Exploring Ningle Terrace & Cheese Factory & Marche in Furano | Hokkaido | Japan | 4K HDR
Air temperature 17.2°C / 62.96°F This time, continuing from the previous video, I explore more tourist spots in Furano. Let’s start here at Ningle Terrace. If you’re interested, please check out the previous video of exploring Furano as well. Ningle Terrace is a small craft village with a fairytale-like atmosphere nestled in the forest within the New Furano Prince Hotel grounds. It features about 15 charming cottages, each offering unique Furano-made crafts such as wood carvings, handmade leather goods, paintings, and accessories inspired by the local nature—items you can only find here. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to take a peaceful walk under the dappled sunlight and explore the many artisan shops. While the summer season like this offers a wonderful atmosphere, it’s said that during snowy winter, the terrace is lit up with illuminations, creating an even more romantic ambiance. Unfortunately, it looks like the café here is currently closed. The small building right next to Ningle Terrace is the Furano Drama Gallery, a facility where you can experience the worlds of Japanese TV dramas such as “Kita no Kuni Kara”,”Yasashii Jikan”, and “Kaze no Garden”. It also offers a variety of original goods. Furano Drama Gallery Within the New Furano Prince Hotel area, there are many nature-themed attractions such as the Picnic Garden, park golf, tree trekking, ropeway, hot air balloon flights, Segway tours and so on. Furano Cheese Factory At this cheese factory, surrounded by white birch trees, you can view the cheese production room and aging cellar through glass windows, or join a hands-on tour. Additionally, this area features 2 types of workshops: a pizza workshop using an authentic wood-fired oven imported from Naples, and an ice milk workshop selling ice milk and cheese soft serve made from Furano milk. On the second floor, there is a direct sales area, a tasting corner, a cheese history exhibit, and also a photo spot where you can pose as a cheesemaker. Maison de Pierre Wine cheddar Seppia I wanted to try the Neapolitan pizza, but the long line and wait time were overwhelming, so I gave up… Furano Marche At the Marche located in the central area of Furano, you can purchase fresh local products and souvenirs from Furano, and there is also a wide variety of light meals available. I’m heading to Asahikawa Airport just to eat ramen. Asahikawa Airport I’ve featured Asahikawa Airport in several past walking tour videos, so I go through in a snap this time. If you’re interested, be sure to check out the playlist. This time, I chose the Santouka’s normal shio ramen and Gyoza dumplings.

This video shows you a walk through some sightseeing spots in Furano.
Since this walk around Furano turned out to be quite long, I shared it in two videos.
You can check the first part of the Furano walking tour here.
In this video, I explore Ningle Terrace, Furano Cheese Factory and Furano Marche.
Furano City is located near the center of Hokkaido and, along with its surrounding areas, is one of the Hokkaido’s most representative tourist destinations.
Since 1991, Furano and its surrounding areas have been selected in several rankings, including “Japan’s 100 Most Beautiful Village Landscapes”, and the city consistently ranks in the top 10 in surveys of municipal attractiveness.
