Luxury Cake Hunting in Shinjuku! Tokyo Department Store Sweets and Shinjuku New Buildings Ep.578

[Music] hey guys today we are in Shinjuku Station next to the cat display there was a very popular building called Ala but now it’s already gone yes Kat is sleeping and the Shinjuku out building under deion work it is one of the most historical and popular building in Shinjuku but unfortunately it’s gone there are so many new buildings in Shinjuku and there are so many old buildings is gone Shinjuku now it’s sad to see old building is gone but I’m really excited for the new buildings now well they haven’t announced what building it will be over there but it’s just in front of Shinjuku station so must be something nice that’s the entrance of Shinjuku station east exit and yep that’s the outer building must be something nice this is the main street toward to Kabuki Cho i believe it will take several years to complete but uh when it complete I will let you guys know by the way this place was used to be under construction but now they finished the construction and the new building over here speaking of today’s temperature it’s 27° wind is 3 m/s 56% humidity unfortunately rainy season has just started in Japan and there are so many rainy days every day it becomes humid but before the summer time it’s always happens so it’s shogan night well today’s temperature it’s not raining but a little bit cloudy today it’s 13th of June yes it’s my birthday since it’s my birthday I want to eat the cake so I decide to introduce many different kinds of cake and the dessert store in Shinjuku well I haven’t eat the breakfast and lunch so I’m so ready to eat the cake i will introduce some of my favorite cake store and also I will try something new as well so let’s enjoy oh by the way hey guys welcome back to Ryan TV i’m Ryan S please don’t forget to check my Instagram too all right so let’s keep walking so before going to cake store since we are already here let’s go check out the Kabuki chow too it should be one of the bus street in Shinjuku but it feels like today not that many people in here though not that many people in front of this donkey hotel entrance either oh already they start selling the fireworks fireworks is legal in Japan as long as if it’s not a big one it’s really popular thing to do during the summer time it’s a handhold small size fireworks yeah one of my favorite things to do during the summer time the fireworks also they are start selling the photoable sun umbrella there is a kabuki cho dump too looks so kabuki next to it there are many claw machines of donkeyote last time we tried and we couldn’t get it but today might be a lucky day seems like that yellow one super easy to get it why not let’s try yeah it’s so easy right just carried it from here to there how is it well even it doesn’t move if I can’t get that what I can get i’m just wondering it’s so hard that’s okay it’s sugar we still have a lot of coal machines and also gacha pong so let’s go check out the Kabuki Cho tower too well I feel like this street gets cleaner i’m wondering why do you find something different in this street huh godzilla there yes we are already at the center of Kabuki in this Tohjo cinemas building there are many restaurant in the first floor so those are the restaurant we have in here ringa hat and the gindako those are my favorite oh now they have a seasonal over here i think they just opened it let’s go check up the restaurants so it must be here oh yeah it’s just in front of Hotel Gra and also there is a flowers yeah they must open recently i got visit here in the future next to it there is one person Shabu Shabu and the Sukiyaki restaurant over here i haven’t visit this place later i want to visit here too well seems like it starts from 2,600 Japanese yen including tax well of course depends on the 40 but feels like a little bit expensive compared to the other Japanese standard we’ll see and the Kabuki Cho tower it’s just over there it is a tall building this Toyoko Square now it’s blocked used to be a really chaotic atmosphere but uh now it becomes really quiet still there are many people sitting down next to this square and drinking alcohol but the atmosphere becomes much better what’s going on so many pigeons over here so many people enjoying Starbucks at the stairs it became warmer and this place can see the kabuki cho nicely so it’s very popular spot to take a rest especially it’s just in front of Starbucks let’s go inside the capac tower too there is a guy shouting over there so still you know it is not completely becomes a peaceful place but trust me compared to before it becomes much much better how about in the kabuki cho tower there are nice atmosphere of restaurant inside oh now they have many items display over there it becomes nicer oh I thought they are removing the object last time when we were here but still this something artistic over here arian beer yep that’s a nice beer so let’s go upstairs they usually have the show on the weekend so probably they have a show tonight as