Tokyo Bay Rail Tour – Chiba to Ariake (4K) (Train Ambience)
Managed to catch an express service on the JR Keiyo line, which is a perfect route to get into Tokyo city from Chiba, with a scenic view towards the harbour for the most part. Then at Shin-Kiba station, I swapped to the Rinkai metro line, as my destination was in Ariake, though that line would also take you through Odaiba.
There was a short walk to my hotel, which was beautified by countless tulip blooms of varying hues, including some rather goth looking flowers to contrast the pink blush.
Arriving before check-in time, I left my luggage and crossed the plaza to the food court, where I learnt I could customise the Coco curry, adding an entire extra topping – and some healthy sides.
Back to the hotel and my room was on a high floor, which meant I had the perfect outlook towards the harbour and the flight path into Haneda, so I was a happy plane-spotter!
