Real fireflies in Tokyo – Kugayama Fireflies festival, Japan 2025 • 4K
No talking or faces, natural surround sound only.
I missed Fussa fireflies festival but found another one closer, though way more crowded.
I started from Kugayama station, walked to nearby Kugayama Inari shrine, to Kanda river and Tamagawa Aqueduct.
There were fireflies in the shrine and the park at Kanda river, but only in boxes. In Tamagawa Aqueduct fireflies were free. Those red sticks were really annoying.

30:55 We thought for a second that was the "Sushi Ramen Riku" kid running through your shot! Spectacular as always, DS says. Thank you!
I can't remember exactly the last time I saw fireflies, but it was at least 6 or 7 years ago. Thanks, Ram, for the videos.
This is amazing! I just saw fireflies in Wisconsin during my trip. First time in a while. Come home to this video with them. I remember we used to play in them when I was a kid. There were so many back then. Thank you again for another great walk in Japan.

Thanks, nice to see all the people enjoying their numerous festivals – little kids in yukata = really kawaii 👘🥰! Liked the quiet streets at about 30:00, quite a good place for living 😁. And loved the beautiful sunset🧡☀️💙! Fireflies… I imagine just going somewhere out, alone, find some and enjoy them in peace, no crowds, no lightsabres… just a dream, I know … (I've seen them only once, many years ago 🤗)

We have fireflies in my state of Wisconsin 🙂 Very neat seeing them light up the night, although there aren't as many fireflies as in the past. I'm glad you and people in Japan are able to experience them!
Ah! Pre-whacked fireflies!!
Hello all, at 5:17 there are softdrinks in the vendor mashine with prices between 110 and 200. This is between 0,66€ and 1,20€. Am i right? if yes, this is pretty cheap, isn´t it? German here, North of Germany, cheaper area of germany with all cotst. we have also some of this vendor mashines here outside, not very often. here the prices are much higher. 2-3,5€ for a softdrink is usual. (340 to 600)
👣 👍
Thanks for the Video .
I'm shocked that they can survive at all in the middle of Tokyo, one of the biggest, most sprawling megalopolises in the world. They must be artificially cultivating and releasing them. This species seems to flash more slowly than the ones here in the US Northeast.
I only saw fireflies one night in my life, about 20 years ago on a summer night near a river in southern Spain. It was a beautiful experience 🌃
5:24 Bro loves his green tea 😂
Gracias por permitirme acompañarte en esta caminata. Lo disfruté. La vida como lo es sin actores, al natural el día a día es preciosa 😊.
Thank you for the excellent video. The residential area is nice, I like walking past the homes and checking out the neighborhoods.
