Millenary tradition and technological challenge, deep roots and global vision. This is the story that Sardinia will bring to the Universal Exposition in Osaka 2025, where it will be the protagonist of the Italian Pavilion from 22 to 28 June. The participation, coordinated by the Regional Department of Industry, represents a strategic showcase to promote the identity of the Island and contribute to the international debate on the future of the environment, society and technology. “With this presence – explained the Vice President of the Region, Giuseppe Meloni – Sardinia will have the opportunity to show the world its specificities, enhancing in particular its cultural heritage, design, artisan traditions, environmental sustainability and the innovative technological solutions that are emerging in the territory”. The Sardinian theme is part of the Italian theme “Art regenerates life”, with the aim of exploring the dialogue between memory and modernity. The Island will present itself as a laboratory of sustainability, resilience and innovation, with particular attention to craftsmanship reinterpreted in a contemporary key and the use of culture as a driver of development. The dense and varied program will open on Sunday, June 22nd with the ribbon cutting by the regional councilor for Tourism Franco Cuccureddu (10.30:24 local time).
