Rainbow Bridge stands as a gateway to the futuristic cityscape, stretching boldly across Tokyo Bay.

By day, its sleek white structure gleams against the blue sky. By night, it transforms into a magical “arch of light,” with 444 lights glowing in dazzling rainbow hues that enchant the Tokyo skyline.

This suspension bridge spans roughly 800 meters and features a rare two-level design: the upper deck carries the expressway, while the lower deck accommodates the Yurikamome line, regular roads, and a pedestrian walkway. Walking across gives you front-row access to spectacular views of Tokyo Bay. At 58 meters above sea level, this sky-high stroll offers panoramic sights of Tokyo Tower, Skytree, and the Odaiba skyline.

The name “Rainbow Bridge” was chosen through a public contest, embodying a hopeful vision of a “bridge to the future.” True to that spirit, its illumination changes colors to match the seasons or special events—a display not to be missed.