well so let’s try some claw machines it is a very fun atmosphere they have a VR ride i think it used to be Evangelion but now they have something different interesting so many tyonas and also Mario Kart oh really one play 300 Japanese yen when I was in Osaka I used to play with 100 Japanese yen though yep that’s Kabuki Cho they have so many different kinds of claw machines over here so that’s something new over here seems like we just need to catch and if we can hold up to the top we can get the Kirby i’m wondering how it works anyways let me try it cost 200 Japanese yen for a time i can pay with a credit card too so let’s do it so I just need to press the button over here and it moves and I have to press it one more time and if they can carry it up until the top I can get the KBY wait i think I’m pretty bad hold on i think this tensa this liar is much easier to get one because it’s circle so why not let me try this okay it cost 200 Japanese yen so press the button again and I think I can place it whatever because it’s circle so it’s super hard to hold it and carried it how is it yeah it holds and if I can bring it to the top ah now I see how it works and it’s interesting interesting never mind let’s go to get the cake so the first spot is Takano Fruits Parlor there is a nice cake store over there it’s located in front of Shinjuku station east exit so we have to go back so that’s a place where we start filming and that’s the Shinjuku station east exit the building of Takano fruit parlor should be just over there their fruits is really popular they have nice fruit cake so first cake is a fruit cake it says taco over there so that’s a building so should be in the fifth floor they have many different kinds of fruit shops in this building let’s use the elevator fancy they also have so many gifts where is the elevator wow so nice atmosphere and it smells pretty good so let’s go to the fifth floor so they just told me there’s only the restaurant over there and the cake to go it’s in the basement floor so we got go basement floor here we go so this must be the place oh they have so many different cakes it’s beautiful nice all right we got it oh my goodness they have a melon pen with melon this must be pretty good too i got to try it next time anyways let’s find a place to eat since 1885 they have a long history oh yeah sweet the sky gets bluer it becoming a beautiful day loving it there are so many people in Shinjuku everywhere hope we can find a nice place to eat though if not we are going to the penguin square you see that building over there new man next to it there is a nice square so maybe we can eat over there oh they are building something new over here too there is another donkey hotel over here also another game center yep let’s go to Penguin Square uh street perform over there so it’s in the upstairs since there are not that many people in the town I assume there are not that many people in the penguin square hopefully we can find nice seat though it just over there and seems like there are people oh I guess all the tables are occupied it’s okay let’s eat over here sweet all right here we go that’s fancy the expiration day is today so so let’s eat oh look at that oh my goodness looks fancy so there is a cake next to it there is a ice pack also forks it was 10 Japanese yen and this cake price is 865 Japanese yen looks yummy this cake more expensive compared to the McDonald’s menu item which something fancy but must be a choice so let’s eat oh my goodness it’s hard to open it can I just take it it’s not that too sweet cake the flavor of fruits perfectly matches with this less sweet cake perfect i totally forgot that yes we are eating the cake for my birthday happy birthday to me happy birthday to me m with the pink grape fruits nachoi they have so many different kind of fruits on it and all of them it’s nachos yep that’s perfect way to start the birthday loving it if you are not the regular view of mine maybe you are wondering how old I become well let me answer i am forever 21 actually you know the Japan has a very strict culture by the age and I don’t want to people judged me by the age you know oh he’s younger or he’s older you know whatever it is so that’s why I’m always saying forever 21 but maybe in the future video I will make a Q&A so we’ll see and already it’s lesson happy birthday in Japanese so if you someone is a birthday maybe you can say it’s in Japanese must be nice so isetang department store as in that street the sweet store is located in the depacha department basement floor yep that’s the sign of Isetang most of the Japanese department store has the food floor in the basement level usually they have something fancy so is is a town so we are heading there to get the N sweets oh wait that’s that uniuro what display i thought that’s like the board but now it becomes the LED display hi moving by the way this building is Bikuro Big Camela and Uniuro it was under construction for a while but after they renew it there are more visitors it is one of the biggest