we’re a full-time travel couple from the UK we are currently in osaka in Japan and we’ve started 
off probably at the most busiest mental street you can imagine donguri and look what’s in front 
of us straight away the running man so we’re going to explore this area get the picture obviously 
we got to get the picture of the running man   the most famous picture here and try some street 
food see what’s about and see what this city is about we’ve only been here one day so we don’t 
actually know but there’s over like 8 million   people living here so it is still a quite a big 
city a very big city you think in comparison to cities in the UK it would be the biggest city yeah 
mental here loads and loads of street food to try   looking forward to it i love seafood loads of 
seafood so it’s going to be mainly about food today so let’s go so I actually expected it to 
be a lot busier but it actually ain’t that bad so we’ve come down by the water bit to get the 
picture in front of it a lot of people getting   up there but I think it’s definitely better down 
here so we’re in a bit of a queue for a picture obviously you got to do what he’s doing so Rian’s 
got to be doing that right so there’s still like people taking pictures they will take pictures all 
day long this is one of the most popular tourist   attractions in the whole city so that is actually 
a advertisement for a billboard of a candy company back in 1935 and it caught so much attention that 
it’s still here today and people like literally there’s not been a second where people aren’t 
taking pictures and doing all doing the same   thing here is the main walking street this is 
where it’s known for all the famous food we’ve got loads of free boards so you know where to eat 
fish what’s this crab oh it’s moving as well wow but it’s proper busy it’s a very hot day today as 
well it’s a lovely day we’ve been graced with some   lovely weather it’s not too hot though it’s like 
nice weather to walk around in but look at this this is mental we got the 3D designs billboards 
lighting up so many videos going on we got like an arcade there’s so many western tourists 
here as well like in in Tokyo you saw pockets of tourists here it’s just they’re absolutely 
everywhere well I think we need some food i’m   really hungry it is 3:00 in the evening we like 
to get out a bit late we like to get out a bit later because things don’t really go on we like 
to see the day blend in tonight don’t we yeah sure yeah this it’s it’s sort of like the afterwork 
sort of period when it actually starts getting   busy i didn’t actually expect it to be this busy 
straight away but hopefully as as the night goes on it will get busier and busier so we’ve done 
the whole road we like to scope out scope out scope out scope out i think it is scope out scope 
out what’s good and we’ve got right to the end as   you can see here and we’ve seen some wagger beef 
for 500 so we’re going to try some we can’t go to Japan and not try a famous beef look 500 that one 
yeah right it’s well hot grilling it on the grill and then we got a blow torch outside blow torch 
and everything so it crisps up the outside but   doesn’t cook the inside too much cuz obviously 
you want it juicy yeah just keep dipping in the water as well to make sure it’s like steamed i 
suppose it’s probably a sauce Ben probably a sauce that’s 2 pound50 going 
straight away on one bite mate that good yeah it’s like literally honestly 
I’ve never tasted meat like it it like falls apart in your mouth straight away and it’s 
like disintegrating i’m not even chewing it   really yeah taste that so look at that that looks 
unreal all right let’s get in the good lighting that’s like butter yeah unreal oh that is the juiciest beef I’ve ever eaten 
that is unreal that is so good literally I’m having that last yeah I’ll save 
you but that is amazing yeah i used to say and when people used to pay extra for like fine cuts 
of meat like especially Wagu beef it’s always   very very expensive i used to be like what’s the 
difference between beefs you know what I mean i would never pay that for that that’s the best 
beef I’ve ever but that is the best beef I’ve   ever eaten literally like melts in your mouth 
and it’s got like such a strong flavor i don’t know if it’s where she dipped it in that sauce 
like that’s gave it a taste but she’s cooked   it to perfect like crispy on the outside so you 
got a little bit of crisp but then it’s so soft in the middle literally cooked to perfection i 
might have to get another one of them biggest   culture shock since I’ve been here in Japan is 
