4 Week Japan Trip in 3 Minutes + Channel Preview

In 3 minutes I’ll summarise our recent 
trip to Japan and preview what’s coming up on the channel. Start at Heathrow and 
fly economy to Munich with Lufthansa, then stay in the Premier Inn overnight. Next 
morning back to the airport, go in the nice lounge and pretend to be business people. Board 
Etihad flight in business class to Abu Dhabi. Arrive Abu Dhabi and go in the 
peaceful Zayed lounge for an hour, then board a Dreamliner 
for a 9-hour flight to Osaka. Wait in Kansai airport for 4 
hours to fly ANA Economy to Tokyo. Arrive in Tokyo 41 hours after 
leaving Heathrow. Check into our apartment which was modern but way 
too small. See some great things and eat some great food, and 
then after 5 days transfer by train to Kamakura. Rent a lovely 
house and a very nice little car. See more great things! Push the car to its limits 
going over a mountain – in order to see another mountain! Then see said mountain on the flight 
to Nagasaki. Rent another lovely apartment, see more great things. Eat more great food 
then make the final transfer back to Osaka. Eat some nice Ramen and Takoyaki. See some 
more great things. When it all comes to an end go in the lounge at KIX Kansai, 
then board the flight back to Abu Dhabi. Try to get some sleep. Arrive Abu 
Dhabi for a layover of 14 hours. Transfer to the Premier Inn. Next 
morning back to a deserted airport for breakfast with a view. Then 
back on board to fly to Munich. Next morning after another hotel, back on Lufthansa to Heathrow in 
economy. Land at Heathrow and go home!

We chose to start in Munich to take advantage of a decent Etihad Business class fare and we chose to fly straight from Osaka to Tokyo as we were planning on ending our holiday in Osaka prior to our departure flight. Would you fly such an itinerary to save money on a business class flight or would you fly direct? I’m keen to know so please use the comments section.
