Kyrgyzstan aims to strengthen tourism cooperation with Japan – Head of Tourism Department

AKIPRESS.COM – Kyrgyzstan places great importance on developing tourism partnerships with Japan, Director of the Department of Tourism Erdenet Kasymov said during the meeting with representatives of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) on June 10.

Kasymov noted that, to follow up on the agreements made during President Sadyr Japarov’s visit to Japan in November 2023, an informational familiarization tour (Fam tour) was organized for the Japanese side.

“We believe this Fam tour will allow you to personally experience Kyrgyzstan’s tourism potential and serve as a foundation for future cooperation,” he stated.

Kyrgyzstan views tourism exchange as part of people-to-people diplomacy and a way to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries. As part of the visit, a B2B meeting between Kyrgyz and Japanese tour operators was also held.
