FIRST CLASS on Japan’s Bullet Train (Tokyo to Nagano at 260 km/h!)

[Music] now today I’m traveling on a Japanese bullet train from Tokyo to Nago to see the snow monkeys I’m traveling in Grand Class to best seats on the bullet train So I’ll show you all the details from the train station lounge to the seats food service So with that let’s take a quick stop in the Grandass Lounge at Tokyo Station After a quick coffee and washroom break I made it to platform 20 early Why Japanese trains are known to arrive early and depart within seconds of the scheduled departure time [Music] So the cars for about minutes couple minutes to unload about 7 minutes for them to clean and then another 3 minutes So almost time to go Thank you Now these shinkersonen trains are also called bullet trains because of their speed I mean speeds of up to 200 mph 320 kilometers per hour Now that’s much faster than most cars but not quite as fast as a Formula 1 car [Music] Entering the cabin beautiful beige tone You have a 21 configuration with six rows 18 seats total Now these seats actually look more like a high-end first class airline seat For a moment I felt like I boarded a plane rather than a train Shall we depart Now today I’m traveling solo I’m seated in three Alpha and with no neighbors to my left it felt even more spacious So almost immediately an attendant came over with a welcome bag with some goodies Guys this is not a meal that’s coming later Let’s have a look inside Water chocolates hand wipes and a menu [Music] So now let’s clean the hands and sample this chocolate Now the chocolate is moderately sweet and smooth Marv goes approveof Now the seats guys soft comfortable leather It’s within a shell that you can adjust to different seating positions [Music] So now I’m 6′ 6 in tall and I had lots of leg rooms One time for the tall guys So I was very comfortable in my favorite slight recline position Now the Grandass Cabin is designed for quiet and relaxing experience and it was really quiet so I really enjoyed that So today’s train ride is only 1 hour and 20 minutes and they serve a meal [Music] I selected the Japanese bento box Now I forgot to take a picture of the menu and I have no idea what they all were I just say they were all edible If you know what I ate comment below These sake drinks and tea are also available Oh saki sak me please I had a couple I really enjoyed it [Music] [Music] It’s very smooth It’s really really smooth Now slippers were also provided Some guys are wearing American size 16 and let’s just say these were maybe a size 10 No cigar for the large feet This is like a size eight and I’m a size 16 So ladies and feet men you can enjoy They got you covered with the small size So the grand class had a small unisex toilet on board Those with a disability it was very spacious So very considerate there In addition they had a separate ladies area and a men’s area as well So very thoughtful So I’m in a tight I’m 6′ 6 but I can make it This first class luxury experience was short awesome and extremely comfortable Now Japanese service is top tier guys All light and so friendly Now can I just import this Japanese service to Jamaica and the US Guys thanks for watching Let me know what you think about the Grand Class on the bullet train Like and subscribe for more See you next time First stop Now I got to check into the hotel Snow Monkey is coming up [Music]