uniuro in Shinjuku also electric appliance store big camera too there is a Shinjuku Apple store and it’s a department store entrance is over here so let’s go to the basement floor so we got to go down oh there are so many people over here oh must be here let’s get that jella cafe over there that looks pretty good oh hold on this matcha cake looks pretty good too well let’s get this one as well all right so let’s find a place to eat since we are already west part of Shinjuku let’s go to Shinjuku surely we can find a place to eat over there oh my goodness look at this back looks super fancy maybe 20% of the price is this back and also this fancy box they have a nice good and cheap ice cream but not today it’s my birthday yep already that’s the entrance over there since it’s not that season and not that many people in the town must be no line in front of the park and there must be fewer people in the park by the way I have a cake back over here but also I still have the takano back over here yeah I couldn’t find a trash can in Shinjuku it’s really hard to find a trash can in Japan so if you’re visiting Japan you got to be ready recently there are many trash can and a big cities such as Shibuya also omote sando Kyoto I found but maybe not yet in Shinjuku hopefully in the future yes I know that there is a trash can in Shinjuku so we can trash over there last time we visit here it was the Sakura season and there’s long line in front of it but no line today by the way speaking of the opening hour during the summer time they close at the 5:00 p p.m last entrance was 4:30 but now it becomes the summer time they open until 5:30 close at 6:00 p.m entrance fee cost 500 Japanese yen if you visit here during the busy season you have to be in line to get the ticket but if you have a train IC card you can just directly pay at the counter so you don’t have to wait don’t forget to make the train IC card it is very convenient and uh annual pass line it’s over here actually my annual pass was just expired so I just renewed the annual pass it cost 2,000 Japanese yen for a year if you pay for a day it cost 500 Japanese yen so if you come over here more than four times in a year yep it will be a better deal you know since I usually show the travel situation update so definitely I will come over here more than four times in a year so it worth it and yes here’s a trash can let’s find a place to eat oh the grass under cultivation so we can’t enter those areas this place used to be a beautiful Sakura trees area but now it becomes greener and it becomes really quiet too the other side we can still enter and there are many people relaxing over here let’s go check out the Japan garden too i always love walking in this park it’s very quiet even in Shinjuku sometimes it becomes very crowded but uh only that time in the busy season most of the time it’s very quiet there is a free table over there maybe we can eat over there yep still so many empty seats all right I think this place is good so here we go it is a popular chocolate cake according to the chat GPT yeah it is recommended by the GPT it’s my first time to try sweet ah looks pretty good the fruit cake taco i have tried it before and it was my favorite but this bell armor could be my next favorite we’ll see ah fancy so this one is matcha with chory and next to it it’s the coffee one yeah I believe it must be coffee looks like coffee isn’t it we’ll see yeah you know because of the lighting it was kind of dark so I think from this angle would be better anyways let’s eat i like this huh let me see which one to start maybe from this matcha looks pretty good must be nice well probably we can’t eat this so let me just put it away and Oh my goodness look at that actually the flavor of matcha is not that strong but this small spongy has a nice orange flavor the orange flavor perfectly matches with this flavor of chocolate and a little bit of flavor of matcher loving it my choice [Music] mhm speaking of the cake in Japan compared to the other countries cake it’s less sweet when I was in the states first time when I tried the US cake it makes me so surprised because it was very sweet well I know many people prefer the very sweet cake but if you like not that sweet cake you will love the Japanese cake so you got to try that in Japan yeah yep that’s size for one person one person only yeah and here we go it’s the next morning hopefully it’s coffee i just ate too many sweets already so I want to eat something not that sweet even it’s my birthday yeah well so we’ll see anyways let me try oh look at that that must be pretty good [Music] good yes it is coffee nice coffee flavor perfectly matches with the sweet whipped cream and the cake you know I love coffee so I love this cake too we also have the chocolate parade as well m you know I love sweets and I love cake but you know already I feel like that I have ate too much sweets well I was planning to visit two more sweets stores but [Music] let me think about it maybe we can try something different something