Visiting the Most Beautiful Temple in Kyoto.#viral #kyoto#tenjuantemple #travel #japan #shortsvideo
Tenju-an Temple, a sub-temple of Nanzen-ji Temple, is renowned for its rock and pond gardens that showcase traditional Japanese aesthetics. This serene location offers visitors beautifully landscaped gardens, reflecting Japan’s rich religious heritage and garden design traditions.
A subtemple of Nanzen-ji, Tenju-an is located on the south side of San-mon, the main gate of Nanzen-ji. Constructed in 1337, Tenju-an has a splendid garden and a great collection of carp in its pond.
One of the sub-temples of Nanzen-ji Temple. In 1339, the 15th abbot of Nanzen-ji Temple, Tokan Shiren, requested the construction of a temple tower to enshrine the founder of Nanzen-ji Temple, Mukan Fumon, and it was built as a hermitage. It was burned down during the Onin War, but was rebuilt in 1602 by Hosokawa Yusai (Fujitaka). It has a beautiful dry landscape garden with white sand and moss in the eastern garden, and a stroll-style southern garden with a pond that has the feel of an old garden from the Northern and Southern Courts period.
