The New York Times’ 52 best places to visit in 2025. Toyama Prefecture 4/4
0:00 I’m going back to Tokyo today.
It takes 2 hours by Shinkansen, but I’m going to take the mountain route called Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
I left Toyama Station at 6am and arrived at Shinjuku Station at 5:30pm.
It was originally a transport route for materials and personnel during the construction of Kurobe Dam.
This is a large-scale and majestic mountain riding route that is rare in Japan.
