if you ever find yourself around Asakusa’s famous Sensoji Shrine and you get sick of the thousands of people all around you I have a special spot for you that almost no one knows about Just 3 minutes walking away from the famous Sensi Shrine you can find this mysterious underground entrance And if you are brave enough to venture down discover a hidden part of Tokyo’s history This underground shopping mall takes you back to a Japan of the last century with its Shoa era wipes and atmosphere Many shops are unfortunately closed down but some unique spots like bars fortune tellers and barbers are still roughing it out down here among all the dirt and water leaking And if you have been feeling a strangely familiar feeling while watching this like you have seen this before somewhere Perhaps it is because this arcade was featured in the 2023 movie Perfect Days as the place where the main character had drinks and Yakisoba Unfortunately that place was closed on that day but it was still really fun exploring down here So yeah make sure to not miss this if you are in Tokyo the next time
