喧騒の京都を越えて:天橋立で静寂に包まれる旅 | 京都観光
Amanohashidate is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan in northern Kyoto. This unique sandbar is what is known as Amanohashidate. This distinctive landform is also known as “Shoryukan” (Rising Dragon View). Amanohashidate is one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views and is famous for its breathtaking scenery. This beautiful landscape and historic sites continue to attract visitors. In this video, we will introduce the many charms of Amanohashidate. You can enjoy the view from observation decks, take a walk, or ride a boat. Be sure to watch until the end and experience the beauty of Amanohashidate. Feel Japan offers travel ideas in Japan. Amanohashidate View Land is located on the mountain peak south of Amanohashidate. It is the perfect spot to see the entire sandbar. One of its highlights is the unique way of viewing called “Matanozoki.” By looking at the landscape upside down,
you can see a vision resembling a dragon soaring into the sky. The park has various attractions, making it enjoyable for families with children. You can easily access it via a lift or cable car. On the way to Amanohashidate, you will pass through Monzen Town. This street is lined with souvenir shops, restaurants, and hotels. One of the must-visit spots here is the tea house. Be sure to try “Chie no Mochi”,
a traditional sweet rice cake topped with mildly sweet red bean paste. This delicacy has been enjoyed for over 700 years. Past Monzen Town, you will find Chionji Temple. It is a highly esteemed temple and one of Japan’s Three Great Monju Temples. The temple is believed to bring blessings for wisdom and academic success. The rotating bridge connects Monzen Town to Amanohashidate
and is one of the landmarks of the area. This is because the bridge rotates every time a boat passes through,
creating a rare and fascinating sight. Many people gather to see the bridge in motion. If you want to witness this, check the rotation schedule in advance. Amanohashidate stretches about 3.6 kilometers in length and has a width of 20 to 170 meters. Around 6,700 pine trees grow along the sandbar. The white sandy beach is beautiful, so be sure to walk down to the waterfront. This unique landform was naturally formed over thousands of years. It is possible to walk across the entire sandbar, but it takes about 50 minutes. Many visitors choose to rent a bicycle for the journey. As you walk along Amanohashidate, you will come across Hashidate Tea House. This restaurant offers delicious seafood dishes. One of the most popular specialties here is Asari clam rice bowl. The dish consists of rice infused with the umami flavor of the clams
and topped with a generous amount of Asari clams. In the central part of Amanohashidate, you will find Amanohashidate Shrine. This shrine is believed to bring blessings for relationships and maritime safety. Many visitors stop here to pray. Next to the shrine is a famous well called Iso Shimizu. Despite being surrounded by the sea, this well miraculously produces fresh water. Once you reach the other side of Amanohashidate, you will find Motoise Kono Shrine. This shrine is known for its deep connection to Ise Jingu in Mie Prefecture. Ise Jingu is one of the most sacred places in Japan. With a history spanning over 2,000 years,
it enshrines one of the most important deities in Japanese mythology. Experience the grandeur of its architecture and the solemn atmosphere. On the northern mountain,
there is another observation spot called Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park. You can reach this park by lift or cable car. This park offers a different angle to admire Amanohashidate
compared to the southern Amanohashidate View Land. You can also cross Amanohashidate by sightseeing boat. This boat takes about 10 minutes one way, allowing you to enjoy the view from the sea. On the second deck, seagulls will approach the boat, following alongside it. You can even feed the seagulls, so consider buying some food before boarding. In this video, you will see the boat passing through the rotating bridge. However, please note that regular sightseeing boats no longer pass through this area. If you have traveled all the way to Amanohashidate, you should also visit Ine no Funaya. Ine no Funaya is a unique fishing village where houses are built directly on the water. The first floor serves as a garage for boats, while the second floor is a residential space. This rare architectural style is found only in a few places in Japan. The row of boathouses along the coastline creates a picturesque view,
especially when seen from the sea. There are two ways to access Ine no Funaya: by bus or by boat. If you take a bus, board the route bus from Amanohashidate Station to Ine,
which takes about 60 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a sightseeing boat from Amanohashidate to Ine Bay,
allowing you to enjoy the scenic journey by sea. Amanohashidate is not just a sightseeing spot;
it is a special place where Japan’s history, culture, and natural beauty come together. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery throughout the changing seasons
and immerse yourself in the charm of Amanohashidate. We hope this video will serve as a helpful guide for your travels. Thank you for watching the video until the end.
