The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, delivered the keynote speech at the official Kosovo Day ceremony within the framework of EXPO 2025, which is being held in Osaka, Japan.

In her speech, President Osmani recalled Kosovo Liberation Day, which is marked on June 12, describing it as a day that honors the courage of those who fought for freedom and the strength of the alliances that supported the people of Kosovo in the most difficult moments.

“Our people were finally liberated from a genocidal regime – a day that honors the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” she said.

She emphasized that today Kosovo is a democratic state that looks towards the future, guided by the rule of law and a visionary new generation, committed to Euro-Atlantic values.

The President also praised relations with Japan, describing Japanese support after the war as the foundation of a strong and lasting friendship.

“As Kosovo continues its path of development and strengthening its international position, we look forward to further deepening this partnership,” concluded Osmani. /Telegrafi/
