Which Namba Station? Don’t worry—it’s your first time! We’ll guide you through all 6 Namba stations.
This video guides you through Namba Station, one of Osaka’s major terminal stations. There are six different stations with the name “Namba.” With many ticket gates, the layout can be confusing and easy to get lost in. Let’s check where each station is located so you can navigate more easily. Starting from platform 9 of Nankai Railway’s Namba Station.(for limited express Rapito only) Nankai has a north ticket gate on the 3rd floor and a central ticket gate on the 2nd floor. In this video, we will guide you through the north ticket gate on the 3rd floor. Take the escalator down to the first floor, and you will see the Namba Tourist Information Center diagonally to your right. On the right side of the passage
is the Namba nannan underground shopping center. The north-south ticket gate at the back of the lockers are for entrance only. The north-south ticket gate at the back of the lockers are for entrance only. Osaka Metro Namba Station has three lines: Midosuji Line, Sennichimae Line, and Yotsubashi Line. These three lines are connected inside the station, so you can reach your desired line from any ticket gate. Also, if you want to transfer from the Midosuji Line to the Sennichimae Line,
you can transfer without going through the ticket gate, as long as it’s between Osaka Metro lines. Osaka Metro has a color for each line, and the signs are also color-coded.
If you follow the signs, you can reach your destination line without getting lost. Turn left, and you will see the Northeast and Northwest ticket gates
of the Midosuji Line. You will see an escalator ahead. After going down the escalator, you will see the east ticket gate of Kintetsu / Hanshin Osaka-Namba Station in front of you and the east ticket gate of Osaka Metro Sennichimae Line on your right. Although Kintetsu Osaka-Namba Station and Hanshin Osaka-Namba Station are operated by different railway companies (Kintetsu and Hanshin),they are integrated as a station and share the same ticket gates and platforms. We’ll go back to the B1 floor and show you how to get to JR Namba Station and Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Namba Station from here. You can also reach Yotsubashi Line Namba Station by entering through the ticket gates of the Sennichimae Line or Midosuji Line and walking through the station. From the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line North Ticket Gate, go toward the North Street of 1st Avenue in the Namba Walk underground shopping area. The Namba Walk underground mall has two paths,
North Street and South Street, and you can go from either one. There are two underground shopping streets in Namba: “Nanba Nannan” and “Namba Walk.” There are many tasty and affordable restaurants, and it’s very convenient
for getting around on rainy or hot days. Be sure to check it out! Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Namba Station and JR Namba Station are a bit farther from here. Since the view will stay the same for a while, we’ll show information about the ticket gates at Namba Station in the meantime. There is an elevator at the end of the passage, and escalators and stairs on the right. For the west ticket gate of Kintetsu/Hanshin Osaka-Namba Station or Osaka Metro Sennichimae Line, please go down here. As you go along the Namba Walk passage, you will see the north ticket gate of Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line Namba Station on your left. You can’t see it from here, but the south ticket gate is at the end of the passage. You will see a connecting passage ahead that leads to JR Namba Station. You can also go through the passage inside the building on your left. For those going to Minatomachi Bus Terminal (also called Highway Bus Terminal or OCAT Bus Terminal),
please head to the 2nd floor of the OCAT building ahead. JR Namba Station is on the B1 floor of OCAT (Osaka City Air Terminal). You’ve arrived at JR Namba Station.
There are six Namba stations, so it can be very confusing. There are many ticket gates, and the station names are slightly different depending on the train company. That’s why we made this video to guide you through the complicated Namba area.