there’s actually a bin normally there’s no bins anywhere actually found a bin a big thank you

really expensive beef so look if you look there from grams starting at 80 g 6,800 oh yeah yeah 
yeah premium steak go right up to 25,000 crazy but you know I mean it isn’t crazy i think I 
can see people paying it definitely i won’t be paying it but I can see people paying it 
it is that good i’m not going to lie it is   actually that good so we’ve decided to go 
for the busiest place that’s selling taken takoyaki takiyaki this place here it’s got 
a massive queue but the other ones all look   dead so we’ve got to go where everyone’s going 
let’s go in the queue got to go for the most famous one where’s the queue start here so we’re 
in the queue for it it looks like it’s a vending machine so you buy it there he makes it there and 
then we get it there so it’s like a conveyor belt thing one two three oh stages different stages 
i’m not sure on the flavors we’ll let you know when we get there oh there is someone there 
to help i think we should just wing it like   whatever everyone’s getting we’ll get there 
we’re at the venue machine so you got 6 8 10 or 12 we’re going to go to six so sauce and mayo 
I think 21st can I put in 10,000 is that all right 21st oh you get a large shot oh yeah 
you’re not getting a beer it’s expensive though i was thinking about it but it is very 
expensive that’s it we got a ticket thank you thank you take that while I get all the change hey 
so now I broke up my 10,000 night to smaller on a vending machine oh wow but look how quick they 
move this is what I think they’re quite popular for like um how they make it how they move they 
look different to all the other ones the other   ones had like big squid tails coming out these 
look like they’re all cut up small so we’ve got him pouring it in there then he’s the one cooking 
the ones that already ready to be served they smell amazing they smell so good they’ve got a 
really good system though it’s quite a good idea because you haven’t got to mess about paying at 
the end so they get given the ticket there we’ve   got the other half of the ticket there so we 
got the other half of the ticket there and then their ticket’s there and then he’ll put it in 
the dish and then they’ll serve it up with the   sauce so look oh so she’s putting the squid in it 
up there yeah you got no one like waiting to pay and stuff looks like it’s got like strawberries 
and cocoa pops on it but roast krispies look like Rice Krispies these little bits don’t they 
yeah they do but crabs and Ro Krispies a squid bin squid in most there you go that’s the pink 
stuff i think that’s like radish maybe oh wow don’t know what that is any idea some sort 
of spice so they literally don’t have to like deal with customers at all i like it 
when um when it’s prepared where you can watch it while you’re queuing it’s cool it’s a 
cool cool thing we’ve seen it before this one   yeah thank you thank you oh I don’t like 
fish but I am really excited to try these i can see where it’s popular it’s totally 
different to all the other ones with all   the pink stuff on i have no idea looks unreal 
so we’ve got like sauce we went for the two sauces so it’s mayo i’m guessing the sauce 
that goes with tiki t how do you say it i can say it when I see it taki taki you can’t 
see it all right do you want to try him first hot what do you expect they literally just come 
straight from there delicious really creamy it’s burning all the way down they’re really 
creamy and you got some crunches of various   different vegetables and stuff not really not a 
big strong like squid flavor so this is what they look like definitely look like Rice Krispies 
on the outside but let’s see what it’s like i hot so you got a bit of squid 
so I didn’t actually get the bit   of squid but it’s still kind of 
raw in the middle as you can see it’s It’s like a um batter like a raw batter i just can’t tell you i swear they’re rice 
crispies on the outside i still think they are even after trying it i need to 
try the squid with all the flavors i can get it all chewy no fishy taste at all no I don’t think so no I’m 
just trying to let it cool well I’m eating mine in like three bits and Ben is in one i don’t know 
how you did that Ben it burnt really it burnt   really bad i feel like the pink bits are like 
giving it like a barbecue kind of smoky flavor that is so good that is really nice i can see 
why this paste is popular they’re just totally different how much was that i have no idea no 
