There aren’t many people going up right now, maybe because the timing is a bit off. So, whether you turn right or left, there is indeed a designated Hakone course. However, I also recommend that you create your own path and experience a tranquil course as you think it should be. As you climb up feeling the nature between the closely packed trees, before you know it, you can see Mount Fuji on your left. This video explains it. You absolutely must not drive here. As you go along, you start to see visuals that look like you’ve arrived on Mars, and this is actually a natural hot spring. The sight of sulfur gases rising like that is truly unique. Also, the air itself had a slight smell of boiled eggs, giving it a feeling similar to a natural volcano. On that day, perhaps because we were at the mountain peak, the wind was blowing really hard, which is not usually the case. The day we went was particularly severe, and I heard that for the rope lift, they sometimes stop operations if the wind is too strong. I hope you check the wind conditions carefully while traveling. (A paper doll without a face) (Talking about Mount Fuji, right?) And we definitely have to try the famous black eggs from the hot springs here. Take out the volcanic egg Is it warm? / It’s hot~ It’s not just 5,000 won for nothing. That’s an old-school style, haha. What are the benefits of sulfur eggs for the body? They’re good for gas, especially for strong-smelling gas. It seems like the egg smells stronger? Or maybe not, I’m just bluffing. It’s the same, it’s just a regular egg. Boiled eggs go well with cider. Do you know the Mugunghwa train? Haha The design is so pretty. – It’s vintage. Melted candy bar flavor I’ll know when I try it The taste of melted candy bar, haha So, taking advantage of this opportunity, I also tried taking a photo with Mount Fuji in the background while wearing shorts and drinking soda. And of course, it’s a souvenir shop at the travel destination. I’ll take a look around. It was a shop where everything was character-themed with black eggs, featuring black egg rabbits, black egg bears, and all the animals hidden inside black eggs. (Let’s go down now!) (I bought a Hakone city badge) (Can’t miss the ropeway photo spot) (In a meeting about the next course… perfect P’s..) We were on the bus and thought of a really cool hill we encountered, so we searched for it on Google and decided to go check it out. (The way there is also surrounded by nature… it’s healing.) (On Google, Sengokuhara Susuki Grass Fields) (cute police car) (to avoid disturbing the natural colors, the Lawson sign is in monochrome) The plain stretches out wide This place really felt like it was not part of the real world, as if my heart was completely opened. Let’s quietly appreciate it for a moment. Ice cream! (There’s an ice cream shop right nearby) (Catshyongni) Be sure to carry cash when traveling to small towns. It’s mugwort! Honey rice cake Is it mugwort? / Yes (A taste that makes you shout ‘Hooray’) (It’s a bit sad to leave, but let’s stop here) Now, since the timing is a bit awkward, I headed back to the accommodation to unpack my things and save some energy for tomorrow’s schedule. (Missed the bus and waited for 30 minutes ㅠㅠ) This is the perfect timing for a like!! This is the ryokan we reserved. Since it’s my first time visiting Hakone and staying at a ryokan, I was really curious about what the conditions would be like, but it seems like we got lucky with our accommodation. At this time, the weather was a bit bad with fog, but I could see Mount Fuji in that direction. I will definitely show it to you tomorrow morning. Hakone is really nice. I didn’t know what to expect, but my first impression is very good. I just came from the hot springs, and I feel all my fatigue washed away. As a tip, I should mention that the transportation in Hakone isn’t that great. The transportation is a bit inconvenient, so I have to wait for the bus, but the bus intervals are a bit long. It seems that if you want to be taken to a restaurant from this ryokan or go to a convenience store, they will take you there as well. For those things, you should check the timetable and make sure to confirm that when you make a reservation, so you can explore Hakone more comfortably. And so, the first day of the Hakone trip comes to an end. I will wrap it up with this beer incident featuring Yan. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has watched up to this point. In the next episode, I will introduce a more magnificent pirate ship and more fun activities, so I kindly ask you to subscribe and like. Thank you. This was Kim City.
