Kobe’s BEST Onsen Town! Arima Onsen Travel Guide & Must-Try | Gekkoen Yugetsusanso Hotel | Mt. Rokko

[Music] good morning everyone welcome back to the channel today we’re kicking off a 2-day trip to Arma which is just a 30-minut drive from Corb Osaka let’s hit the road we’re starting our journey from the Corb and we traveled from Kansai International Airport in Osaka to Corb yesterday and we’ve just picked up our rental car from today [Music] [Applause] in case you are interested we stayed at Luminous Hotel Sania at Kobe for the night before we hit the road to Arma it is about 5 to 8 minute walk from the metro although the interior looks traditional the room is spacious and the bathroom is huge and definitely exceeded our anticipation it located on a quiet street but close enough to malls food options and transportation hub and we had a comfortable stay [Music] one of the best parts about traveling is road trip it took about 30 minutes to get to Arma from [Music] Corb if you are not driving and instead you are taking metro to Arma onen you can also call the hotel to pick you up from the Ama station when you arrive there is a public paid telephone right at the arma station and it will only take you 2 to 3 minutes to get to the hotel with the hotel shuttle we’re staying at a beautiful H onen hotel for a night it’s called Gecken Yuget Susanso Hotel with a traditional Japanese [Music] architecture this place is part of the same hotel group as another hotel called Kuroken gekken Yuggetso is a classic Japanese in while Kuroken is an eight-story modern facility [Music] check-in isn’t until 3 p.m so we dropped off our bags and headed out to explore the main [Music] street sadly it is a Wednesday and in Arma a lot of shops and restaurants are closed today even some places that Google Maps says are open turned out to be [Music] shut arma is an onen town in Corb it has this charming old school vibe rather than a modern onen feel [Applause] [Music] hey [Music] hey onen has two kinds of springs one is kinsen as known as gold spring which has watercolored yellow brown from iron and salt the other is gensen or called silver spring which is colorless and contains radium and carbonate [Music] first things first let’s fuel up with some local delicacies don’t miss the ARA’s famous carbonated beverages and snacks like AMA biscuits these shops often also sell other local specialties including various pickles and condiments made from regional ingredients and there are a couple of souvenir shops selling a range of traditional items from keychains and casual kimono dough and more unique souvenirs like gold and sliver onen bathing powder which is full of minerals for healing and I got myself a few of them next up we had some street food corlock K made with Corbay [Applause] beef it is tasty and juicy there were a lot more restaurant and street food that we want to try out but unfortunately they were closed on Wednesday we randomly get into a restaurant serving sushi and other local cuisine we ordered a grilled rice and a sashimi don everything looks so exquisite and tastes even better we also got ourselves in caramel mixed ice cream as the dessert of the day the atmosphere in Arma is incredibly relaxed where people seem to move at a leisurely pace savoring each moment rather than rushing through their day it’s the kind of environment where you can unwind let go of your worries and truly enjoy the present moment it is almost 400 p.m and let’s go check in and relax the hotel is absolutely gorgeous with a perfect blend of traditional Japanese elements now let’s get settled in and head to our [Music] room the room is so cozy and spacious [Music] [Applause] [Music] and we have a comfy indoor balcony for chilling [Music] the hotel provided us with beautiful kimonos to wear during our stay allowing us to immerse ourselves in the rich traditions of Japanese culture this hotel got a total of six onen with three of them being private ones that you can reserve either online or when you get here although we are staying at Yuggetso Hotel we can also use the onen at their sister hotel Kuroken the three private onen are called Cypress onen cave onen and wine onen we booked the cave onen at night this cave bath is surrounded by rugged rocks and it feel like you are staying at an outdooren and I recommended to book it for the daytime so you can have the best view through the cave [Music] today we’re diving into one of the most iconic spots in the Concai region Roan we are driving from Arma to Roan it took approximately 25 minutes to get there there are a number of ways to get up the mountain you can take bus or take the cable car up the mountain from Kobe city all right [Music] roo San or Mount Roco is part of the Roco mountain range and stands at about 931 meters [Music] [Applause] tall it’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists especially because of its stunning panoramic views of Kobe and Osaka this spot is a must-see especially around sunset the view from up here is insane you can see the entire city of Kobe the harbor and on a clear day all the way to [Applause] [Music] Osaka it’s the perfect place to snap some epic photos and just soak in the beauty of it all dot the views are absolutely breathtaking [Music] at the top of Roo Sand there’s the Roco Garden Terrace which is perfect for chilling out after your [Music] hike you can grab a bite to eat enjoy some local [Music] delicacies and even check out some cool shops [Music] [Applause] [Music] so if you’re ever in the Concai area definitely make a pit stop at Roco Sand for the [Music] view thanks for tagging along on this adventure and I can’t wait to share more with you next time don’t forget to like subscribe and hit that bell for more travel fun [Applause] [Music]