way i think 600 i just pressed the button i’m pretty sure 600 for six very good i actually 
don’t think that I I was expecting to say that it’s quite expensive but it’s not really 
come on three quid yeah that’s not actually   that expensive notice what are they called 
guzos ah over here goss i think that’s how you pronounce it but these look good there’s 
like a variety of different ones you can pick   so kind of like dumplings is that what you 
say oh maybe crunchy cheese what do you think uh yeah i’m happy i’m happy with cheese cheese 
brian whatever you pick I’ll have all right this uh cheese yeah gel gizo just 
one oh thank you wow is it 400 thank you is that okay thank you i did 
notice you’ve got like all sauces and that on here so if you get given a tray 
I don’t know why we got given a stick one   it’s a bit pitiful but you have got these i’m 
going to pour some on up a bit ah it’s like vinegar and then sweet chili it’s going 
to be like a chili sauce oh look at that don’t know why we didn’t get them 
in a tray oh we should eat that like crunchy on the outside and 
gooey in the middle is that like   cheese though in the middle i think 
it is yeah it’s cheese wasn’t it look at that oh my god it reminds 
me a little bit of like halumi more maybe towards like I don’t know it’s more 
creamy than mozzarella it’s not as rubbery that’s really nice i’m glad I put the vinegar 
on it though that gave it like a little bit   more of a flavor i’m thinking maybe it’s like 
a Japanese cheese so you rubbing it from that yeah it’s not overly pungent if that’s the word 
it’s not really cheesy it’s like a creamy cheese creamy cheese yeah nice i think they’re a little 
bit boring but they are nice they are a little bit boring i reckon we could have gone for 
a different flavor yeah with the toppings   with onions and that i think that’s where we 
went wrong how do you rate that out of 10 the batter is really nice though isn’t it yeah it’s 
got a nice crisp like a fo b um maybe only like a six five or six maybe 5.5 yeah probably like a 
six for me they’re not all that so next we go to Shin Sharpi known as busiest shopping street so 
just going to do my head a little bit but let’s let’s just go for it in here it looks proper 
busy it reminds me of like you know when you go to like Morocco and you go in Suks and all 
that it looks like that where it’s so cra Look   at that that looks mental you’re going to love it 
i might have to go in H&M cuz I just spotted some jean demon shorts and I might have to get them 
thing on me I’m not a fan of crowds i’m not a fan of shopping so yeah it’s not probably not my 
favorite going to be my favorite place but I’m   here to embrace it i’m a tourist so let’s embrace 
it all right I’ve spotted a McDonald’s and I literally just said to Ben I could really drink a 
McDonald’s Coke so this is what we’re going to get thank you english there’s just something 
about McDonald’s Coke it’s so good isn’t it it’s better than normal Coke yeah coke here 
do you want one yeah go two mediums yeah go so how much today 600 for two medium Cokes one 
day we will try um Japanese McDonald’s but today it’s just a Coke all right let’s go not looking 
forward to the street oh I need that coke Zero is probably up there with one of our top drinks 
but this seems like more like brand names so we got like Zara Tommy Hilfiger little Pandora back 
there i hope there’s a GU yes I can see GU yes I bought some pajamas and socks for him the other 
day i literally love it it’s It reminds me of   Primark from the UK 100% so I’m definitely going 
in there my sister is actually coming out in under two weeks coming to meet me in Sri Lanka so I’m 
going to grab her some jammies as well a little present for when she arrives yay shopping so we’ve 
actually found like a vintage shop check all these out we got like Louis Vuitton purses and then 
here’s the Chanel bags look how beautiful they are there’s even watches do you know the hardest 
thing in Japan probably is in a bin we’ve been looking everywhere to get a bin for our I said 
that earlier i said that earlier to the camera   actually um that this is a culture shock a reverse 
culture shock they actually found a bin in Japan good but now it’s gone back to how it is and 
there’s no bin there’s none along here we’ve   been looking everywhere we need to go back down to 
the street food bit just to get rid of it another culture shock is even though it’s a tiny little 
road it’s a red man and it’s clear in any other country you’d go but here in Japan they’ll always 
wait always we’re We’re slagging off Japan we’re not slagging off of Japan it’s a culture shock 
