Sandy, Avó, Kobe, and Zuri spent the day visiting Porto in Portugal. Their experience was deeply connected to the city’s generous and easy-going people, as well as the stunning River Douro, which is lined with rich heritage on both banks. They admired the picturesque bridges and monuments, colorful tiles, blooming balconies, and vibrant shopping streets. The historic center of Porto, along with the Port Wine lodges located on the Gaia side of the River Douro, has been designated as a World Heritage site. Avó also confronted her fear of heights by riding the cable car. With temperatures reaching 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit) and clear skies, it was too hot to hike up the hills.
