Heritage Expeditions welcomed a select group of Australia’s leading travel advisors on a VIP 11-day Japan famil sailing from Osaka to Tokyo.

The 11 agents, hand-selected from Heritage Expeditions newly minted Virtuoso partnership, the senior management team at Luxury Travel Collection and other top-selling leading distribution partners are experiencing an authentic experience aboard Heritage Expeditions 140-guest flagship, Heritage Adventurer, exploring some of Japan’s iconic highlights alongside lesser-known and rarely visited coastlines in true Heritage Expeditions style.

Commercial director and expedition leader Aaron Russ said the VIP famil was a fantastic way of sharing both Heritage Expedition’s all-inclusive, authentic expeditions and one of the best ways to explore Japan, the world’s hottest travel destination with more than 36.9 million visitors in 2024.

“People don’t necessarily think of Japan as an expedition cruise destination, but Japan has some 6,852 islands – most of them wild and remote,” Russ said. “Mix this with its futuristic cities, iconic gardens, wilderness and wildlife, ancient traditions, history and world-renowned cuisine all delivered in Heritage Expeditions unique style, and you have an incredible expedition cruise experience.”

Hosted by Heritage Expeditions Australian sales manager Chris le Roux, the voyage explores three of Japan’s islands including main island Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku, along with South Korea. Highlights include Japan’s famous art island Naoshima, Hiroshima, Miyajima’s floating Torii Gate, ancient castles, world-famous gardens, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites while uncovering samurai and geisha legacy, cultural exchanges and sampling Japan’s world-famous cuisine, sake and omotenashi hospitality.

Heritage Expeditions Japan voyages, as featured in season seven of acclaimed Australian travel show Luxury Escapes: The World’s Best Holidays, range from 11 – 16 days and operate between Tokyo and Osaka giving travel advisers the opportunity tailor unforgettable pre- or post-cruise extensions.