culture yeah culture shock we’re allowed to say what you want as long as there’s a culture shop 
and we’ve just spotted a long queue so we’re going Don’t even know what this is ben we’ll be walking 
for hours to get rid of it oh it look like tarts this is a bit of me this is definitely like a 
food tour kind of day but we can’t go to like   the city that’s known for food and not just eat 
all the food here it’s that area though isn’t it as well like this is a real foody area so I’m 
not I do apologize that it’s turned into that but I don’t apologize no I don’t either really 
but I’ll just uh Yeah I don’t apologize oh wow so you can see inside i ain’t got clue what I’m 
getting when I get there don’t even know really what there is i literally just My rule is if 
there’s a queue it’s going to be good are they   like Portuguese tarts i think they are kind of 
like that i can see like chocolate ones fruit peach ones maybe we’ve got a sign here so we’ve 
got plain brulee matcha strawberry chocolate and peach i would go for chocolate what would you 
go for um I’m I’m banging to my matcha at the moment but yeah I’d probably go chocolate as 
well i think matcha gives me a bad tummy so I’m staying away from that okay well I think 
the brulee one looks good it looks really good the brulee one but I’m a I’m a chocolate girly 
so chocolate are we just getting one or do you want one each uh I’m not too fussed really 
should we just get a chocolate one then i always get to pick if it’s one it’s my flavor all 
right what is it 420 uh chocolate just one please uh take away thank you speaking Japanese now you said what not you yep thank you no we haven’t got 
your item yet what are you doing just stay still and hold the camera where 
do you think you’re going i thought we going around there no there’s just two cameras oh save me please and you wonder 
why we ain’t got children perfect thank you so it’s actually frowned upon in 
Japan to walk along eating so we’ll come over early oh it’s so cute look how tiny 
it is you’ve actually got to face the wall when whilst you um eat shut up it is tiny it 
actually says do not eat on the little saw in there the cheese Oh cheese tart oh wonder 
if it’s like a cheesecake kind of thing oh my god that is fantastic it’s like 
a creamy cheese filling with a rich chocolate kind of like a mousse oh that is 
so nice it’s so heavy for such a small thing that is so good it’s like a cheesecake 
in the middle and chocolate on top try   it then oh my god small bite small bite 
you eat it like that how is it the pastry is different to what I thought it’s like 
a It’s very light yes but I thought it’ be like um like a puff pastry but it’s 
not it’s just a short crust short crust yeah that’s nice maybe the chocolate is not 
The chocolate is not as rich as I like it oh that’s amazing i’m not a big lover of the street stuff this could 
be the one of the best desserts I’ve ever had   really you going that far it’s really good come 
on have another bite i think you need another one just let the cheese get all the chocolate bit yeah 
cuz that’s the best part how do you not say that’s fantastic it is it is is the food I understand 
why this city is known for food we’ve had some   fantastic food haven’t we some good food oh my 
god i mean that that Wagu beef oh I’m going to be thinking about forever yeah that was like the 
best thing we’ve ever eaten and then obviously   for someone that loves desserts like Brian oh my 
god that was best thing she she’s ever eaten that man’s eating like a chocolate cookie there where’s 
he from he’s a bag carrier i think we might end up going home with this um Coke it’s literally 
doing my head in we got a pair of pajamas a pair of shorts a top two tops and it cost 5,000 
yen which I think is really good it’s definitely the equivalent to Primark in the UK we got rid of 
it we came back to McDonald’s back to the sauce that’s how you do it i’m trying to find the store 
book i suppose it’s really good for vintage stuff i think it’s up here somewhere i need to check my 
map take that minute well I’ve been telling Ben   for ages that we need to go to Mr donut and one 
of his friends just texted him and said “You need to go to Mr donut.” Now Ben’s going “We need to go 
to Mr donut.” I’ll be like “I’ve been telling you   this from day one.” Yeah but you know what it’s 
like you need you need a second opinion because Ri seems to think that everything’s Oh we need 
to go here we need to go here or do a food and   then some my mates just said to me “Make sure 
