this is Japan’s best city for dessert lovers and today we’re eating our way through it we’re in a small town in Hokkaido also known as Japan’s food paradise we’re starting with a $20 dessert the famous Yubati melon with Hokkaido milk ice cream on top it’s tasty but you can do better for $20 one example is this fried chicken spot which will feed two people for the same amount it’s also a fantastic lunch which I highly recommend between desserts we’re checking out the local souvenirs this town is famous for its glassware Hokkaido snowbirds and music boxes the next dessert is Hokkaido milk avocado and milk tea ice cream at this super cozy cafe right next to it you’ll find this viral ice cream sensation for about four bucks you’ll get eight layers of Hokkaido milk ice cream problem was that I still hadn’t had a classic Hokkaido milk ice cream for the day so that’s ice cream number four we also got Cheesecake to go and you will find everything about these desserts in the caption make sure to follow for more hidden gems in Japan

In Otaru, Hokkaido you’ll find a dessert paradise. Indulge in Hokkaido milk ice cream @letao_official cheesecake and so much more. This is the perfect day trip from Sapporo and you’ll get there in about 40 minutes by train from Sapporo station. 🚉

@popurafarm yubari melon ice cream. This gets 3,5/5 mostly due to the ice cream being better elsewhere and the high price in relation to what you got. The melon itself was quite delicious though and it’s also very famous in Hokkaido so it is worth trying!
Naruto Chicken – their fried chicken sets are a local favorite and your money goes a lot further here too. Try out their famous signature sets. I’ll give it 5/5. Come early as there’s usually a line during lunch hour.

Sit down and enjoy a treat or two! In the back you’ll find the viral eight level Hokkaido milk soft serve with flavors like melon, strawberry milk, chocolate and more. It’s not overrated, try it! 🍦
For classic Hokkaido milk ice cream, head to the traditional shop Shofukuya. It feels like you’re stepping back in time, and the owner is very sweet too. It’s a 5/5!
If you’re still not tired of dessert, grab one of the legendary @letao_official cheesecakes to take home. They offer delicious samples in the store, so beware, you might fall in love. I went for the strawberry cheesecake version and highly recommend it!🍓
