From Quiet Streets to a Volcano’s Peak | Unzen, Japan

We spent the day exploring the peaceful mountain town of Unzen, Nagasaki, known for its natural beauty and volcanic history.

The first part of our journey takes us through quiet streets filled with flowers, stone paths, and even a surprise cat. In the second half, we ride the Unzen Ropeway into the clouds for panoramic views of Heisei Shinzan, a volcanic peak formed after a massive eruption in the 1990s.