you go Mr donut don’t leave Japan without going Mr donut.” So yeah we will go Mr donut because 
he said only because he said not cuz I said what nothing trying to start an argument here it is 
book off so this is meant to be kind of like TK Maxx maybe crockery but it’s meant to have like 
designer bags like coach and all that right quite cheap yeah so let’s go and see says there taxree 
as well taxree yeah look at all these look versace being a bit careful cuz I’m not allowed to film 
fendi so look on the cases you’ve got like Gucci these are proper like old school Gucci’s all 
in there prada so we’ve just spotted these Burberry coats ben’s been wanting one for Yorks 
30,000 so that’s about 150 quid yes i think that might fit you that one let me just explain to 
you so in London the Burberry shop we had a um someone that come buy not long ago and they 
paid about £3,000 for for a Burberry coat so 150 quid is not bad at all yeah these are like 
secondhand some of them have default so this   one’s 16 where is it but it’s got like stains 
on it yeah you can see stains on it oh it’s actually a shame the Burberry coat Ben wanted 
it was way too big look at this bag here these   are like ones with defaults on them so they got 
like marks a bit worn off but it’s like 4,000 so sometimes you can find like a good little like 
bit scratched up but if it’s just for you it’s not bad but if we come across another book off 
we’re looking there weren’t we but Ben’s been gagging to get one for so long so I was really 
happy when he found one but just way too big yeah that was like two sizes too big weren’t it 
they look Yeah yeah and they’re like £1,000 a lot yeah so we’ll keep an eye out so we’ve just found 
the Japanese cheesecake here this is the famous spot that you should get it but I don’t want to 
get it now because I’ve got to carry it around   so we’re going to come back here in a minute um 
we’re down like these alleyway things again we found like another one with like all your shops 
with skin care sweets Japanese things arcades oh wow look at this proper open like European style 
look at all the old colonial architecture look at everyone like sitting down watching the screens 
oh yeah they are aren’t they i don’t think right   apart from the big cities like Paris London all 
that stuff i don’t think I’ve ever been to a city where there’s so many luxury brands literally 
look one way it’s Rolex then it’s Gucci and you know Fendi whatever absolutely everywhere these 
luxury brands it’s actually really like seem well feels like a really rich rich city that’s how 
they advertise in Japan they put it on the side of the van and drive around play music as well 
yeah everyone looks over how mad is this look he’s done all these with water man this guy here 
look good job good good job thank you it’s amazing amazing amazing yeah so cool that’s amazing crazy 
that you could do something like that and it’s just going to just going to vanish it’s going to 
dissolve i thought we’d have to queue so we’re actually going for dinner now we’re actually 
trying sushi for the first time but I don’t   know what we’re doing uh choose language 12 minute 
wait already registered register for seating now we were in a booth weren’t we that’s well cool 
all right sit down here we’re just waiting for a table we’re not really sure how long it’s 
going to take but it did say on it that the   booths I think take longer i’m not sure i think 
that’s what we’re waiting for i’m so confused oh so you can have single seats there thank you 
oh look little secret oh we’re right at the end so all the good food’s going to be gone so 
this is actually one of the most popular chains in the whole of Japan i was looking at 
going here when we were in Tokyo but we just didn’t get chance so now we’re going to have 
a chance and this is actually our first time   ever going for sushi me and Rian have never 
actually um experienced anything like this so this is quite cool it’s very like obviously 
what you imagine in the movies it to be like i’m assuming we can have oursel to these and 
these are things we order maybe what do you think yeah so you can use the QR code to order or 
you can use the tablet i’m going to use this so what do you want to try first then uh no let’s 
go for something um fish oh we got rolls yeah open the rolls tuna roll this is the tuna you’re 
meant to try I think um I don’t know which one one piece 130 it’s quite mental like looking at 
this each dish 130 even the premium’s 130 and you can take all these things as well so each 