mic but something different [Music] you know now I really appreciate all the bitterness of this coffee jelly loving it though oh I just realized at the bottom there is some whipped cream flame let’s see it tastes like a chocolate but not the sweet nice flavor of coffee with whipped cream very interesting oh you know some people can eat cake and sweets forever there are the sweet buffet usually many ladies goes over there and staying several hours yep they eat until they can’t eat literally but uh I am not that kind of person well I love chocolate and I love sweets though but uh yeah you know after eat several cakes feels a little bit you know enough feeling so how about you can you eat the sweets until you become full or you feel a little bit bored with sweets yeah just wondering but don’t get me wrong I’m super happy and it’s my choice you know all right so let’s go to the next spot i’m so happy all right so let’s go to check out the Japan garden before we leave here totally different atmosphere compared to the last time we visit feels like no one is here i love how this park takes on a different character with every season compared to the Sakura season it looks totally different and we can see the Doer beautifully oh yeah airplane i’m getting ready for the next adventure oh look at that it’s Hydranger over there too oh my goodness beautiful it is the season for hydrangeanger after the hydranger season gone summer is coming well maybe because of the color of hydrangeanger my favorite color is the sky blue loving it by the way hydrangeanger in Japanese called aisai aisai yeah before leaving here yes I got a trash can because it’s so hard to find a trash can outside sweet during the busy season this exit is closed but now it’s not the busy season so we can use this exit there let’s keep walking toward part of Shinjuku oh IKEA you know they have a nice restaurant oh they have a unlimited menu items salsa topping with 200 Japanese yen that sounds good why not let’s do it all right sweet it’s not that scary but how about the taste price is only 200 Japanese yen smells pretty good maybe because I’ve been eating too many sweets but the nice flavor of salsa with little spicy chili perfectly matches with hot dogs price is only 200 Japanese yen loving it yep i always love the IKEA dining it is a little bit spicy though but that’s always Yeah it’s spicy i love you ikea now we are at the south exit of Shinjuku station because the rush hour time is coming so there are more people here speaking of the Shinjuku station renewal that middle road building is also closing too they are planning to build the huge new building and area over here west part of Shinjuku area is also renewing and it will be connected to this area now if you want to go to the west part of Shinjuku either you have to go all the way down in the town right or you got to go inside the building but it will be much easier to access to the west part of Shinjuku later after they finish the construction the people’s crows reminds me the Mario Kart i’ve been looking for the Nintendo Switch 2 and being attending to the lottery but I can never win hopefully I can get it soon though let’s go check out the west exit of Shinjuku station 2 oh wow this place becomes much much cleaner if you are the regular viewer of mine you can feel the difference isn’t it now this west side of area of Shinjuku it’s kind of hard to visit but uh after they finish the construction because of this street it will connect to the other side and it will be much easier to access from the east side this big street the electric connecting to the metropolitan government so it will be very useful as well in front of this street they are building the new building over here too it will be a huge building too you know it’s like the Osaka Expo during the pandemic time feels like that Osaka Expo will never come you know it’s like 5 years later four years later that kind of stuff but eventually yes it comes in 2025 which is this year and we have visited already so I believe that building over there yep it will be completed soon in the future too so I Government Building Observatory yep tokyo Metropolitan Government that’s the building in front of you last time when we visit this place it was under renovation the observatory so I’m wondering how it changes we’ll see i believe there is no long line in front of the elevator even it’s free though around the mid of June to early July there are many rainy days because of the rainy season but it is a travel off season so usually there are much fewer travelers compared to the summer vacation season so observatory this is the way to go oh yeah that’s a line and not bad at all so probably the waiting time is less than 10 minutes last time they open from 9:30 to 10 p.m but the last entry is 9:30 so you got to be careful also they close at first and the third Tuesday we are already in front of the elevator and the waiting time was about 5 minutes not bad at all so let’s go ah they renewed the store huh now they have a Tokyo