The room feels super cozy and spacious, with a balcony where you can step out for fresh air and take in the breathtaking lake scenery. Plus, we have a private onsen in our room — can’t wait to try it. Right before dinner, we headed upstairs to the 8th floor to try the public bath. The view from there was incredible — soaking in the hot spring while watching the sunset was such a relaxing way to start the evening. After that, we took a short little walk to another building nearby where dinner was served. After that, we took a short little walk to another building nearby where dinner was served. We spent two nights at The Lake Suite Ko No Sumika in Lake Toya, Hokkaido this April, and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences and most peaceful stays we’ve ever had in Japan. This luxury hotel offers stunning lake views, a private onsen in the room. We enjoyed delicious half buffet style dinner and breakfast featuring seasonal and local Japanese dishes. If you’re planning a trip to Lake Toya and want a peaceful, luxury stay with amazing food and views, this place is definitely worth checking out!
