18 Days in Fukuoka, Japan Itinerary

Our base was Hakata, Fukuoka. We did a mix of chill days and day trips across Kyushu and chased cherry blossoms along the way 🌸

Day 1 – Arrival at Hakata. Chill muna
Day 2 – Mt. Aso, Kamishikimi Kumano Shrine, and Kurokawa Onsen in Kumamoto (booked via Klook)
Day 3 – Maizuru Park and Ohori Park in Fukuoka for cherry blossoms
Day 4 – Nishi Park in Fukuoka for more Sakura viewing
Day 5 – Day tour to Karato Market (Yamaguchi), Mojiko Port (Fukuoka), Motonosumi Shrine (Yamaguchi), and Kokura Castle (Fukuoka) also via Klook
Day 6 – Tenjin day. Window shopping and food trip
Day 7 – Rest day at Hakata
Day 8 – Kumamoto City day trip
Day 9 – Yufuin day trip in Oita via Yufuin no Mori train,super scenic train ride!
Day 10 – Ogi Park in Saga Prefecture for cherry blossoms
Day 11 – Another rest day in Hakata, we needed this! Haha
Day 12 – Beppu in Oita for hot springs, worth the visit!
Day 13 – Nagasaki City day trip, a day full of reflection
Day 14 – Kagoshima day trip. Loved the vibe and the trams here
Day 15 – Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka for fresh air and open space
Day 16 – Shopping around Hakata
Day 17 – Maizuru Park again for Wisteria, chill time at Ohori Park, and tried the yatai food stalls in Tenjin
Day 18 – Last-minute shopping before heading home