Sky Drink with the M Fuji cookie good job this gift shop becomes nicer tokyo i think basically what they sell hasn’t changed yet and also there’s a cafe in the middle as well oh look at this samurai card it’s so cool price is 990 Japanese yen oh also this folding screen called Bou Boo very nice 19,800 Japanese yen sweet japan ki lucky charm find your name i’m wondering if they have a Ryan so must be around here there’s a Richard freak and yeah I think that’s it so of you under construction that’s Tokyo station’s area and you see that tall building in front of you that’s Rapongi Hills i think this side of observatory there’s a street piano but seems like no one is playing oh they can play until 400 p.m so maybe that’s the reason why well because of the crowded so hard to see but uh there should be the Mount Fuji on this side well if you can’t see just see with the eyes of the heart beautiful scenile i always love this observatory especially it’s free there are more and more people coming to this observatory all right so let’s go down so let’s go to the park looks like they will be raining the wind is wet too this street directly continues to the Shinjuk Chuo Park it is the free park so no entrance fee most of the park in Japan it’s free the difference between paid park and the free park the big difference is is that you know you can drink alcohol on there most of the free park you can drink alcohol in the park yes in Japan we can drink alcohol in the public place however in the paid park many paid park they don’t allow you to drink alcohol in the park so you got to be careful it’s a big park this is also one of my favorite park oh seems like this park it’s also under construction there are many places getting ready for the summer busy season that’s a cute hydrangeanger oh this park used to be there are so many skateboarders and also BMX rider practicing around this area but seems like no one here today huh beautiful street many different kinds of color of hydrangeanger ais so June loving it that’s one of the iconic building of Shinjuku Kun tower right next to west part of Shinjuku station inside of the park there is a tiny shrine over there they can go from here oh wait there seems like door is closed already yeah they close at 400 pm well if we go from the other side we can enter but it’s okay maybe next time oh today also they are closing the area too i’m wondering when they open uh it says they are renewing the grasses here too they will open again in end of July yep during the summer season they will open it again many places getting ready for the busy travel season summer break yeah and my favorite part of this park yes there is Starbucks compared to busy east part of Shinjuku area this west part of Shinjuku is very quiet and fewer people so one of my favorite spot to chill i never go upstairs i’m wondering what we have here oh I see so there is a table also there is a bordering ging tree nice we can see the park beautifully from here i thought there is a restaurant or something in the second floor but actually there is a free space there are many tables too so if you don’t drink Starbucks yeah just go upstairs and there are place to take a rest if you drink Starbucks there is a trust seed in front of the Starbucks too yes finally we got a giveaway gift i was looking for some giveaway gift that something I can draw and something light so that I can place it in my backpack always it’s a nice sticker but uh I will draw the lion over here and also sign my name yes if you don’t like me probably it will be the garbage but if you like me that will be a nice giveaway gift will be the small are not that many event over there so I decide to visit after they start the new event especially speaking of the Tokyo Disney Sea the Fantasy Spring is open now i mean they opened the area so before you needed the first pass to enter the area like the Super Mario Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan but now everyone can enter and everyone can be in line for the new rides i haven’t tried the new ridun and also the Peter Pan those two I want to try that yes so we are going to the Tokyo Disney Sea in the future too well and also I’m not sure if it’s possible or not but I want to visit the Mako Island for my birthday trip mako Island is the island right next to Taiwan yes it’s still Japan it is a small tiny island right next to Taiwan it’s almost Taiwan but still it’s in Japan everyone speaks Japanese too i never visit there but I heard it’s a very nice island and also there’s a nice hotel over there so I want to visit there and I want to stay in the nice hotel make a vlog so we’ll see and also yes as I announced I want to visit the Singapore too foreign country vlog is finally coming i haven’t booked the ticket and I haven’t decide the day yet but uh whenever I decide the day I will let you guys know there are many viewers from Singapore so if you see me in the Singapore go to me if I book the plane I will let you guys know when I will be so go to me it will be like my first
