so what’s inside the pavilions at the 2025 Wasaka World Expo come with us to the Kai Pavilion that shows off nine of Japan’s famous prefectures like Fukui where we hunted for dinosaurs using magic flashlights before touching their poop mi where we posed in traditional clothing Shiga which captivated us with its beautiful art or Tokushima where we each got fortunes of varying luck we spent over 1 and 1/2 hours here collecting all nine stamps and there’s still more to do you’ll need to make reservations for this pavilion so follow me and Kevin as we share how to win reservations for the Osaka World Expo

How to explore 9 prefectures in Japan in 90 minutes 🤩 Part 2 of our adventures at the Osaka World Expo 2025! 🇯🇵

One of the coolest parts about the Expo are the pavilions themself! We won a lottery reservation for the Kansai Pavilion, which featured art, culture, and things to do in these 9 Japan prefectures: Shiga, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori, Tokushima, Fukui, and Mie 🗾

This was our very first pavilion we visited at the Expo and set the tone for the rest! We loved how interactive many of the exhibits were, like 🦖 dinosaur hunts, indigo dying, seeing a gold fan used in important ceremonies (never put on display until this Expo!), fortune telling 🥠, and cool artistic shows.

Fukui and Mie made the biggest impression on us – I did a double take on Fukui having an Obama City 🌆 while Mie had delicious looking but fake Matsusaka beef 🐄 (one of the great wagyu beef varieties besides Kobe beef). We’ll have to check them out some time in the future!

Kevin made a beeline for all the stamps ⭐ There’s a stamp for each prefecture! So make sure to get the official Expo stamp book, or bring your own 📖

Side note, we actually panic ran to the pavilion because we were running late for our reservation time – the East Gate crowds in the morning are no joke 😮 – but thankfully they still let us in 🙏