dish is like a dollar so we can actually spend not much and try loads of dishes which is pretty 
cool i’m going to go for the salt aged tuna 130 oh you can get half portions as well we have 
received your order thank you this is well fun all right is there anything you want to 
cheer up here so we’ve got tuna on the way so I’m guessing it comes up there when you um 
want it and then you put your plates in there but up there if you grab the cups spin we can 
do our water ah so that’s where the toy comes out ah okay then so we can win a toy Ben so when 
you put your plate through at the end you can win a toy ah I see yeah yeah and you put your plates 
in there that’s That’s the game is it hot so our first time trying tuna and sushi i know go on Ben 
what about first oh spray oh so sushi lovers at home let me know have I just made a mistake 
putting this on or this is the dumb thing i think we should have sprayed this one oh that’s like a balsamic and that tuna so we’ve   actually got other sauces here 
i think this is what was it is might regret you’re not putting it down might 
regret this i don’t know am I meant to spread   it out i don’t think you’re going to get a 
taste of it yeah I will and then I’m going to spray this on there why aren’t they 
spraying do they just pour yeah of course i need to translate and see what they 
actually are here we go i’m not a fan   of fish as we know but will she 
like age tuna all in one yeah give us something that is unreal it literally melts in your 
mouth it’s like butter like literally just falls apart it’s not fishy at all um should we 
actually order a few things so we can have a few things to try now one of our dishes have come 
oh wow will arrive shortly not really sure do you want some wasabi uh so this is a sweet 
sauce i translated them more and this one is a soya sauce i’ll put it on the side cuz 
I don’t want to I want to No you won’t need   that much i want to taste what it is first 
so that was Oh tuna natu whatever that is what is that it’s like a stringy oh we got another dish 
we got tuna rolls as well tuna roll that’s a bit like um like beans arrive shortly 
so it’s got a little bit of like a coffee taste that has a lot of wasabi how is 
it good i mean that’s the first time I’ve ever tried like fresh wasabi look 
at it oh is it here yeah is it actually told you Ben it’s strong he had you know 
that bit he put on the side he just had   the whole lot probably hits you don’t it so I 
just realized so you get hot water out of that and I thought oh that’s a bit weird hot water 
but we’ve got matcha so we can make oursel a   matcha drink how good is that how much you 
put in do I use it oh the spoons in here so if you never been here before that’s 
where your spoons and cutlery are oh that smells amazing i’m not sure 
how much match you put in though oh good that is well nice i’ll 
make you some Ben it looks like raw meat literally yeah those little beans that m don’t know what it is i I can’t 
fit this all in my mouth in one i   know probably people like fit it all in your mouth all right right this is the plate situation 
so far don’t count it you’re not allowed i’m not counting it but we need to get it much 
higher too cuz we all are actually playing   a game that we can win a prize so at the end 
we’ll put all the plates in there yeah they will go in there but I need to order some stuff 
that some new stuff that I haven’t tried before   what do you want that one yeah order oh so 
you can order one piece we should have done that right we’ve ordered a few now oh can you 
get me that one this one you’re too late go go go yes loing quick you got a cucumber 
on it and there i’m not sure what this is don’t know what it is but I’m going 
to try it got to j it up every time it up loads of wasabi is it just me or is the 
burn just so good when you have wasabi it’s addictive what addictive add dick addictive if 
you don’t get the burn you look really upset sensational hello guys your order will

on it as well oh it does okay m is it good it is fishy so you 
probably won’t like it but it’s really tender lovely and for one we 
got tempura prawns temp no tempura squid squid so I’m assuming this is going to 
be like calamari i don’t think I can eat it with And now we Oh you got to put some of 
this on i’ll take that one with it exactly like calamari exactly the same absolutely 
delicious so this one is salmon rose reo what’s that never that’s like salmon 
eggs salmon eggs maybe yeah maybe yeah that is a That is a bit posh then isn’t 
it salmon eggs not sure i’m not sure but they burst i don’t know what they are they’re fishy not
