in Kyoto heading to the station so cute hope you can see it nintendo Museum exit this kawaii of course hey that’s Pikachu oh there it is nintendo Museum here we are waiting in the 10:30 line seems to be a lot more locals than tourists at least on today we did buy tickets online we didn’t make the lottery but we bought standby tickets and they issue a QR code 24 hours before it comes all right waiting to get in it’s kind of like TSA they check everything that Nintendo has a budget all right we just got into Nintendo Museum look how cute this is i got my Mi that I’ve had for years look at Sarah’s we made hers on the spot oh look at the entrance it has the singing toads they all do different sound frequencies the ton of merch from all over Nintendo look at all the Mario that’s so cute oh they have like the DS guide book super Mario Sunshine Pikman it’s like all the game guides so cool oh look at that wall mural so cool oh my gosh but sadly no photos beyond this point until then hey guys Future John here to talk about this section so you’re actually not allowed to film inside the Nintendo Museum um they have staff and cameras watching everyone so please be respectful of that but I just got to say this was probably the best Museum of Nintendo products I have ever seen in my life i’ll throw a picture on the screen right now actually this is from the default on their website and honestly I could spend like hours in here just admiring all the iconic games the collectible consoles the special controllers the box art of everything they had every single Nintendo system and even more throughout Nintendo history there was actually displays of like you know very niche products and some card games board games that started the company and yeah like when we visited literally there’s almost no one up there and I that’s probably due to all the kids wanting to play like the interactive games downstairs which we’ll get to next in the next section but this was such an experience and honestly like if you’re a Nintendo fan you could easily spend one to two hours in here just admiring everything they even have some like demos playing on the top at the TVs of every section you go to like you can see like a section of GameCube games and Wii games and like their corresponding like iconic titles will be playing on the screens on top i do wish there was some sort of like history maybe some sort of like audio guide or maybe a couple more plaques involved kind of just a huge glorified collector’s room um which I love to see right and I wish I could have taken some pictures of it otherwise it was pretty cool to walk through especially with a group of friends we all have different um memories of different Nintendo consoles so it was awesome just to see all this i would highly recommend spending your time in here if you can and then heading to the interactive exhibits later they always admit visitors by time slots so you don’t have to worry about the museum getting crowded at any point and then you know you don’t have to feel rushed to run to the gift shop right away either because a lot of the popular items are like they have a limit on things for customers anyways so there’s no need to rush through the museum just to get to the gift shop or there’s no need to run to the interactive museum either uh because they’ll manage lines and we never had to really wait for anything so feel free to take your time in the museum as much as possible anyways I’m going to throw it back to the vlog or we’re going to start heading to the interactive part of the museum uh where you can spend your 10 Nintendo coins per badge to go to and play any of the games in there so let’s go to it all right we’re in the interactive area now and we decided to do the scope game which is kind of like a shooting game using AR and tech it’s exclusive to the museum so this is going to be really cool you can fit a huge amount of players too down there which one do you use all right we’ll do a pistol cuz I can’t hold the rifle and the camera oh we’re starting al’s got the rifle woo i am literally spamming the trigger oh shoot I hit Mario oh no Mario i’m sorry how’s pens ah we’re at the store now this is literally one of the coolest stores in my life you have everything you would want for any Nintendo fan in here oh it’s so cool oh I had to get a couple oh my gosh the whole Game Boy section nintendo 64 section oh my gosh I love these pins i think I might get them oh but look at this it’s like the original box that’s so cool i know this a similar thing with all of them they all have a t-shirt a pen i think this is a acrylic or a pen and then a mug so they have that for all the systems going down and in the middle they have like some other unique merch too oh GameCube my nostalgic home console ooh I don’t want another mug i definitely like the pins and the little sealed box sets it’s so cool same story get a DS pen set get a Wii pin set oo the Wii mug looks good though i dig that oh there’s no DS mug we’re at the 3DS oh they have a box all right and finally we’re at the Switch which also had the box they all have pens but they don’t all have the boxes though or mugs but this one seems to have it if you’re into uh like the original game um designs of the box arts they have a physical game sticker collection so these are all stickers that you can stick isn’t this cool so cool [Music] this is like a little dipping plate nice i’m going to get the Game Boy one that’s kind of cute i don’t know why they do this they always have snack tins look they have a whole area dedicated to DK which I don’t know if they’ll sell the same thing at Donkey Kong Country when we go that’s cool look at that Diddy Kong they have keychains but I think it’s only one gotcha so we only have one chance so we have to each get one h I want all of them though okay we actually found it’s one per series we have the 1983 to 1999 and then 2,000 onwards so you can get one of each pray that I get the ones I want keychains that they sell that sell the sound but only one so you got to make it count hopefully you get one this is the newest release too at the museum at the time of this recording i thought the plush was going to be huge but honestly I could probably vacuum seal this into my luggage this could probably fit oh wait it’s like a little bit protruding okay and then the N64 one is like super flat oh dude i kind of want to bring this home but this is so big oh my gosh [Music] they got the NES and SNES ones so cute all right after much little varation we’re probably going to get the Wii remote just cuz it makes the most sense both as a pillow and for a luggage even though I do like the N641 but I do agree with Allan it’s not as protruding as much whereas this one like the buttons do protrude but it’s a much simpler design here is my whole hole it’s crazy 54,600 yen how much was yours 19,000 for hers i just got her to get repeats of ones we could only buy once and some pins all right we just got finished with the exhibit about an hour and a half including the shop look there’s a Pikachu manhole cover right here that’s so cute vending machine right here but look at the umbrella holders oh my gosh and they have different ones too different Game Boy Colors it’s green over there all right taking one last photo because there’s no line yeah that was the Nintendo Museum all right honestly this makes one of the best Japan experiences we ever had not only was it reasonably priced gift shop was amazing experience there’s not a lot of crowdedness or wait time mhm they did a really good job like spacing out the crowds and like the layout of the place so like we honestly didn’t even wait that long like in the lines to play games and stuff yeah honestly dude if you guys can secure tickets it’s a competitive process online but if you can do it it’s so worth it you are coming out to all close to Uji Kyoto but like it’s cool to visit like a quaint quiet town here and visit something that’s basically a once in a lifetime experience highly recommend merch Hall from Nintendo Museum me and Sarah’s combined all the pins sticker sets two points two of the music got gachas four of the keychain gachas lanyard keychain tumbler gamer mic got the museum lanyard with my MI card in it okay first one is the music box yeah go for it alan Shelby have it too i’m down to trade either way oh yeah we get duplicates yeah all right please be one of my systems what the heck wait what is this what the heck is that it just says Nintendo oh is it play play the sound i might recognize it oh you might have to pull the tab do you want me to pull the tab sure i’ve never had this oh that’s the Wii U i’ve never even touched Honestly that’s not as iconic to me what’d you get what’d you get oh that’s good that’s good that’s good okay turn it on come on GameCube okay I will be extremely happy with GameCube or Game Boy or DS or 3DS i’m okay if we get the Switch too oh is that the Gamecube another Game Boy he’s got a disc what was that one 1986 oh that’s pretty cool oh this one’s actually Where is this from it reminds me i don’t think it’s a console is it it’s just like a startup sound okay i think we just got the first two like the old old school i want to trade all right i traded it for the Wii but I got one okay i mean I like the sound this is a Wii sound classic gosh man okay honestly I had to study this for my masters you know what screw it this is the first VR i’ll take it wait open the other one i’m literally happy with any of before they released uh the two Zelda game remakes on the Wii U that That’s a thing you’re making me very nervous now the support of it is emanating right now it’s okay chances are high you’ll get something else is that the Oh DS hey nice ds oh that’s a DS it’s Fat Boy DS that’s good oh it actually Oh wait wait that’s so cool what the heck wait that’s cool wait that’s cool opens up and closes wait that’s so cool what the heck those are magnets yeah these are both magnets oh shoot i didn’t realize that it wasn’t obvious that they were magnets i translated them to make sure and then I was like “No I’m convinced.” This one was like kind of right at the entrance oh um and they at first I thought they were tiny coasters must have missed it i almost missed it it was one of the last things that I first go first this one yeah oh I kind of wanted really like any of these they’re the other this is a Mario game collection yes uh Super Mario and it has six different Okay sunshine oh that’s what we played together oh it’s 3D World nice 3d World i think uh Sunshine would have been the best i agree but it’s okay it’s cute that we played this one together and we got it last year here’s the drop for the normal oh my gosh ones it’s got some consoles logo see what this one is this is the Hana hana one traditional at least it looks very traditional interesting you get more Hanafura this is the same oh yes it was made to be i really wanted um made to be i really wanted literally any of these in the middle the duplicate was kind of the best scenario but oh well one can go in the mini fridge and one can go in the Yeah and that was the Nintendo gota overall it was okay it was decent i’m happy with the merch thanks for tuning in [Music]
